Great - I'm on the waiting list for my favourite yoga class tomorrow - didn't manage to book in time Envy
I did okay-ish on No S last week - a few small snacks when lunch was really late but nothing too bad.

beela · 29/04/2018 13:53

Hi all, I've not posted for ages but I'm still following no-s (mostly).

I've had several very s weekends in a row, this weekend is dd's birthday and yesterday I basically just ate cheese and cake on a rolling basis it was great

We're off on holiday in 4 weeks so I'm posting for accountability. I need to stick to no-s with no cheating for the next month. Bring it on!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 29/04/2018 19:42

I’ve had a reasonable week - was out Thursday and had a lot more than 2 drinks, and a pudding, but my weekend was a lot calmer so it’s balanced out. The only S I have had during the weekend has been chocolate ginger biscuits. Will be back to my N week happily, I think.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 30/04/2018 14:52

Missed breakfast today - disorganised start! I have had normal lunch and will just see how hungry I am later on. I could always have a third plate at some point if I really want it.

beela · 30/04/2018 17:08

I had planned out a week of healthy meals after the weekend's sugar and cheese fest, but ended up meeting a friend for lunch at a coffee shop today. Those places have zero vegetables! But I stuck to a toastie, shared with dd, and haven't been snacking this afternoon.

MrsFranceLynch · 30/04/2018 21:17

Massively late to this party but would love to join. I have lurked for the last few days and found this such a nice sensible thread. I’m about a stone and a half heavier than I was pre children and as the youngest is three I need to change something. I think snacking is my downfall. I started last Thursday and then had the weekend as s days - Saturday was ok but Sunday was a bit OTT gf crepe with chocolate and banana at 3pm with a banana mug cake topped with ice cream at about 8pm. Today was good. Breakfast was porridge, lunch was a Leon hot box thing and dinner was huge bowl of tomato soup with toast and a plum.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 01/05/2018 08:15

Hi MrsFranceLynch! Love the username.

pitterpatterrain · 01/05/2018 08:19

(the sun is out!)

Ate way too much over the weekend- really noticed it, and had a pudding when out with friends and it was so sweet - didn’t really enjoy it

Does anyone else get monthly sugar cravings? I feel this week is going to be a hard slog to avoid sweet stuff

MrsFranceLynch · 01/05/2018 21:51

Thanks Cheddar! I read Polo at a very impressionable age. Managed ok today but had 2.5 glass of pink wine today to celebrate the sun and getting a small promotion so I guess that’s an orange day. Am working at home tomorrow and that tends to be a killer.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 02/05/2018 10:03

I definitely get monthly sugar cravings, but I've not been doing No S consistently enough or for long enough to know whether that'll calm down. Hopefully!

MrsFL - congratulations on your promotion! I think promotion days are definitely S days. I also read Polo at a formative age (and all the others) - love them!

After missing breakfast on Monday I wasn't that hungry so just had 2 plates, and I felt fine until Tuesday morning when I was ravenous! I have stuck to No S but I was so hungry all day yesterday. I think if I miss breakfast again the sensible thing to do would be to have a mid-afternoon plate.

beela · 04/05/2018 08:39

MrsFL wine is allowed!

I've been battling the leftover birthday cake this week Cake But despite that I've not put any weight on so I count that as a win.

I definitely get monthly sugar cravings, or rather any food cravings. I have a couple of days when I just want to eat the whole time, then af starts and it all makes sense Grin

MrsFranceLynch · 04/05/2018 14:28

Thanks both first proper week on No S almost down. So far so good. Wednesday (wfh day) was hard - kept wanting to wander into the kitchen to graze. Managed to avoid snacking by having three big meals and going to bed at 8.30pm! Hope you all had good weeks

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 06/05/2018 15:39

Wobbly Friday - meals were ok but I had a lot to drink. Leaving do at work. Got home just after midnight and ate bread and butter - decided that 12.08 meant it was Saturday and therefore an S! Actual Saturday not too bad - only S's were an ice cream, which tasted disgusting (Mr Whippy type cheap and nasty), so I gave it to DH. That's unheard of for me! Then later I had a raspberry Magnum (Lidl version).

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 07/05/2018 14:38

Just joined the No S Facebook page and discovered a manager in my team is a member! Too scared to post now - will just lurk. He is someone I've never spoken to so there's a good chance he doesn't know my name, though.

Stressing about alcohol intake on N days - I hardly drink during the week unless I have a night out, but nights out are invariably on a Friday or even a Thursday and ruin my No S record! In the past 3 weeks I've been out twice, once on a Friday and once on a Thursday. Maybe I should try to compensate with an N Sunday instead. I got bogged down over this issue last time round as well!

MrsFranceLynch · 08/05/2018 19:39

I think the alcohol is tricky - I know you are allowed it on an N day, but I also know that it’s a trigger for me to eat more and I drink wine which has calories. I think you can only do your best Cheddar (tried to bold that - am struggling). There are always going to evenings which fall outside S days. What did everyone do for the bank holiday? I tried to treat it as an N day and failed at dinner (Bbq). I had seconds and puddingBlush. Oh well mark it and move on

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 09/05/2018 09:13

I was working on the bank holiday so it felt like a normal day for me. Luckily!

beela · 09/05/2018 09:40

My bank holiday was a big fat fail. I mea t to treat it as an N day but it felt far too much like the weekend. Marking and moving on...

On the plus side, I've just had warm banana and raspberry loaf (made with lots of good stuff - wholemeal flour, bananas, yoghurt, eggs, not too much sugar, raspberries, coconut oil), blueberries and a spoonful of Greek yoghurt for breakfast. So tasty!! And totally compliant Smile

MrsFranceLynch · 09/05/2018 17:40

That sounds delicious beala do you have a recipe? Yesterday was better and am going to weigh myself tomorrow. I know this will be slow but I wondered how long it took you to lose weight?

beela · 09/05/2018 19:27

It was on this website mrsf bakerbynature.com

It was called 'healthy raspberry chocolate chip banana bread'. Possibly stretching the definition of healthy, but it was soooo lovely, and actually kept me full for ages.

I lost a steady 1lb per week on average, I lost 3 stone in total and it took me just over a year. I've maintained for the last 3 months or so. I'd like to lose another 3lb to take me to a nice round (or not so round) 9.5 stone, but only for the sake of numbers, not because I want to be any smaller Grin

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 10/05/2018 09:36

I may have to buy some scales to see whether there’s any change! I wasn’t going to, but I’m worrying that being short, I may not actually lose. And I’d rather find that out sooner rather than later.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 10/05/2018 09:38

Although I don’t know my start weight. I could artificially add a few pounds - I am sure I’ve lost a little, because my clothes feel slightly looser.

beela · 10/05/2018 10:00

How about taking monthly photos? I wish I had done that. Or you could use a tape measure and take waist / bust / hip measurements.

beela · 10/05/2018 10:00

Well done on the looser clothier Flowers

beela · 10/05/2018 10:01

Clothes.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 10/05/2018 13:34

I took measurements this morning but I wish I had done it at the very beginning! And I have now cracked and ordered scales. Blush The clothes are very very marginally different, but a skirt that was painfully tight and digging into my belly is now reasonably comfortable. And I tried on a pair of culottes I bought 2 years ago when I was thinner and they seem to fit in about the same way (ie, ridiculously tight, could only wear them on fasting days when I was doing 5:2). I'd love for them to fit properly!

I have done hardly any exercise this last 2 or 3 weeks, too - need to get back to the gym on Monday! I have just eaten an enormous helping of bangers and mash, which is technically allowed but much more than I needed on a sedentary Thursday.
