Welcome peach, I'm sure you'll do great. Tiredness is a terror for dieting, hence me having an early night. Hard to avoid the exhaustion with babies to look after. Unless you're already v light you might find the stone goes off faster on 1300 but I would urge you not to be too hard on yourself, that's a sure fire way to burn out.
Yeah cant, that program was depressing in a way but on the other side maybe we can be the start of a new breed of fat fighters that buck the trend! I worry it just made some people think wtf is the point? But then if you're (not you of course) looking for excuses you'll always find them.
Right that's it, phone down, time to de-tech...apart from kindle

Welcome diemme, peach and cant
Need I am in awe, as always
Not and Bath you're on it!
Sesame maintenance is a whole new ball game, it's hard
Sugar hope you're feeling better
I'm aiming for back on track today. Weekend completely didn't work out as planned, eating wasn't good from a diet perspective. I had some wine last night, but a very restrained two small glasses, but still felt yucky in the night, so I'm going to pour the rest of the bottle into tubs and put it in the freezer to use in risottos. Have a good Monday all.

JontyDoggle37 · 20/02/2017 06:42

Oh and resolved not to weigh until Thursday as the scales are not helping my mindset at the moment. I'll see where I'm at then.

Not2bObvious · 20/02/2017 07:01

This weekend you had visitors didn't you jonty? That does make it hard to keep to plan, hope your recovery is going well. If the scales is upsetting you, best to keep away. You're not too far from goal are you? Bit of diet fatigue on top of having such a rough time with health is enough to deal with for the moment.
I'm carrying salt bloat I reckon from the popcorn yesterday as the scales is up 2.4 from Friday to 11.6.4 - however I'm not annoyed grits teeth as I wasn't that bad, so it has to be salt bloat & undigested food. It'll be gone by tomorrow or Wednesday and I'm hoping to see 11.3'ish by Friday.
Can't believe it's Monday again, w'ahhhh

V quiet here today, hope everyone's in good form. Day is going alright apart from the fact I've eaten all my food and dinner time is 3.5 hours away, oh boy, this is going to be tough. Kid collection & should get home around 4, might have to do some colouring for distraction

Not woohoo on the loss on Friday Star Star! You sound sooo in the zone at the moment - it’s really inspiring. How did you jog home from the shops yesterday - did you have your gear with you? Maybe that’s a stupid question but this non-exerciser is intrigued Confused. And you are right to pay no heed to the scales today - you'd be a medical miracle to gain that much so quickly. I'd say 11.3 by Friday is well within reach - maybe even lower Wink.

Jonty I’ve probably said this before but my time mgmt is so bad I don’t have time to read a book haha, BUT I’m really thinking about getting that one you’re reading. It sounds great and I’m glad it’s helping you. Boo about the scales on Friday but it’s bound to be bloat especially with stupid TOTM, so I'd say you will get a nice surprise on Thursday. Hope you enjoyed the weekend anyway - it won't take long to negate any wee bit of excess.

Need glad you’re all better since Thursday and Shock on the Cross Country! Those elevations are so tough! Well done on finishing it and the success at the Park Run yesterday - i agree that the 40s rock Grin. And ooo before I forget - I love warm water too! Everyone I know goes ‘bleurgh’ but I swear by it, my little pressie to myself last year was a Tassimo machine and I use it as a hot water dispenser most of the time.

Woohoo Bath it’s so good to hear you sounding happy with your mojo back! Do you think it was the dog walk that kick-started it on Friday? Thanks for asking for me - things are ok but I definitely notice I’m up and down like a yoyo - but work idiots have been mostly leaving me alone phew.

Oh Sugar you poor thing Brew. I wonder was it the few sleep interruptions that hit your defences. Hope you're doing better.

Sesame are you still logging in MFP when you're indulge? Could you try putting the food in first before you dig in? I know I've a cheek - I don't always do this myself - just trying to think of tips to help you feel back on track.

Welcome Diemme Flowers. Your approach sounds v sensible and I think the next 1/2 st will go in no time.

Loli well done on the assault course! And woohoo on the lb Star. You are such a good role model for us for maintenance.

Welcome Cant Flowers. Wow you've done so well - like Not said you can probably give us all tips.

Welcome Peach as well Flowers. At that calorie amount the stone could come off in half that time, so you have a lot of leeway if you want to take it slow and steady.

