Anyone doing one at the moment?

I've started exante this morning. Last year I lost 3 stone with Cambridge but Exante is loads cheaper. No meeting though so I need moral support if any one can give it!

Starting weight 249.2lb. Awful I know so no need to tell me.

It took two odd months but I did cheat here and there. It is hard to get into as I desperately wanted crappy food but the results are worth it. They normally say average a stone a month.

Venusflytwat · 13/06/2017 20:26

When I did Lighter Life as a sole source plan I lost nearly two stones in the first month. I felt really ill on it though and had to abandon it due to that.

Well I've gone over my 800 caps today on account of sitting here with a white wine spritzer, 4 squares or Dairy Milk and some strawberries. Normally though after a day like I've had today it would be a takeaway curry, two glasses of wine and the whole big bar of chocolate so it's progress of sorts. Am going to savour it and then go to bed early.

Hope everyone's hanging in there.

Better day today. Only one small slip which was kind of outside my (lack of) control. (Oops!) But not enough water. Making an effort tonight with flavoured sparkling water and will hit 3L for the day I think.

So tired and can't pay attention to threads so I'll read in more detail tomorrow.

Heads up, scales down!

@Venusflytwat that's insane to lose 2 stone in a month. Did you have lots to lose?

I've been eyeing up the tortilla crisps in the cupboard but don't want to ruin a good day. I'm a crisp whore and adore crisps. Why can't carrots and veg taste as good? weeps into water bottle

Venusflytwat · 13/06/2017 21:17

Msqueen I had about 5 stone to lose then. So a lot, but not like a whole extra person or anything.

500 cals a day for a month, all sachets/shakes. It was miserable. I had to stop in the end because (sorry TMI) I couldn't leave the toilet. I was just shitting water uncontrollably. I was scared I'd done proper damage to myself.

800 is ok for me this time round. If I go over I still won't hit 1000 most days. Having said that earlier about the wine I actually haven't even drunk half of it.

The chocolate went though!

Msqueen33 · 13/06/2017 21:27

Crikey 5 stone isn't a lot. I'm tempted to try that but don't fancy living on the loo. I see too much of it already.

Msqueen33 · 13/06/2017 21:30

What was the food like?

Good morning everyone!
I wouldn't be able to do it with reak food. Tried in the past and my portions would just get bigger as would I. The cambridge is keeping me in control at the minute! Also I know all the stuff my body needs is included.
I had a chocolate mint shake yesterday and loked it!!! May bd able to havd something other than bars after all.
Weigh in for me later - wish me luck!!
Have a good day everyone .

Msqueen33 · 14/06/2017 07:55

God I weighed this morning after an on off plan weekend but not by much and gained a lb. Sigh. Last two days have been good and now day three I've already had two litres of water as the kids woke me at 2am.

Pinkiepromisex · 14/06/2017 09:19

Sorry about all the typos - I have fat fingers!☺

HerRoyalFattyness · 14/06/2017 09:24

hello! I'm back. With a brand new reason to stay on plan.
I went for a job interview yesterday. Didn't expect to hear anything for a few days. Got offered the job there and then!
So now I'm officially a nursery nurse (well I will be once I start on Monday) and not just a volunteer nursery assistant. Grin

Msqueen33 · 14/06/2017 09:39

@HerRoyalFattyness congratulations that's fantastic.

artycakemaker · 14/06/2017 10:05

That's brilliant HerRoyal! Congratulations. :)

Keep I am trying to do it with real food. I have appetite suppressing tabs redusure which I think help. But I am trying to keep my total calorie count really low. I made up a huge pot of vegetable soup and am planning on having that all day then a small meal for a total of about 600 cals today.

FWIW, a friend of mine told me this morning that she lost 2 stone in 6 weeks by alternating days with one day being 500 cals and the next 1000 cals. But she was doing a shed load of exercise too, which I am not as I am at the moment quite tired.

HerRoyalFattyness · 14/06/2017 10:20

arty I'm doing real food too.
I find that as long as I dont eat earlier because I think I should, then I'm not actually hungry until much later, and eating only one meal a day seems to work well for me. Working full time will help me with that as I won't be eating until I'm home and I've put the little ones to bed.

Venusflytwat · 14/06/2017 11:15

Great news on the new job Royal, well done!

MS honestly I hated their packs. It was miserable. But many people get on ok with them...

I think I would fall off plan if I did all food, plus I'd be worried about nutritional deficiencies. I've settled into 2 shakes and a low carb meal aiming to keep around 800 cals a day. First shake isn't usually till lunchtime. I'm not hungry and I'm in ketosis so I'm going to stick with this rather than try and go more brutal. This feels sustainable.

I'm not exercising, I don't think I could at this level without getting hungry and faint. I walk the dogs but that's all. Once more of the weight is off and I up the cals a bit I'll do a bit more.

Venusflytwat · 14/06/2017 11:16

Ps good luck Pinkie

Pinkiepromisex · 14/06/2017 11:26

Well done royal - that's brilliant news!!
Did ok 6 and a 1/4 pounds gone that I never want to see again.

Venusflytwat · 14/06/2017 13:19

SIX AND A QUARTER POUNDS??!!
Brilliant work. Well done :D

Msqueen33 · 14/06/2017 13:20

Well done Pinkie.

I'm desperately trying to resist some tortilla crisps and marshmallows but trying to hold off.

Pinkiepromisex · 14/06/2017 14:18

Thanks Venus and Mrsq. Got all my products for the week ahead.
Would have been disappointed if it had been less than 6 so that keeps me going.I feel most of the weight went in the first few days so hopefully Iam due another drop soon.
Venus step away from the tortilla chips!

Msqueen33 · 14/06/2017 15:39

Am visualising the newer slimmer me and how I'll feel when we go abroad in August as a frumpy fat lump. I may even stick up the awful pictures of me on the kitchen cupboards.

Pinkiepromisex · 14/06/2017 15:59

I'm hoping to feel better on my hols too. I have 6 more weigh ins and would like at least another 15 pounds.not sure if this is achievable as I know things will slow down and life goes on getting in the way. We have friends coming to stay the weekend after next and that fills me with dread. Don't want to be a diet bore don't really want to even tell anyone if I can help it!

Venusflytwat · 14/06/2017 22:32

It wasn't me with the tortilla chips, honest! Smile

Two shakes and a chicken salad here today. Oh and two Chewits! Dont ask...

I swam gently for half an hour today after saying I wasn't exercising, I forgot I swim once a week! Didn't push it and did half my usual distance in the time but felt absolutely fine. My swimming costume fitted differently :)

I am still having milk in tea and coffee; about 3/4 cups a day. At the moment I'm not bothering to count those calories, if I start stalking then I will.
