Ha ha please I am a bit of a NoS evangelistGrin Whenever I see someone posting about struggles with food I can't help myself but tell them about NoS! Its been such a game changer for me I guess I just want to spread the word.
Beela I hope you feel better soon.
Bestbees recognising your triggers is so helpful, that way you are better equipped to deal with them. Sounds like you did a pretty good job of avoiding total meltdown.
I went out for early dinner with a couple of friends and our kids. I did share a starter but think I successfully compensated by leaving some of my main. A bit of guesswork but was so nice to not cook for once!
Ariston good post! I hope you are feeling better today.

Thanks all and sorry for whinging!

Today I have eaten, in total: a cereal bar, 3 chocolate biscuits, and a satsuma. Might try a bit of real food for tea.

Hopefully back on track tomorrow.

Posie sounds like you negotiated your meal out well :-)

Hi all just a quick fly by from me to say hiya.
Super manically busy at the mo -11 hours between breakfast and lunch so will probably not be here much for a couple of weeks.
Happy to say I think No S principles will get me through this hectic time.

Hello from me.

I've just weighed in and lost a lb this week, so 12lbs in eight weeks in total. I'm please this week as I work for an airline and have been across the Atlantic and back twice this week, so lots of meals on the plane and not able to cook for myself this week.

Hi everyone, I am still plodding along after a very, very full of S weekend! What I learned last week is that when I'm on my own, e.g day to day with me, dh and children, I find it really easy to stick to NoS. My problem is other people!! Guests, arrangements to meet up, weekend away etc. I feel obligated to get involved Blush! Like other people said upthread, I don't like being the one 'on a diet'.

Anyway, Monday I stuck rigidly to NoS. Tuesday I had guests all day but only had one extra snack and a piece of cake. Yesterday I did really well and even stuck to a slim a soup for lunch.

On Monday morning I weighed in at 10st 13lbs. I'm going on holiday on Monday 22nd May which is 10 weeks away. Would love to be 10lbs lighter.

Ariston have a look on this breastfeeding network factsheets website, if you know the name of the laxative and sedative you would need to take. It has an amazingly comprehensive list and states whether or not various drugs are safe to take whilst breastfeeding.

Sadly most GPs/healthcare professionals just respond with a blanket "no not suitable" without actually checking.

It was recommended to me by my NHS breastfeeding counsellor and has been extremely useful. Hope all goes well Smile

Good morning all. Back from my few days away and am ready to do this! Porridge with fruit for breakfast I think. This time I need to choose proper meals more, rather than having a toastie and then being hungry too early. I really need to lose a fair few pounds. I'm suffering terribly with coccyx pain, and I know one of the first things they'll comment on is my weight, which is stupidly why I've been resisting going to the doctors. I'm sure weightless will help though.

Morning. Still struggling with the 5pm munchies so will try to add more protien at lunch to tide me through.

Waitress hurrah for twins! Mine are three and a half now and much easier than when they were babies. I must admit i couldnt wait to get back to work for a break!!

honeyroar · 16/03/2017 11:56

The Waitress I'm going on a girl's weekend on the 12th May and would love to get a further 10lbs off by then too.

Do you not do any snacks? I'm still having snacks if I'm hungry, but mainly fruit. I'm finding full fat Greek yogurt with pomegranate seeds and blueberries works best, it's really filling and tasty.

As for other people, yes they make it harder! If we go out I tend to just have a scoop of ice cream for dessert. People seem happy if you're not having nothing!

Miniasovich I've loads to lose too.

Can I join please? I'm a bit of a serial dieter and have just fallen off the 5:2 wagon Blush. I'm getting gradually fatter and am a little panicked Confused.

I am 12 and a half stone, or thereabouts. I would like to lose two stone overall, but really just want to get back to a healthy bmi, which is anything under 11st 10lbs for me.

I'm usually quite good about getting enough exercise (I think), but just eat too much Blush.

twofloorsup · 16/03/2017 14:43

Welcome Rockaby I reckon you must be about the same height and weight as me going by your BMI.

I'm still using up what's left in before I move house. Having some odd combinations but it's certainly teaching me what's filling and what's not. Shredded wheat without the nuts is definitely not !

beela · 16/03/2017 15:58

Hello Rockabye Smile

Honeyroar - no snacks, no seconds, no sweets. Have a look at the no s website, it will give you all the details.

I'm on another sick day, and am surviving on plain biscuits and water, as I can't manage much more right now. If I don't see a difference next time I step on the scales I will be most disappointed!

Rockaby · 16/03/2017 16:34

twofloors it's nice to have a bmi buddy Grin! I'm 5'8". Is that the same as you?

Hi beela! Sorry you're poorly. Tummy bugs are horrible. Hope you get well soon.

Thanks Beela, I will have a look, although it doesn't sound like what I've been doing after all, and I'm loathe to change when I'm not hungry and losing weight every week. I hope you feel better soon.

Hi everyone lots of posts! Hope you're all having a good week.
Beela sorry you're still poorly Flowers
Welcome rockaby hope you find NoS suits you, any questions just ask! As beela says there's lots of info on the NoS website.
Bestbees more protein sounds like a good idea at lunchtime. Funnily enough I find a yoghurt helps to fill me up at lunchtime, I didn't have any in for a couple of days and really missed them!
Two I hope the odd food combos aren't too bad, bet you can't wait to move and start getting back to normal!
Mimiasovitch sorry to hear that you're in pain. I hope this plan helps you and you can feel more comfortable soon. Sounds like you're doing well so far.

Hi everyone,

Honey roar, that loss sounds fabulous, it would be wonderful if I can acheive something similar. I'm coming up to my first 'S' day tomorrow - It's my 10th wedding anniversary, so I am pretty sure that counts - given its my first week at this I am going to try and have a restrained treat not dive headlong into the nearest bucket of junk food and enjoy a glass of wine or two or three or four Grin I know you are supposed to be able to have a drink or two on No-S days, but I am trying to get into good habits and I am aiming not to drink during the week anyway. Wish me luck with the S days, I'm a bit scared of the freedom Blush... does that make sense?

twofloorsup · 16/03/2017 22:41

Beela hope you're feeling better soon.
Rockaby I'm only 5'6" but weigh the same as you so I'm a bit rounder Smile
Posie today it was mackerel and tuna pasta bake with mixed veg and blue cheese. I'm thinking it can only get better from here Grin

Report
twofloorsup · 16/03/2017 22:42

Please I think that's part of the journey , feeling nervous of the freedom. I'm pretty much No S even at weekends as I don't trust myself.
