Anyone looking to lose 100lbs in 2017 - Part 2

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 04/05/2017 17:47

Hello, welcome to the second instalment of the ‘Anyone looking to lose 100lbs plus in 2017’ thread Smile The first thread is here, if you want to read it: Part 1

We’re a very friendly, supportive group, and we’re all starting to see some real changes in ourselves and our attitudes to food (at least, mine are changing!) Collectively we’ve lost 318 lbs since the start of the first thread, which is pretty amazing Grin

We tend to weigh in on Fridays or Saturdays, but feel free to join in at any time.

I will make one caveat, which I think is quite important for the spirit of the thread - we’re all here because we have a LOT of weight to lose. If you’re looking to lose the last half stone, or even two or three stone, this may not be the thread for you. Good luck with the weight loss, but you may find more support with in threads with people who have similar goals.

And with that little speech done, I’ll shut up now Grin

Well done to you all and Notanurse I'm so pleased for you. That will make a difference when you get to see the Consultant and I'm glad it has settled down a bit.

1000lbs would be truly amazing !

No WI for me as on holiday still. Hopefully I've been eating at maintenance. I'm a bit sick of eating out now and looking forward to some home cooking, surprised to be saying that . Lazy morning but gearing up for run number 3 of the week and proud I've managed to keep doing that whilst away,

Babieseverywhere · 05/08/2017 12:58

Notanurse What about hiring an dress for your event. Then you get a well fitted dress at the fraction of the cost of buying one.

ChestyNut · 06/08/2017 10:22

After losing nothing over last two weeks (one week birthday, one week period) my scales dropped 4.4 lbs today! Not sure how long or permanent the drop is...but interesting.

Good luck to Notanurse at your interview tomorrow.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 06/08/2017 20:31

Oooh, a non-scales weight loss win. I just Skyped the DC (they are away with H) and I looked all cheekbone-y in my little Skype window. Grin

Good luck tomorrow Notanurse.

MirabelleTree · 06/08/2017 21:06

Good luck tomorrow Notanurse

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 06/08/2017 21:20

Good luck tomorrow Notanurse!

Congrats on the NSV BlackAmericano !

I'm trying on dresses for the wedding I'm going to, luckily at home - I got stuck in one Blush - but I have two which are passable. One would need VERY big spanx, but it's a 1950s pencil dress and feels very glam...maybe a bit too glam for church Grin

BlackAmericano great NSV!
Notanurse the best of luck today
Babies maybe you had a whoosh? Grin
noTractors sorry had to laugh, I do get stuck in dresses sometimes, always in the shops.... luckily never had to ask anyone to help me get out Grin Grin Grin
There was quite a lot of chat going on about dress sizes but does anyone have issues with their shoes?!?!? Looks like mine have shrunk by half size!!!! Which makes shoeshopping very interesting...

BreakingSad · 07/08/2017 15:15

Hope it has gone well for you today Notanurse

I'm back from holiday and was not sure whether to weigh in or not, but I did on Saturday and looks like I've enjoyed myself a bit too much as I'm 4lbs up Blush we did a nice thoughGrin

Mirabelle im impressed with the running on holiday, well done for keeping it up.

BreakingSad · 07/08/2017 18:01

Should read 'we did have a nice time though '

Cultofpersonality · 07/08/2017 19:59

Right-o

I have been seriously slacking recently, and the weight has crept back on.
It's time to knuckle down, refocus and get back to it!
Last time I weighed myself, I put on 6lbs. This weekend has been full of bad food and alcohol so I dread to think what the scales will say tomorrow.
I did slim fast shakes previously, combined with snacking on veg, and walking home from work so that's my plan starting tomorrow and then taking it from there.

Babieseverywhere · 07/08/2017 22:35

What is a 'whoosh' ?

MirabelleTree · 08/08/2017 07:10

A wish us sphere the scales suddenly show a loss of a few pounds overnight.

Well done for drawing a line under it Cuktofpersonality . Sounds like a plan, I would make sure you build in some treats though as I think feelings of deprivation long term can lead to sod it moments.

Hope you had a good time BreakingSad. Some of that might well be temporary water gain and vanish quickly. I was 2lbs up when I weighed on Sunday but it has vanished and I'm 0.25lb less this morning than before holiday so really pleased that eating at maintenance worked.

Cultofpersonality · 08/08/2017 10:53

I've just weighed myself.
Surprisingly no gain from the last time I did.
Still not great reading but I'm very determined to start losing again.

Start: 256
To go: 88
Target: 168

This weeks mini goal- id like to lose the 4lbs to take me to 18st exactly.
I'll weigh myself on a Tuesday, so it's exactly a week between weighing.
I think the goal I set myself of being down to 15st by the end of the year is still do-able too

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 08/08/2017 15:56

Good luck Cultofpersonality going with what you know will work is a good idea.

That dress sounds great NoTractors, is it possible to be too glam at a wedding? So long as it's not white with a layer of lace then it'll be perfect. Wink I have an undergarment that is like a Spanx-style slip. You step into it like a swimsuit, but it doesn't have a crotch, the hem sits at the top of the thighs. I didn't get it from M&S, but it's similar to this one that they do. The advantage is that you can easily pull it up to wee, there's no wrestling yourself out of it like Spanx.

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 08/08/2017 19:13

Oooh, that link looks great, might have to invest. Thanks BlackAmericano

This is the dress in question: Dress linky It's so not my usual style, but it feels really good wearing it Grin

Hope you're all having a good week Grin
