Anyone doing one at the moment?

I've started exante this morning. Last year I lost 3 stone with Cambridge but Exante is loads cheaper. No meeting though so I need moral support if any one can give it!

Starting weight 249.2lb. Awful I know so no need to tell me.

Good morning. Ended yesterday on 800.
Will try and keep below that for the test of the week. I have a daughter and I am trying not to pass my weight hangups and lack of food cotrol on to her but it's difficult when I am not eating family meals. Just wondering what other people tell children. She is nearly 13.

@UpInScots what VLCD are you doing?

user1468234673 · 19/07/2017 17:01

@bunniesncats are you still going Lighterlife? I've recently started and so far am loving it :)

Buxtonstill · 19/07/2017 17:14

Hi everyone! Hope you are doing ok. I fell off the wagon, and did so big style. But I am back in the driving seat and will weigh on Friday to see how much damage I have done. Meantime, I am being very strict. BTW, if any of you shop with Ocado, try the Terryaki chicken kebabs. 250 calories for 4, and they are lovely with salad for your 'meal'

Pinkiepromisex · 19/07/2017 22:11

Hiya Buxton, nice to see you back! Doesn't matter if you fall off as long as you get back on. Chicken kebabs sound lovely. Shakshuka for tea here - was delicious.

FruitCider · 20/07/2017 21:55

Hi everyone! Today was day 24 on exante as man plan and I've discovered slim slip! Certainly helps me in the long afternoons.

Only 6.8lb down after 24 days though Blush

Buxtonstill · 21/07/2017 11:51

18 st 12 :-(
Totally deserved.
I know the minute you stop a VLCD you will gain 5-6 lbs, from the normal volume of food you will have inside you. Stupid behaviour, and I am kicking myself, but just got to dust myself offand carry on. had my shake this morning - hope everybody has a positive day!

Pinkiepromisex · 22/07/2017 08:09

Keep going everyone!! I had a major dlip up yesterday when a huge bean chilli chimichanga landed in my mouth. Did enjoy it with sweet potato friesBlush. It was all I had all day but probably about 1800 calories! Back to it today.
Hope you h
ad a good day back on the shakes yesterday Buxton.
Fruit keep going thats half a stone less of you!
Hope you all have a good weekend!

Buxtonstill · 22/07/2017 11:27

Back to 18:8 so on the right track. Had 2 shakes, chicken and salad for supper last night. Had to go into marks this morning and put some crudites and humous in my basket to take to work; then I just left my basket on the side! Went to work and had a shake!

Have a fab day everyone. Pinkie, Good luck today you can get back in the zone. Keep at it Fruit!

Pinkiepromisex · 22/07/2017 11:47

Well done for abandoning the basket Buxton. All the little victories add up!
Might try that one....fill basket with what I would normally have then abandon and feel virtuous eating a slim fast bar! Repeat offenders probably wouldn't be welcome in m&s food halls though!Grin

Buxtonstill · 23/07/2017 11:38

18 st 8 again. It's ridiculous how you can put on 8 pounds in 5 days yet it takes 3 weeks to put it back on. Had a couple of handfuls of peanuts last night. Got drenched in the rain and thought that qualified for a treat, utter rot! Counted the calories though, and don't think I went over 1200 Cals. Stupidly, each handful of peanuts has more calories than a shake...

TeslasDeathRay · 23/07/2017 12:35

Hi all! Mind if I join? Smile
I'm on the Exante VLCD at the moment. Been on for a week so far. It's hard going as I'm really missing actually eating (all the naughty stuff that put on weight in the first place). But I'm 10.5lb down. Got a few stone to lose.

Buxtonstill · 23/07/2017 14:32

Hi Teslas! That's a fab loss for a first week! It certainly helps me, coming on to this thread and logging my weight, and seeing how others are doing. Another tip : I bought some sugar free ice poles from Sainsbury (with Frozen and Star Wars on the box) there are only 4 calories each and take a few minutes to eat and satisfy a sweet craving for me.

Pinkiepromisex · 23/07/2017 17:00

Welcome Teslas, well done on your first week.
Buxton those ice lollies sound fab. Will look out for them.
I need to stock up on some bars for the next week then I will be on hols for 2 weeks hopefully I will not go toomad and I hope to get back to the counting when I get back.

TeslasDeathRay · 23/07/2017 19:03

Thank you!

Saying that, I fell off spectacularly today though. Family wanted to go to McDonald's and I hadn't had any shakes yet. Ended up scoffing about 1500 calories. Blush Can barely move now, but was almost worth it. Can't wait to see how much that puts on. Hmm Sigh. Hopefully it won't be too bad.
Been struggling to drink 3 shakes some days seeing as I'm not too fond of them, so only been having two.

Pinkiepromisex · 23/07/2017 20:13

I really disliked the shakes too. In fact I really disliked all the products and ended up just on the bars which I enjoy!

TeslasDeathRay · 23/07/2017 22:50

Haven't tried the exante bars; thought I would get sick of sweet stuff all the time. Which ones do you have?

I'll give the shakes a bit longer (mainly because I've got loads of the bloody things!), but I'll probably end up going on an 800-1000 cal "regular" diet again. It takes a bit longer, but I lost over 2 stone last time.

PearlyPinkNails · 23/07/2017 23:50

Hello, I'm starting tomorrow with hopefully 800 cals a day. I want to lose 2 1/2 stone.

Pinkiepromisex · 24/07/2017 05:44

I used to have the cambridge bars but now have slimfast or the asda ones which are much cheaper.
Wecome Pearly hope you have a good first day. The first 3 are rhe worst you will ne fine after that!

Buxtonstill · 24/07/2017 13:14

I have the optifast shakes. They are not unpleasant. Just like flavoured milk. The mistake I keep making is just skipping one as I'm not hungry, and then eating something off plan. So I am forcing myself to drink them, hungry or not. 18 st 7 this morning so going in the right direction. another 3 to go before I get my lowest I recorded on this thread (18:4) I just want to get the other side of 18. Keep going everybody. Does anyone else want to put the weigh in results on here? Understand if you are too shy. It helps me to do so

Buxtonstill · 24/07/2017 13:15

Thank goodness 21 stones seems a long way away now :-)

sunshineunicorn · 24/07/2017 13:38

Starting today! Would like to loose 2stone before the end of the summer holidays but I know that is quite tough to achieve. Starting exante on total source. Have done it before with great results but then had dc4 and piled it all (plus some) back on during pregnancy. He's 18months old now so i really need to shift this baby weight

sunshineunicorn · 24/07/2017 14:25

I'm happy to post my weigh ins.
I'm 5'5"
SW - 12st 5.2lbs (was 14st 18months ago)
First GW - 10st7lb (healthy bmi range and pre-preg weight)
Final GW - 9st

Buxtonstill · 25/07/2017 08:03

18 4 and 3/4. Getting there! Can't wait to see the '17's. I go on holiday in 100 days and would like to lose 2 stones by then. I think in 3 months that may be achievable....

Pinkiepromisex · 25/07/2017 16:22
