Can I join, please? I've started MFP Smile today was my 1st day: under by 8 calories Grin (1,552) - I've got a lot of weight to lose.

Not2bObvious · 30/05/2017 09:31

You're welcome dream, congrats on making it through your first day, I hope it's the first of many good days.
I've hurt my back and can barely move - I've done this before and I'm going to be banjaxed for a few days. Luckily it happened after I'd done a 6 mile jog adhad my shower so at least I'm exercised & clean for a couple of days. I'm making a little light of the situation as I'm quite pissed off. And I'm really in a lot of pain (flat out on the bed on my stomach)
Hope you're all having a better morning than me😩

@Not2bObvious - thank you Smile I lost 2 lbs, but I know the 1st day is always the most. I find the 1st day the hardest, but my mum disagrees Confused maybe it's just me!

Bathsheba3 · 30/05/2017 15:44

Oh no not. That is awful, feel very bad for you. Bad back is so debilitating, annoying, sore, and utterly frustrating, not to mention painful. Flowers and a ton of sympathy. But what gets me is how light you make of the 6-mile jog. I did that sunday, & was utterly zonked the rest of the day. I guess bad backs make trips to the kitchen harder, but that wouldn't be nice of me to make a joke of so I won't

Welcome dream, & good luck! How's everyone else doing? I can't stop thinking of food at the moment. Mind not in gear, so struggling to keep the willpower outweighing the won't-power.

Not2bObvious · 30/05/2017 16:45

Oh I wish the back made kitchen visits hard but I've been starving all day and I've pretty much eaten all my food for the day😩
I'm so sick of the pain at this stage, it's not as bad but it's quite sickening. Hope to be back to normal ('ish) tomorrow.
Sorry you fighting the munchies bath, make sure you're eating enough

Lots more sympathy your way not. Back pain is awful.

I guess the real meals are a good means of portion-control red - that is what you're allowed, and once it's gone it's gone. I will sometimes pick-up a pre-prepped salad for the same reason. Weekends are really hard. My supermarket delivery has arrived with lots of soup. Not really the season, but it was BOGOF on New Covent Garden, so I bought the skinny greens one. Lunches sorted for the week.

Willpower this evening ladies!

DreamBallet · 30/05/2017 17:35

Finished at 1,391 (169 under) Smile how much have you lot lost? Also, do you have loose skin? I'm 18, so I'm hoping it won't be too bad (but I definitely expect some) Sad

drspouse · 30/05/2017 19:29

Ooh I must check for BOGOF on soup as we're having a delivery tomorrow!
I'm 500 down having logged my tea but not eaten it. Room for one of DD's Shopkins cupcakes!

Not2bObvious · 31/05/2017 13:54

Afternoon all. Back has improved a good amount, need to watch my posture and be careful over the next few days. I ate what I earned yesterday, was constantly hungry, seeking comfort I reckon. Back on track today.

DreamBallet · 31/05/2017 14:58

@Not2bObvious - I'm glad you're feeling better!

I've now lost 4.6 lbs, but I know it falls off at the start. Day 3: 1,554 (under by 6) - I've already filled it in Wink

drspouse · 31/05/2017 22:01

Ended up going 200 over today as I was still really hungry after tea - but as I was under two of the last 3 days I'm OK with that!

Bathsheba3 · 01/06/2017 12:19

Glad to hear your back is on the mend Not. Take it easy though. Great loss Dream - you're really in the zone! And to go over by 200 is nothing Dr - very restrained in my book!

DreamBallet · 01/06/2017 12:52

@Bathsheba3 - thank you Smile

5.2 lbs lost. Today: 1,488 (72 under)

MFP is great! My mum wants me to go to SW with her, but I definitely prefer this Grin

drspouse · 01/06/2017 14:36

Cycled to work today - it's very hilly and I took DD on the back of the bike so I think the cals estimated by MFP are probably way too low!

I have a work visitor this week which is good for stopping me snacking at my desk but I've also stocked up on savoury snacks for other days (my weakness being sweet stuff, savoury snacks e.g. small bag of Quavers fill me up without making me want masses more).

Bathsheba3 · 01/06/2017 21:38

struggling here tbh. The hot humid weather is zapping my energy & motivation. I did make my PT session this morning, but pretty much undone all the good work since today. Was just about to reach for large bag kettle-chips, but have thought otherwise, & took dog for quick walk round the block, & now come on here to chat to you lot.

Bathsheba3 · 02/06/2017 08:10

Braved the scales. Back up to 11 11. Serves me right, and not unexpected but I've been playing this yo-yo game of 3-4lbs for 6 months now. Fed up, and what I'm doing - or not - is clearly not working.

I need to get very strict with myself now. Log everything. Minimal carbs. No sugar or sweet things. No wine except on nights out.

Feel I need a good shake and to give myself a stern talking to. Probably 8 weeks til holiday. Body is / has toned-up, but I still want to feel good too. Can we ever do it not? or are we constantly chasing the dream and then disappointment / frustration of never reaching it?

DreamBallet · 02/06/2017 11:48

Now lost 5.6 lbs, definitely getting slower, but still happy! Especially as it hasn't been a week yet.

Today: 1,504 (96 under) but 255 of that is for flavoured water!!!

DreamBallet · 02/06/2017 11:48

*56 under

Not2bObvious · 02/06/2017 12:44

I weighed in at 11.8 this morning and I'm delighted. Yes I do believe this time I can do it bath, it's v slow but I think it's going to stay consistent. I'm not bingeing or losing the plot these days (or nowhere near as much) cause I'm eating enough and I'm making my deficit mainly from exercise. 8 weeks you could've down 8-12 pounds if you can get your head in the game. So do you believe you can do it😬
And I'm probably going to make a big fat hypocrite of myself as I'm away this weekend 😉

@RedDahlia - thank you, that's so good to hear! Well done Smile yeah, I'm 18. Unfortunately, I do weigh a lot Sad but don't want to be overweight all through my adult life (like I have been for my child life!)

Not2bObvious · 02/06/2017 14:25

I'm afraid I don't have a fantastic weightloss story dream, my heaviest outside of pregnancy was 13.7, I was 15 stone after each of my pregnancies. I've gone up/down from 13.7 to 11.2 at my lightest- I was actually 11.2 this time last year. My ultimate goal is 9.11 but my inbetween goal is 10.13 - I haven't seen 10'anything ever. I was 9.4 at 19 and 11.2 at 23, I'm early 40's now. I have bad stretch marks on my thighs and my belly from pregnancy & weighgain but I don't think I'll have loose skin. You need to be working on building muscle as you slim and it didn't go on overnight and won't come off overnight.

OP posts:
DreamBallet · 02/06/2017 15:07

@Not2bObvious - thank you Smile I don't expect to lose it fast, I have been doing diets since I was about 10 with that mindset Grin so am happy for it to come off slow - I don't have anything coming up.

Changed my dinner, so 139 under.
