Know that feeling ! Grin

Right. The discussion earlier in the week about planning your treats got me thinking, and I have invented a new rule: no standing.

I still need to get put of the habit of popping bits of food in my mouth when I am cooking or dishing up. And on s-days I revert back to my old grazing habits (biscuit here, mini egg there, without really thinking about it). From now on, if I want a biscuit (or whatever) at the weekend I will put it on a plate and sit down and eat it mindfully!

AristonAndOn · 11/05/2017 03:51

Great idea Beela! Sadly when I lose control, it's when standing and eating in the kitchen. I'm not savouring my food, I'm stuffing it in guiltily. Even when I'm doing fine though, it's very tempting to snack whilst preparing food. I will put new rule in practice straight away. It's very clever idea Beela, especially as it starts with S!

twofloorsup · 11/05/2017 06:11

Fab idea Beela and one that would benefit me too. I'm often so hungry by the time I get to eat that I've eaten a quarter of my meal before I've sat down. Will try to add this in thanks Smile

beela · 11/05/2017 06:55

Ariston and two I do both of those. I think that in the past I've fallen into the trap of thinking that if nobody sees me eat something then it didn't count, so quickly gobbling something in the kitchen when nobody is looking Hmm

So anyway, I've started! I didn't eat any of my breakfast whilst I was waiting for the kettle to boil for my tea!!

twofloorsup · 11/05/2017 07:47

I'm on this. Love it Grin

AristonAndOn · 11/05/2017 07:51

My raisins were just calling to me as I put them on my breakfast, but I resisted. 😆

twofloorsup · 11/05/2017 08:23

Love a new mission Grin

beela · 11/05/2017 08:56

Bring it on! We can totally do this.

twofloorsup · 11/05/2017 14:29

Omg I've just prepared my lunch and had to stop myself

  1. Licking the yogurt foil lid
  2. Licking the spoon after I stirred in the coconut
  3. Biting into my toast before I sat down.

No wonder I have issues Grin

PosiePootlePerkins · 12/05/2017 13:10

I love the NoStanding rule! I am not too bad now although it was definitely one of my old bad habits. My worst habit these days is eating too quicklyBlush maybe I need another NoS - no scoffing!Grin

Hello everyone. I'm back after rather an unpleasant experience, but feeling much better now. Got to wait for a few results now.
Thanks for well wishes. 😊

Giddyaunt18 · 13/05/2017 18:49

Hi all, I've been inadvertently following this diet without realising for the last 3 weeks and have lost 5lbs from 10st 2 to 9st 11lb. I eat healthily anyway and am not a big sugar fan but can be a picker and am liable to go back for seconds which isn't good even if it is a veggie curry with brown rice!

twofloorsup · 13/05/2017 19:30

Glad you're feeling better Ariston.
Welcome Giddyaunt.

AristonAndOn · 13/05/2017 21:05

Welcome Giddyaunt. What a great result for you.

Giddyaunt18 · 14/05/2017 09:03

Thanks all. This is more of a way of eating than a diet and it makes complete sense.

beela · 14/05/2017 10:39

Hi ariston, glad to hear it went ok. Hope the results are what you need to hear.

Giddyaunt yes totally. I've been doing this since mid January and it feels silly to call it a diet now. It's just how I eat (mostly Blush )

bowbear · 15/05/2017 14:56

Great idea, Beela, I so need to apply the no standing rule!! I'm sure I'd be horrified if I put all the things on a plate that I'm that I'm tempted to pick at...it would be a whole meal!

Two, your scenario made me laugh, I could really relate to that :)
Well done on your loss Giddy, I can't wait to see either of those numbers on my scales :)

Have a great week everyone.

twofloorsup · 15/05/2017 17:05

Bowbear it's been quite an eye opener these last few days !
