Happy birthday Beela and Posie.
I'm also mad about soup but the bread fits on my rather large plate so Ho-hum Grin

healthandwealth · 31/10/2017 18:38

Oh shit I’ve just scoffed a whole load of the kids Halloween chocolates. Feeling disappointed as I’d been doing so well Confused

beela · 31/10/2017 19:08

healthandwealth - it doesn't matter, just jump back on. As posie would say, mark it and move on!

I was decorating marshmallows with dd today (melted chocolate & sprinkles) - had 3 marshmallows and felt quite guilty. Then I remembered that I used to get through a whole packet in a couple of days just because I'd eat one every time I walked past the cupboard Halloween Blush

I did a tough spin class this morning so not a terrible day, all things considered.

healthandwealth · 31/10/2017 21:55

Thanks Beela. You’re right, I’d probably normally eat way more than that without even realising what I was doing. Anyway made myself a big batch of soup and will get back on it!

twofloorsup · 02/11/2017 21:42

Hi all hope you're doing ok.
I'm struggling with the gym at the moment I'm tired, busy and just not in the mood.
I'm toying with cancellation but then remember why I joined in the first place. I think I need a giant boot up the backside.
I feel sluggish too so there's definitely a difference when I do go.
Food is going ok still picking whilst preparing though.

Morning all,

Well I’ve lost 3lb this week!! Whoop whoop! My stomach not so bloated too which is great.
Found it hard on Wednesday for some reason.
But now I’ve been eating 3 decent meals a day I’ve felt no need to snack in evening!
I’ve kept myself going by telling myself “wait till weekend, I’m going to eat xyz “ but now weekend here I feel it might wreck all I’ve done!?
Hope your all doing ok?

beela · 05/11/2017 20:02

Hi two maybe you could sign up for a class or something to get you remotivated? Apologies if you already do that!

gohack woohoo! Well done Smile

knitting I've just read your other thread and it really resonated with me. I am all about nourishment these days. The most nourishing options are usually the healthiest and most satiating. They aren't necessarily the lowest calorie options but that's fine because they keep you going for longer.

I'm feeling good at the moment, working towards a mini goal on the weight front and hoping to get there soon..... but still enjoyed my slice of homemade cake today Cake

Have a good week everyone.

Jasmine29 · 05/11/2017 21:16

How has everyone's weekend been?

I've gone a bit crazy with snacks. Don't know if it's TOTM related or just plain greed! Quite looking forward to getting back to 3 meals tomorrow.

twofloorsup · 05/11/2017 21:23

Thanks for the suggestion Beela but that's my worst nightmare Grin

beela · 06/11/2017 07:56

Fair enough two Grin I must admit I stopped going to circuits when I realised that I felt like I was in a school pe lesson! (My worst nightmare).

twofloorsup · 06/11/2017 19:50

I dragged myself swimming yesterday the whole time convinced I was going to cancel my membership.
Instead I gave myself a good talking to and have come to the conclusion that as long as I attend 3 times a week minimum then I'm getting my money's worth and won't be lazing my way to a heart attack.
And that's good enough for now Smile
Had to eat early on all 3 meals today so am having the unusual sensation of being peckish in the evening.
Early night and hot milk for me I think !
Hope you're all well.

healthandwealth · 08/11/2017 05:15

Good to hear how everyone’s been doing. Thank goodness for this thread. Was just about to have a few mindless snacks then thought I’ll check to see if there’s been any new posts..I got so distracted I ended up not having the snacks!
No weight loss here for me but I almost feel like my appetite is decreasing a little bit and I feel more satisfied after each meal.

twofloorsup · 09/11/2017 07:34

Did any of you watch the secrets of a slim person thingy on channel 4 last night ?
They basically said these two were slim because they eat what they want but they sit down and eat it as a meal, don't really snack and drink little or no alcohol.
It was really interesting.

