Pleased I had a good day yesterday, you need those to give you confidence. Really pleased today as I've booked to see my fav band in November. Last time I was so lacking in body confidence, im hoping I'll be closer to my goal by then and boogie without bouncing too much 😂😂

twofloorsup · 20/04/2017 14:40

Exciting stuff Ariston Smile

PosiePootlePerkins · 21/04/2017 07:18

Hi everyone! Wow so many posts I can't keep up! Welcome all newbies, hope its going well. Hello beela, two, ariston, everyone else!
I have had an...interesting few days in Spain... we are right by a beautiful beach but it has been extremely windy so sadly my dream of sitting on the beach in the sunshine has not come true. We have had a nice time anyway, lovely to see DH and we've done some sightseeing.
The food here is amazing, I can't believe the portion sizes and variety of food available. Interestingly there are lots of overweight people here, long meals and large portions with several courses are part of the culture. Have had some beautiful fish and seafood but will be pleased to get back to normal tomorrow.
Hope you all have a good weekend.

Hi Posie glad you're having fun.
Sitting on the beach is overrated anyway Smile
I'm starting to struggle with lack of routine so will welcome being back to work Monday.

AristonAndOn · 21/04/2017 08:06

Yes I agree routine helps me enormously. Glad you had a nice time Posie, a change of scenery is always nice, even if the weather doesn't quite do as it's told.

beela · 21/04/2017 08:39

Hi posie! Glad you've had a good time Smile

I found it hard on holiday and have been avoiding the scales ever since Blush been better this week though.

AristonAndOn · 21/04/2017 10:14

It's hard when you feel like that Beela isn't it, but glad you are getting back to it. I finally stepped back onto the scales and I've undone the damage thankfully!

Pleasedontbelikeme · 21/04/2017 13:19

Hi everyone. Not been around for a while. Badly fell off the wagon over the Easter hols. Like PPs, I really struggle when my routine is disrupted! I feel like I'm gradually pulling it back together now and it really helps to read how everyone else is getting on. Ariston especially, I could have written your recent posts about your struggles and am inspired by you getting it back together Halo Now...I need to stop thinking about getting back on track and actually do it...it really shouldn't be that bloody difficult Angry

AristonAndOn · 21/04/2017 16:14

Hi please, I'm pleased that I could be of some help. 💐 I get truly down when I lose control, and I am crediting support on here to getting me back on track and the diet itself which is quite forgiving. It's getting back to it that is the hardest. I was resolute that I'd get back on it and failed, thankfully I'm getting there but I feel a bit wobbly at the moment. The more I eat, the hungrier I get, especially if the food is sugar heavy. We just need a few more good days under our belt and that will get our confidence back.
My new thing is now I've shifted some weight, is I want to start doing more formal exercise, I have got a Fitbit and hit my 10000 most days but it's time to work up a sweat. Does anyone else workout, what do you do? I used to love body combat which I'm not fit enough for yet, I'm think going to the gym for a few weeks then giving that a go. I have been looking at the couch to 5k, but really don't have the confidence or joints for it!

riojaandcorrie · 21/04/2017 17:26

Ariston, try couch to 5k. I'm 43 and last year I wouldn't run anywhere, even if someone was chasing me with a knife. I started in August and ran 10K in November.

Weight seemed to drop with starting running. Unfortunately I have been off it due to third bout of pneumonia but I will be back!! Local leisure centres do couch to 5k groups and they are full of happy people offering support.

AristonAndOn · 21/04/2017 17:51

Rioja, you ran 10k from nothing in 3 months! That's impressive! I've searched last night for running groups in my area and they weren't really any for beginners, but I haven't specifically looked for a couch to 5k group, I'll have a look. I hope you get better soon.

AristonAndOn · 21/04/2017 17:55

I've just found a group, I just need a babysitter!

beela · 21/04/2017 18:37

Brilliant ariston!