Ok weekend for me. Had to run an errand on Friday evening so myself and H ended up eating bar food - quite a treat for us. I had a pulled pork burger and a handful of chunky chips that I've estimated at 880. I've been getting a wee bit carried away again with snacks though - didn't help that H bought a bag of mini eggs - bloody addictive but I could have said No...sigh. Anyway, healthy dinner yesterday (Davina's egg, spinach and pea curry - I'll post a pic in a minute) so my weekly average is at 1500 but if I can be restrained today and tomorrow I can get it down to about 1375 by Wednesday's WI.

On track for 1020 today but it's taking me all my willpower not to suggest pizza to H...argh.

DawheadAwgusEeentock · 20/02/2017 18:17

This is about as culinary as I get Blush. I might have even posted it before. It's a faff to make - still taking me an hour - but very filling with whole grain rice and comes in at 560 cals.

DawheadAwgusEeentock · 20/02/2017 18:18

Scuse the messy hob BlushGrin

cantbelievemyeyes · 20/02/2017 18:42

That looks good Daw, love an egg curry but people look at me like I'm an alien if I mention it!

Not2bObvious · 20/02/2017 18:56

Ooh that looks interesting dawg, I've never tried egg curry, I had chicken curry tonight though with brown rice so currys the theme of the day! Ooh yum, I love pulled pork, that sounds like a gorgeous treat meal. To answer your question I jogged to the cinema, watched movie, ate, jogged back. I'm not a fast mover so I wasn't that much of a sweaty mess. Possibly a tad scuzzy but meh. Did shower when I got home promise lol! I think you're doing grand on your averages, you're so close to goal now no need to be too tough on yourself.
My exercise schedule is up in the air this week due to childcare issues, I'm toying with the idea of doing Zumba tonight but on the fence at the minute, had til 8'ish to decide

OP posts:
JontyDoggle37 · 20/02/2017 20:12

Not hope you made it through without snacking!
Daw that looks lovely
I forgot my lunch this morning, ended up getting a wrap and a packet of crisps from Pret but offset the extra calories by only drinking water all day instead of coffee, so that will have helped. Making Chicken noodle stir fry tonight, have marinaded the chicken in honey, olive oil, chilli, red onion and coriander first. Currently doing sleep training with DS as he's decided bed time isn't real so sipping wine over the yelling in between going back and resettling him!

Needastrongone · 20/02/2017 20:15

Welcome Can't Brilliant weight loss, that is so fantastic a loss. I can totally see how diet fatigue can set in. But you are in good company here, everyone is very supportive. No judgement. Lots of advice and sympathy.

Hello too Peach. Slow and steady works best I find. You don't feel deprived and the weight stays off.

Dawg Curry looks amazing. We have chickens, so have fresh eggs. I am always looking out for new recipes. They are not laying too much, given it's just coming out of winter, but picking up a bit now. A fresh warm egg is such a lovely thing.

You sound like you enjoyed a weekend with friends Jonty, that's the main thing.

Bored now of telling you how fab you are doing Not Grin

I have had a busy day. Work all day. I've not run as my legs are trashed but doing 2 classes tomorrow. One is with DD. Not had a hungry day at all.

B - Bircher muesli and natural yogurt.
L - tuna bagel and 2 clementines.
D - Jools Oliver sausage and smokey bean casserole and rice. Absolutely lovely, tons of veg, organic high quality sausage from local farm. Will definitely make again.
S - small glass of wine.

Not2bObvious · 20/02/2017 21:53

Went to Zumba, can't speak, that is all...

OP posts:
JontyDoggle37 · 21/02/2017 06:45

Lol Not hope you've regained the power of speech!😁
DS woke up at 5.30 so haven't managed to do my exercise session this morning, but have managed to get a load of household chores done around him this morning, so that's good.
Having a change for breakfast today, picked up a berry granola in the weekend shop so trying that with some fresh raspberries.
I've got a mix of leftover spicy veg and noodles from last night with some added edamame beans for lunch, and then DH is cooking a Chinese chicken curry for dinner. Intending to drink water most of the day at work again as well. Have a good one all!

