Thanks Two and Posie. I definately need to think of a mod. At mealtimes only is an idea. We were going out for a meal yesterday, my sweet was going to be after the meal but we didn't in the end. I think I'd of been happier that way. Ended up going home and gorging silly me. Never mind, I'll mark and and move on and yes today is Monday so start afresh!
Thank for support 💐

twofloorsup · 08/05/2017 12:39

I started off with that mod and usually found when it came to it I wasn't prepared to sacrifice proper food for treats and I think that's how I've ended up losing my sweet tooth.
Going out for afternoon tea with work today should be interesting to see how I end up eating there.
Only had one S day in April so not too worried if I end up having a cheeky one today Smile

pitterpatterrain · 08/05/2017 13:05

Beela - thanks for the prod on exercise, I really need to charge my Fitbit and go swimming again. My excuse is my swimming cossie is too small but I need to bite the bullet and get another

Two - thanks for the inspiration

Ariston - I find sweet stuff really hard too, are a whole bar of white chocolate yesterday stood up in the kitchen. Also need to figure out how to give myself permission on s days to eat and it is ok

pitterpatterrain · 08/05/2017 13:27

Posie - yes I am not a big fan of exercise but need to do something...

PosiePootlePerkins · 08/05/2017 16:48

Good luck Ariston I'm sure you'll figure out a way to make it work. Two I hope the afternoon tea went well, tricky when we have to face a change in routine! Pitter its hard isn't it, I was thinking how much I enjoy walking which we often do at the weekends, I just find it hard to make myself go out on my own in the limited time available.

Just weighed in and am another kilo down in the last 2 weeks. Not too bad considering dd's birthday was included in that, and featured lots of cake GrinCake

I am about 1lb away from having lost 10% of my starting weight, so there's a bit of motivation for me.

I need to get back to my meal planning I think.

twofloorsup · 08/05/2017 18:48

Well done Beela Smile
Afternoon tea was delightful. I ate 6 little sandwiches and two scones with jam and cream. Probably double what I needed.
I noticed that with a teeny tiny plate it was harder to track how much I ate.
So the no seconds rule is very valid !
Calling it an S day as I went well over what I needed to fill me up.
So worth it though Grin

bowbear · 08/05/2017 18:51

Finally made it back after a hectic couple of weeks! I hope you're all well, great to hear that the losses are continuing :)

I know what you mean Pitter, I struggle to let myself have S days for fear of not reigning it in again the next day. I guess that's the challenge of changing my eating habits.

I seem to be going up and down weightwise, I'm going on holiday in three weeks and really want to stay in the number I'm at...I'm in fear of going back up to the next stone again, I'd be gutted! I think I'll try to stay S less until we go away in the hope that I can indulge a little on holiday without massively setting myself back.

AristonAndOn · 08/05/2017 19:27

Well done Beela. 😁
Afternoon tea sounded lovely Two. Good that you feel mentally happy with it too 😀

AristonAndOn · 08/05/2017 19:30

Hi Bow, it's funny how the numbers on the scale can make you feel positive or negative. I just went down into the next stone and it felt good. In reality I'm just a couple of pound lighter than last week.

bowbear · 08/05/2017 20:34

Hi Ariston, I know, it's such a mental battle and so crushing when you creep back into a stone that you thought you'd left behind forever!! On the upside, I do now need belt for my jeans :)
Well done on your weight loss.

Headingtowardsforty · 08/05/2017 21:16

Argh! I am such a fool. Weighed in this morning and after staying the same since the end of the first week I've lost weight, so sitting at 5lbs lighter in 4 weeks, which is amazing.
Then all afternoon I've given in to the snack and chocolate cravings. So cross with myself cos I know it's down to the fact I just didn't eat enough at lunch and it's snowballed from then.

beela · 09/05/2017 07:31

Don't worry heading, you won't have undone all of your good work in one afternoon. Just make sure you have enough lunch today Smile great news on the weight loss!

Two afternoon tea sounds delicious!

Headingtowardsforty · 09/05/2017 15:52

Thanks for the encouragement beela. I've made sure I ate enough lunch today and currently have no growling stomach distracting me, which is always good!

AristonAndOn · 10/05/2017 07:09

Whoops, did some serious comfort eating last night. I'm disappointed with myself, but I will try not to let it wreak my mood completely, it is done with.

twofloorsup · 10/05/2017 07:37

You ok Ariston ?
Old habits die very hard ! Smile

pitterpatterrain · 10/05/2017 08:03

Ariston, yes up and onwards. Agree with what you were saying about the number on the scale having such an impact up/down

Had a surprise loss today despite a few weeks of not sticking to no S that well so feeling good as a result, I wonder whether my worse days when it comes to eating are less bad than they used to be

AristonAndOn · 10/05/2017 08:06

Yes old habits indeed. I've had a load of emotional stress this week and ended up calling for a dominos 😳 Now my tummy hurts and I'm all bloated. I know
It's going to take a long time to get the mental part sorted. I've yoyoed so much, and always gone back up, such a waste of time and effort. I'm hoping so much that this time is that last big weight loss effort and the principles of no S will keep me from tuning one night of pizza eating into full blown giving up and comfort eating for months on end. Thank you for listening everyone, it's such a difficult subject to be truly honest about in real life. 💐

AristonAndOn · 10/05/2017 08:09

Yes Pitter, there are days I've have had that pizza and then finished the rest for breakfast. There is some in the fridge now and I'm listening to my body and not having it, so hopefully out bad days are less bad. Fantastic you have had a loss and are feeling good. It's nice to feel uplifted like that.

twofloorsup · 10/05/2017 14:18

Well done Pitter.
Hope you feel better soon Ariston.
My son is a dominoes fan I hate the stuff it stinks my kitchen out Grin

AristonAndOn · 10/05/2017 18:08

Oh dear, had another bad episode today. Have tummy ache. I'm eating those crappy feelings again. Then I've just had a call to say I have my lovely 'up' procedure this Saturday! Oh dear, nervous now.

PosiePootlePerkins · 10/05/2017 18:49

Ariston FlowersFlowersFlowers I am thinking of you and sending lots of good luck for your procedure. It is completely understandable that your default when stressed/unhappy is to eat, that has been your coping mechanism for a long time, I understand because I have been there myself so many times. All I can say is, don't give up. Speaking personally, NoS has been the only way of eating I have ever stuck with for this length of time without giving up. And that is because I can just try again when its all gone wrong. Each time you fight your demons you come back just a little bit stronger. You can do this, I know you can.

beela · 10/05/2017 19:22

Flowers ariston.

twofloorsup · 10/05/2017 19:35

Good luck for Saturday lovely.
Maybe No S will have to take a back seat until you're fully recovered ?

AristonAndOn · 10/05/2017 20:08

Posie 💐 Beela 💐 Two 💐
Thanks for supportive messages. Will be glad to get this weekend over with.
Need to continue with no S, if I have no rules I never stop eating!
