Anyone looking to lose 100lbs in 2017 - Part 2

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 04/05/2017 17:47

Hello, welcome to the second instalment of the ‘Anyone looking to lose 100lbs plus in 2017’ thread Smile The first thread is here, if you want to read it: Part 1

We’re a very friendly, supportive group, and we’re all starting to see some real changes in ourselves and our attitudes to food (at least, mine are changing!) Collectively we’ve lost 318 lbs since the start of the first thread, which is pretty amazing Grin

We tend to weigh in on Fridays or Saturdays, but feel free to join in at any time.

I will make one caveat, which I think is quite important for the spirit of the thread - we’re all here because we have a LOT of weight to lose. If you’re looking to lose the last half stone, or even two or three stone, this may not be the thread for you. Good luck with the weight loss, but you may find more support with in threads with people who have similar goals.

And with that little speech done, I’ll shut up now Grin

1.5lb off this week (32) . Total loss to date 64.75lbs, 35.25lb to lose.

Alfieisnoisy it has taken me 3 weeks to lose 1.75lbs after starting C25K after my op. Gained the first week, lost what I put on the next and then finally lost this week taking me lower. Combine the exercise with the heat this week and a pound and I think that explains your gain. Hang in there.

swlondonnanny · 24/06/2017 07:47

Morning ladies,
Weigh in day today
Current weight is 113.9 kg
Loss last week (week 15) -2.1kg
Hot weather always helps, somehow. Drank at least 4 l water every day and did my steps.
0.5kg to go to get BMI under 35

Thank you Mirabelle I suspect you are right

I attend a SW group but don't like the plan so tend to focus on healthy eating. My weight loss so far has been fabulous and am 2 stone 9.5lbs down. Am desperate to reach 3 stones though.

Then I want to lose another 3 stones ideally. Am focusing on calorie deficit via exercise

Did my second Couch to 5k run this morning and it was definitely easier and I was quicker too.. .had to extend my route.Smile

BreakingSad · 24/06/2017 15:02

Well done ladies and Alfieisnoisy the scales will catch up.
We're coming up to half way through the year (and five weeks until I'm away for the week), mini goal for me to get to 50 lbs loss before I go away.

To lose 113
Lost this week 1
Lost to date 42

Babieseverywhere · 25/06/2017 09:12

WEEK ONE
To lose: 120 lbs
Loss via My Fitness Pal 3.7 Ibs
Loss via Trend weight 1.7 lbs
Lost to date: 1.7 lbs

MirabelleTree · 25/06/2017 09:15

Well done everyone, those pounds start to add up nicely after a bit.

ChestyNut · 25/06/2017 09:31

1lb and a bit off this week.
27lbs total
73lbs to go

1lb to go for 2stone Smile
I can't tell the difference in the mirror but my uniform has gone from tight to sack like.

Is anyone rewarding theirselves at each stone mark? I've been told I should (non food of course)
I think the huge amount of money I've spent on holiday dresses may have to be my 2stone reward early Grin

Breaking where are you going on holiday? 50 lbs would be amazing.

Well done on the losses everyone!

Babieseverywhere · 25/06/2017 18:39

It is so inspiring to see your total losses. I really hope to be posting similar figures in 6 months or so :)

MirabelleTree · 25/06/2017 18:57

Well done Chesty I was focused on losing for op until recently so hadn't been rewarding myself but have bought some new clothes recently. Hoping to get to 5 stone for holiday so will reward myself with eating at maintenance for a week for that. I can now see the light SS but it took a long time.

Babieseverywhere 6 months takes us to Christmas, how scary is that!

DH came jogging with me today, I paused the app and it didn't restart. We realised after a bit what had happened but kept going. I have jogged 3k today. Me, who last tried running in 1986 before this !

I know that feeling Notanurse , I've been doing a long walk every Saturday, since the start of the year and even now see a hill and think oh no, but when I get to the top realise I'm nowhere near as out of breath and I'm quite surprised. Unfortunately I do live in a hilly area, so can never get away from themGrin

Mirabelle well done on the running, when I've lost a bit more id like to do the C25K

Chesty nearly at 2 st well done.
Nowhere exotic, but it's a lovely seaside town in Yorkshire.

I've been on my bike with my Ds today and we clocked up 15km, it's so much harder than my stationary bike.

Rumtopf · 26/06/2017 07:32

Well done on the losses Mirabelle and Chesty!

I've lost a pound, which given the sheer amount of gin and prosecco consumed over the weekend is a miracle. So;
Weight - 17st 7lb
Lost this week - 1lb
Total - 13lb

I've got nearly 5 weeks til we go on holiday so I'm going to change my weighing day to a Friday (we go on the Friday) and my mini target is to be firmly in the 16's before we go. I bought the nicest bikini in Sainsburys the others day in the sale, it's a Gok Wan one so holds my tummy in and gives me the best cleavage. I care not about the lumpy thighs or tummy roll!

Alfieisnoisy · 26/06/2017 08:00

I am out with a beginners running group again today. And actually looking forward to it.

I feel so much healthier with the weight loss but the exercise on top is really helping me too.

Well done, losers. KOKO the rest of us.

I lost 3lbs. I don't understand how, I didn't eat as well as last week, when I gained. I need to weigh less often because it makes no sense.

Going to KOKO

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 26/06/2017 18:52

Hi all, sorry I've been a bit AWOL - things a bit overwhelming here. Still reading everything, will pop back on in a few days - KOKO Smile

Oh you're all so kind, thank you - it will all work out for the best, I'm sure. What will be will be and all that! Schools break up on Friday for the summer, so that not having to deal with uniforms and homework will help too Smile

FlowersNoTractors I hope you're as ok as you can be.

I managed a 500 calorie fast day yesterday which was OK. People are really noticing my loss now, loads of comments.

Rumtopf · 28/06/2017 06:36

Well done on the fast day Mirabelle, how do you feel about the comments?

I had an atrocious evening with dd and immediately craved something sweet. Dh came home unexpectedly as he was meant to be working away and brought me home some chocolate cake at my request. However, when it was there sitting on the counter I didn't want it and didn't have a bite! She's 14, nearly 15 and is really trying my patience, no wonder I'm going so grey!

MirabelleTree · 28/06/2017 07:14

I feel ok on the comments but try to steer off actual amounts and steer towards health. Explained to one friend that I'm still obese and she seemed to be incredulous, I don't think it was just her being nice. I think some people genuinely don't get weights. My Dad estimated DH as 12 stone which is his goal weight and he was 14 stone at the time. My Dad and partner are both tiny so I think it's just totally outside their field of experience.

Huge sympathies on your DD Rumtopf. My DD is 18 and away for the summer so calm has descended. I remember well the days if her being 14 and 15, it was mentally exhausting. A huge pat on the back for your cake willpower, very impressive !