Not2bObvious · 21/02/2017 06:54

Haha jonty, yes back alive this morning. Your food sounds lovely today, getting the plan straight from the get go is key to a good food day I find. I'd love love love a slice of buttery toast but will do with porridge.
Awake from 5, up since 6, done a load of ironing so something achieved at least. Scales down to 11.5.2, hopefully I'll see my 11.4 tomorrow. Not soreness apart from a slight lower back gripe, nothing a bit of walking about what solve. Not sure if I'll get any exercise in today but I'm starting to feel lazy if I don't get some form of movement in, maybe a gentle jog? Hope we all have a great day

OP posts:
cantbelievemyeyes · 21/02/2017 08:57

After all the talk of curry, am thinking it'll be chicken curry and brown rice for tea tonight.

Woke up in a crap mood after a bad night's sleep and nightmares, so I've had my cheer-up breakfast of chocolate porridge with peanut butter and PB Oreos Grin

I'm not working at the moment as taking a couple of months out to retrain- studying accountancy through AAT. I've foolishly booked my next two exams far too soon, so am spending all day sat on my arse studying. I make sure I get out for a 30 minute walk before lunch as a minimum, and then it's weights again this evening.

Not2bObvious · 21/02/2017 09:10

Oh cant I'm so jealous of your breakfast. Was too lazy to make porridge, bread & cheese for me. Well done on the decision to retrain, I "do" accounts, a career detail in my case but not going to do it seriously. Better to get the exams over with, too fat in the future & focus gets lost (speaking from experience, could kick myself if at all flexible!)

OP posts:
Bathsheba3 · 21/02/2017 09:44

Derailed again. Feeling utterly crap tbh. Grrrrr. Don't deserve the sympathy vote so kick up the backside needed please everyone.

Not2bObvious · 21/02/2017 09:53

Do you think it'll help bath? But I'll give it a go...ekk
Right, it's not even 10am, get some water in as a start. Plan your meals and get them into mfp, don't aim for super low. You'll buckle. This messing around has to stop, you're only hurting yourself and if you think you feel crap now, wait til you see 12 stone something on the scales - then you'll be rightly derailed. At this stage you've put yourself back a week or 2, keep this up and you'll put yourself back a few months.
I didn't like doing that ^ but you've got to get a grip now...or don't, your choice

OP posts:
Bathsheba3 · 21/02/2017 12:14

Thanks not.

Not2bObvious · 21/02/2017 12:34

Aww crap, I hope I wasn't too harsh. But you can do this, you have done it, you're just having a bump in the road. You can get back on it like the car bonnet

OP posts:
Needastrongone · 21/02/2017 15:42

Glad you enjoyed Zumba Not Grin. Feeling lazy if you don't do exercise, that's called developing a long term healthy habit in regular activity. I say it's good though. Go you!

Bath What's making you feel crap? Would it help plan your food and log it at the start of the day? Have you thought of finding a positive achievement every day and writing it down? Motivational quote a day?

Early start for you Jonty. I have breakfast fatigue too, can't think of ideas.

Daw My chickens laid 2 eggs today, production is picking up!

Wow, what a breakfast Can't, I would buzz for hours after that. Smile

Having a standard day here. Done a cardio/core class. Long dog walk. Going to Boot Camp with DD later. Legs are still trashed so no running until tomorrow.

B - smoothie (almond milk, spinach, almond butter, frozen berries, chia seeds)
L - Quinoa salad, yogurt. Graze pot.
D - Persian saffron chicken, fennel and cranberry stew with rice.
S - small wine.

Not2bObvious · 21/02/2017 16:51

Thanks need, although I have to admit I do go through these bouts of 4-5 exercise sessions a week - been a while between bouts though! Your day sounds mega active, between classes and walks, only a small glass of wine as a treat?? I think you'll have earned a large one
I've fallen into a few biccies today but all within my limits. Thoroughly enjoyed them though so no regrets

OP posts:
Diemme · 21/02/2017 17:48

Hi all, I've had a good few days food wise. I'm new to mfp and am really loving it. It's funny I've had so many attempts at calorie counting in the past but this just feels different. So easy to look up foods so no guessing. Going to toby carvery soon so just had fun totting up everything I'll eat! Saved a few calories by having soup for lunch so can have pudding and still finish under 1500. Excited much!

Needastrongone · 21/02/2017 22:07

Hope you enjoyed the cavery Diemme.

Class tonight was brilliant and DD really enjoyed it too. Tons of abs work and strength plus cardio. Funny, I've been tired and achy all day, and this has perked me right back up! Love how good exercise feels.

Back to running tomorrow, 10 miles with the club. Right back on track after feeling knackered!
