Anyone doing one at the moment?

I've started exante this morning. Last year I lost 3 stone with Cambridge but Exante is loads cheaper. No meeting though so I need moral support if any one can give it!

Starting weight 249.2lb. Awful I know so no need to tell me.

Mine haven't stopped eating either. Having to be disciplined...they can eat Celebrations, they don't have a butt with it's own zipcode! 😃

festivedinosaur · 02/01/2018 18:29

I don't start mine until 17th, but it's so encouraging to see the results small or big from all on this thread.

Gives me hope that I can do it.

I've been instructed to start increasing my intake of water and reducing person sizes.

Christmas and lack of sleep thanks to baby doesn't make that easy.

Today I've had

1.5 wheatabix with semi skimmed milk

Scrambled eggs on sourdough

Medium portion of chilli

Could do better

Hi all - rejoining Cambridge on weds eve as I've done it in past with the most success - seeing a consultant helps with my motivation, knowing someone is supporting you. I lost 3.5st pre DS who's now 3, lost the odd 1/2 to a stone since with slim and save which has gone back on and then some so now have 4st to get back to BMI of 25.

I have some slim and save products left so started on those today - headache is a bugger at the mo as haven't drunk enough water compared to black coffee I've had to keep hunger at bay.

Got two overnight team stops with work this month which will be hard (I'm fine when km stopping away by myself), might have to opt for a chicken salad to at least eat with colleagues otherwise it'll be odd sitting there not eating.

I tend to go for a walk at lunch when I'm in the office which saves the fuss over what you're eating, as most people are busy at their desks when I have my soup or bar.

19st 2.8
Oops. Day one for me.and not before time too. I started at over 21 stones last summer, and had hit the 17’s, but Christmas, and a major holiday took its toll. My first goal may be small, but it is to get into the 18s pretty quick.
I was in the local swimming pool at 6am and swum half a mile, and then came back and had a shake. Going to drink lots of water at work today.
Stick with it, those of you have already started. It only takes 14 days to form a new habit. Have a good day!

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 03/01/2018 08:02

Day one- perfect!

Want a giggle?

I've just spent the last ten minutes looking up the specs of my phone, to see how heavy it is!

I can't see the numbers on the scales, so I have to put my phone on camera mode, and zoom right in!

Sneaky weigh-in...no damage done after Monday! still a heffer though

Keep strong today!

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 03/01/2018 08:03

Buxton you're STILL lighter than when you started out!

Buxtonstill · 03/01/2018 08:09

And how heavy is a phone? I dread to think how many phones I weighSmile

Kittensgalore · 03/01/2018 08:31

That is very funny Allroads. I have ordered new scales. I can't face weighing myself though so maybe I will be in luck and not be able to read the digits anyway, my eyesight is terrible, here's hoping!

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 03/01/2018 09:54

Mine weighs 150g! 😃

FruitCider · 03/01/2018 11:08

Day 7, not had first pack yet. Feeling annoyed because I’ve agreed to go out for a meal for my friends birthday on Saturday which means coming off plan (I’m vegetarian and it’s an Italian restaurant). I’m doing so well and dreading the fall out from it!

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 03/01/2018 11:54

Do you have a copy of the menu? Maybe we can help you pick things whixh won't sabotage too much?

Katkincake · 03/01/2018 12:21

Day two for me, had terrible headaches yesterday but I'm upping the water today which is helping.

See my CWP consultant tonight to get official start weight and get some new products rather than using up slim & save.

FruitCider - can you order a salad? Most people will understand that people are dieting in the new year.

I've instructed my team member who's booking our meal out to find a healthy place so hopefully be able to eat something low carb with them all.

Buxtonstill · 03/01/2018 12:52

Maybe a salad in the restaurant, Fruitcider? Drink lots of water before you go so you are not hungry. Maybe Bruchetta, and just eat the tomato topping?

Buxtonstill · 03/01/2018 12:54

I weigh 1013 phones! Should probably weigh about 500 :-)

FruitCider · 03/01/2018 13:03

I can’t find the menu online, but I used to eat there quite regularly and the vegetarian options are basically pizza, pasta, vegetarian lasagne. I don’t like tomato’s so bruschetta is out the window. I’m not sure if they even do salads but that’s not a bad idea if they do x

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 03/01/2018 13:46

We need to compile a list of "excuses for not eating much"...

*Still hungover from Christmas

  • Veganary

*"I'm eliminating almost everything because something's not aggreeing with me atm, and I'm trying to figure out what it is" (this sounds far fetched, but it actually happened to me! Turns out I'm intolerant to dairy, eggs and soya!)

*"I've been binging on the Christmas cheese all day"

???

Buxtonstill · 03/01/2018 15:08

I had an upset tummy, and taking it easy for a couple of days,

Excuse for not drinking: I'm on painkillers for toothache/period pain and they don't mix with alcohol very well...

Wishingandwaiting · 03/01/2018 16:00

We need to compile a list of "excuses for not eating much"...

Why?

I’m slim, very slim. I eat though. Just very healthily. I don’t explain myself if choose extra veg rather than chip in a restaurant. Or decline offer for crisps/biscuits in favour of fruit.

If you want to keep the weight off you should make clear to yourself and others that this isn’t a fly by night kind of thing. You’re approaching food differently and that means different choices. For the rest of your life.

FruitCider · 03/01/2018 16:03

If you want to keep the weight off you should make clear to yourself and others that this isn’t a fly by night kind of thing. You’re approaching food differently and that means different choices. For the rest of your life.

Surely you are not advising people on Cambridge, exante, lighter life et al to remain on 600 calories a day for the rest of their lives?

Hmm
Buxtonstill · 03/01/2018 16:21

The excuses for not eating much, are ones to churn out to other people, who feel the need to lecture others on dieting, and give unwanted advice. You will encounter them whatever diet you follow.

Wishingandwaiting · 03/01/2018 17:40

Of course not. I think the entire thing is crap, but that’s not for this thread!

No but surely you don’t want to go back to where you are today. So you do want to hbabeyojr approach to food. So best be upfront.

Wishingandwaiting · 03/01/2018 17:41

Ah buxton, fair enough. I imagine that would get tiresome (although when comes to this kind of diet, I’m with them!)

Buxtonstill · 03/01/2018 17:55

Wishingandwaiting. You obviously don't agree with this way of dieting. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but why don't you just hide the thread instead of keep coming on here making snippy comments? What are you hoping to achieve. The contributors on the thread are coming on here for a bit of support, not to ask others what they think of it. Why don't you start another thread to discuss VLCD if you want to chat about it? Please?

FruitCider · 03/01/2018 19:07

Found out dinner might be cancelled on Saturday! Kind of hoping it is....

Kittensgalore · 03/01/2018 19:19

Great, hope it is cancelled Fruit, I can't imagine having to deal with a meal out in the first few days/weeks.

And Wishingandwaiting, great too for you that you are so slim, in case you hadn't noticed the rest of us here are not so maybe just jog on to another thread where your sanctimonious advice will be better received.