PosiePootlePerkins · 09/11/2017 15:59

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't checked in for a while. Have had a few struggles myself but so far have stayed strong. Just feeling the urge to rebel which is strange after all this time. DH is away for a couple of weeks, this weekend is the third weekend without him so I am getting fed up with it!
Two well done you for going swimming. 3 times a week is fabulous if you can! I missed that programme, will see if I can get it on catch up, sounds interesting.
Health sounds like you're still going strong! Great that your appetite is decreasing, that's progress!

beela · 09/11/2017 16:41

Evening all! That programme sounds interesting two, I'll look for it on catch up.

posie the urge to rebel comes and goes for me. I'm wondering if it's got anything to do with my menstrual cycle?!

I've had lots of comments about my weight loss this week (possibly due to new smaller clothes? Size 10 jeans, woohoo!!), so that helps with motivation. I still haven't mastered 'sometimes' at the weekends.... Although compared with my previous habits I'm still doing ok, I reckon.

Jasmine29 · 09/11/2017 16:47

I saw that secrets of slim people programme. It reminded me a bit of no s because they just seemed to do sensible eating. Wish I could just eat naturally like that! Hopefully the habits will gradually become second nature so I can just eat normally without thinking about it. The thing that jumped out at me was little or no alcohol. I tend to have some wine at the weekend but want to cut back. What does everyone else do about alcohol? I love red wine but just keep it to the weekend. I do wonder if that makes me drink more though, I tend to think well I haven't had any in the week, and I've earnt it!

twofloorsup · 09/11/2017 16:54

I think we all have a little rebel on us that pops out randomly from time to time Grin
I didn't go swimming today as I'm very tired so will definitely go tomorrow.
Jasmine I have never drank alcohol so it's never been an issue for me but I think No S does allow it.

PosiePootlePerkins · 09/11/2017 21:57

Beela well done in the compliments and the size 10 jeans, woop woop!Grin
Jasmine I also tend to save alcohol for the weekend, sometimes Friday night seems to require a glass or two! The official line is that a glass or two is fine.
Two yes I think you are right. Trying hard to squash that rebel right now! It would be so stupid to sabotage all the progress I've made with my relationship with food. I think it may be the old pattern of 'I'm done with this diet, let's go back to my old ways of eating'. This is for life, so I have to ride the wave and hopefully come out stronger.
Almost the weekend everyone, have a good FridaySmile

Gohackyourself · 10/11/2017 17:02

Hi all,

It’s fridayyyyyyyyy yay.
Congrats to all, even if you haven’t lost but maintained - it’s bloody hard going.
Monday’s are fine for me to jump back on wagon- it’s weds that’s my nemesis .
Lost 6lb in two weeks though so it’s right direction.
Got a bit of scary health issue going on - so the next two weeks are a bit worrying :-( still can’t change anything atm.

Onwards an upwards to the next two days beginning with “s”Grin

healthandwealth · 10/11/2017 20:42

Hope the health scare isn’t anything serious Hack. Well done on losing weight too.

I’m trying not to drink Monday-Thursday if I can. I don’t think it’s too bad having a drink but my willpower tends to fly out the window once I’ve had a glass of wine (or three!). Hubby always has chocolates/sweets every evening which doesn’t help! I’ve had a good week though and think I’m looking slimmer in the face. We’re out for dinner on Saturday night and I’m looking forward to having a dessert guilt free!

Happy healthy weekend everyone x

beela · 11/11/2017 11:31

I know it's a Saturday, but I am just hanging out in an ice cream parlour waiting to pick dd up from an ice cream party, and I am NOT having an ice cream while I wait. Just wanted to put that out there Grin

twofloorsup · 11/11/2017 14:46

Haha nice one Beela.
I'm nursing a heavy cold so have indulged in some fruit fool with sugar a plenty. It felt nice going down but can't say I actually tasted it Grin

Jasmine29 · 12/11/2017 14:08

That's really good Beela!
Hope you feel better soon Two.
I'm off to a burger place for my friend's birthday this evening.

I read something recently about restarting all the time, if you feel you messed up "oh well I'll restart on Monday, or on the 1st, or whenever" I think it's so easy to do that. I had a bad week for snacking and kind of gave up and thought I'll get back to it on Monday. But really I should have just kept going... keep going and get back on it straight away. Don't wait til Monday. I need to remember this. Keep going til an S day. Keep the habit going because it builds stronger habits the more we do this. I'm just saying this to myself to remind myself!