I faced the scales and it wasn't as bad as I feared. I've lost a little bit, which has tipped my total loss to just over a stone!

AristonAndOn · 21/04/2017 18:49

A stone is brilliant! Well done 👍🏼

twofloorsup · 22/04/2017 10:38

Well done Beela that's awesome Smile
I looked at the calendar today and thought "ooh it's Saturday I can have something sweet, fab !"
And then remembered I no longer get the urge for sweet food Grin
I need to go back to work , clearly !

bowbear · 22/04/2017 13:43

Hi Everyone,
I just did the same thing Two, I did have a little bit of Easter chocolate having had none so far and really wondered why afterwards. I think I'll give it do DH instead. Very strange feeling for me indeed!! I didn't think I'd ever stop craving sweet foods but it appears to have happened :)

Congratulations on the weightloss Beela and Ariston, it is such a good feeling. I'm down 1.5 stone so far and for the first time ever feel like I'm on a plan that I can sustain.....It's not the fastest loss but hey it's going in the right direction :)
Have a lovely weekend everyone x

AristonAndOn · 22/04/2017 13:58

That's great bow. What a lovely feeling to not want it. I don't, until I do and then I can't stop eating. I still have some work to do mentally. An achievement for me today was I did my first workout in 3 yrs 4 months!

ItalianMare · 22/04/2017 15:07

May I join?

I need to lose 3 stone in 16 weeksShock.

So, its no snacks, sweets and seconds unless Saturday/sunday and special days.

Is that it?

Thank you.

pitterpatterrain · 22/04/2017 16:08

Welcome Italian! Yup you have it right
Not sure about the speed though, I am personally finding it slow and steady, just short of a stone since Jan

twofloorsup · 22/04/2017 19:39

We'll done Bow - although it's weird it's still a good feeling after a lifetime of being a sugar Hoover Smile

Welcome Italian and well done Ariston I've just finished my first week back at the gym in probably nearly 3 years and I confess I spent 90% of it in the pool as that's what I can do comfortably. Baby steps I keep telling myself ! I hated PE at school and I'm not really any different as an adult.
But I'm forcing myself as I don't want to be a burden to anyone when I'm old.
On that happy note I'm off to watch some pointless TV Smile

twofloorsup · 22/04/2017 21:08

*well done not we'll done !!
Stupid phone Grin

AristonAndOn · 22/04/2017 22:22

We do seem to follow the same path Two!

twofloorsup · 22/04/2017 22:25

Yeah maybe this diet has a script and we all follow it in our own time Smile

TheChampagneGalop · 23/04/2017 09:09

Hi everyone. Great to see you all keeping it up and new posters joining. I started no S in January, but haven't been posting for quite a while- I fell off the bandwagon really hard, but at the same time the new mindset has worked. I don't overeat as much as I used to. I've lost more than 1 stone so far which is encouraging. Plenty more to go.
Now that Easter is over I only want to eat fruit no sugarGrin Hopefully I can keep that up.

PosiePootlePerkins · 23/04/2017 09:23

Hi everyone. Welcome Italian and welcome back Champagne! Ariston and two well done on the exercise I am very impressed Smile And congrats on all the weight losses everyone, it is brilliant to read that such a simple diet is helping everyone so much.
I had a rather eventful morning yesterday, ended up in A&E having a tiny piece of plastic taken out of my eye! It was very windy in Spain and I thought a piece of sand or grit was stuck in my eye but turned out to be a bit of plastic, yuck! Much better now thank goodness.
Yesterday was also my mum's birthday and we had a huge BBq at my mum and dads, as I have mentioned before my mum cooks loads of food and always has done. On offer was salmon, steak, chicken, prawns and sausages. Along with garlic bread, onion rings jacket potatoes, corn on the cob and salad. This was for 6 of us! I have started to see it as rather obscene to have so much food on offer... and I only ate what I fancied, definitely not everything in sight as I have done in the past.
Back to work tomorrow, will help me get back in routine again.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone.
