Up 1/2 lb today, which is not unsurprising given I was over my 1200 limit both days. Just had 1/2 avocado & half measure all bran. Out for lunch but will stick to soup, and no idea for dinner on account of needing to do a food shop. Have a good day everyone - & steer well clear of sugary snacks that aren't needed.

SesameSparkle · 10/03/2017 11:03

bath I did manage to resist thanks, although somehow I still managed to close quite high in the end last night…. Hmm I think you are a wee bit taller than me, bath? I am 5ft 4, and yes I am in the 9s, but that’s still a bmi of 23 for me. I’m sure you will manage to reach the weight you will feel comfortable. Feeling less self-conscious where you are right now is already a big deal. Star

I closed yesterday on 2,228, and 14,000 steps. Quite a healthy day, but was quite a lot of food – I don’t really understand how that impacts, whether that would lead to a maintain or a gain. 11 fruit and veg, with some high calorie stuff (avocado and coconut) driving up the final numbers. There were also a couple of ‘extras’ in there though – a bag of popcorn and a malteaster bunny – but at least I mindfully chose to have them, with no more bingeing. Back up to 9st9 this morning.

Not2bObvious · 10/03/2017 11:25

Great day out yesterday, thanks all. Big 3 course lunch with wine, scales skyrocketed up to 11.10 - anyway onward and downward I hope. V busy morning, only just had breakfast of toast, egg and avocado. Got to go out again this avo shopping so another few thousand steps, over 5000 already today. 5 days at 11.7.6, I have never had that - so odd, but hey I did get my whoosh...upward😉

Like Chuckie I'm baaaaacccckkk!
Still fighting. Down to 11.7, not deliberately trying to loose weight now but I'm upping the calories. This does bring my BMI to 24.1. Dr did full bloods recently and they were all good, even my cholesterol was just under 5. Nothing explains my horribly cold hands and fingers so Raynauds is possible even though I'm on Clexane.
Still exercising like a good woman. They changed our Latino Fit to Strong by Zumba...all burpees and press ups. I really enjoyed it. So now I'm doing that, normal Zumba, spin, kettlebells, a few weights and walking.
I'll give everyone's updates a good read but hope you're all good.

Bathsheba3 · 10/03/2017 18:09

Wow - all sounds good with you loli! Great news on the health benefits and blood results. Bet your body is getting really toned-up too!

Good to hear from you Not, & that you had a great day yesterday. Too right! As you know yourself, the extra 2.6 lbs will drop off again in a few days, plus more.

Well, the upshot to my week is that I've managed to cull my evening snacking by keeping busy. Even tonight I volunteered to do the 10pm DC pick up to prevent slobbing on sofa drinking wine & munching on anything I can find. The downside is that I am exhausted, plus haven't watched any crap TV, not even Broadchurch from monday Shock. Hopes to get a lie-in tomorrow dashed too. Oh well. Being awake surely burns more calories too?

Needastrongone · 10/03/2017 18:57

Hi Loli Lovely to see you, wow, you sound fit and healthy and full of energy. Good to know the blood results were okay. I like the sound of the burpees and press ups Smile

Bath I don't know how you get by on 1200, fair play to you. Good luck with the distraction techniques.

Not I'm glad you enjoyed the day.

Good day today. 8 mile muddy and hilly trail run in the legs. I ended up with 34k steps yesterday and I'm running a long one tomorrow so fueling up today he he.

B - Muesli with raisins, grapes, mango.
L - wrap and a banana.
D - pork chilli enchiladas with roasted rep pepper and massive salad.
S - wine.
Snack due to running - handful of peanuts, gel, chocolate milk, eat natural bar.

Full.com, but maintaining really well.

cantbelievemyeyes · 10/03/2017 19:23

Evening- struggling to keep up with you all! Not having the best week as the Movicol has been downright unpleasant. More than made up for my one dodgy calorie day at the start of the week, but since starting the Movicol I've suddenly got massive bloating, and a sneaky peek on the scales had me 6lb up from last week! Obviously there's no WAY that is fat, so I'm not going to worry about my 'official' weigh in tomorrow. It'll sort itself out, I hope.

Positives for the week- tried on some holiday-type clothes in Matalan today and was excited to find that I looked totally normal in size 14 shorts. My bottom half is shrinking much more slowly than my top half, so I'm really please that I seem to be a 14 on the bottom and the top now.

Aiming to finish on 1350 today, and having a sensible weekend foodwise as have an afternoon tea/ theatre thing in London on Wednesday. I dread to think of the calories for that!

Lolimax · 10/03/2017 20:40

Hi can't. Great to get into a 14! I changed shape in an odd way, I'm the opposite to you my top half is smaller than my tummy and hips. My boobs have disappeared completely.
Not sure why you have to take the dreaded Movicol, I find physillum (sp) husk in tablet form helps me.

cantbelievemyeyes · 10/03/2017 21:20

I think my boobs are heading off too Loli, I've always been big busted but they're starting to look rather sad! Funny how bodies change. Been thinking about trying the husk stuff- might hunt some down this weekend, thanks for reminding me!

Bathsheba3 · 11/03/2017 11:05

Should have gone for a run this morning, but having spent a fortune on cut & blow-dry yesterday didn't want to spoil my swishy hair. So I'll have to be extra good with my food today then Wink.

B = raspberries, blueberries, dolup (sp?) yoghurt, & some muesli (sugar free!)
L = tuna & salad
D = anything I want - it will just be me, on my own, at home, not having to think about anyone else. Can't wait. Everyone else occupied at parties & other stuff (DH out too watching rugby). I have all day to think about what I would really like to eat this evening. Suggestions welcome.

Gorgeous spring day here - hope you lovely lot are feeling good

PhyllisStein89 · 11/03/2017 12:57

Hi everyone, I hope you don't mind me popping onto the thread to ask for a bit of advice? I haven't lost any weight since October and have a stone and a half to go. I spent about 3 weeks on 1,500 calories then knocked it down to 1,300 (some days less, some days a bit more) for a week or two but nada. I have been going to the gym but not enough to build any heavy enough muscle, plus I don't look any better either!! Am I still eating too much?

Lolimax · 11/03/2017 13:59

Happy Saturday all! Bath how lovely a day to yourself! How about a steak and huge salad with mushrooms, peas and a baked sweet potato? Or a posh ready meal with pudding?
I'm v excited...I'm 'out with the girls' for the first time since I've been ill (over 2 years!!!!). Now off to buy new clothes.
Phyllis that's an odd one. Can I ask your BMI? Are you eating the same food all the time? Or too much fat/sugar/not enough protein or fibre? And what are you doing in the gym? I've recently stepped up on the weights and seen a difference already.

Needastrongone · 11/03/2017 17:20

Oh enjoy your time to yourself Bath, sounds wonderful. I always end up having omelette and salad when I am on my own, lord knows why, it's hardly exciting.

Loli My boobs are properly and totally non existent. They now look like an old Peruvian mountain woman's who has had 90 years of sun exposure Grin

You might be eating too little Phyllis, conversely. How about posting a typical day's food?

Good day today, 13.5 off road miles, lovely and mild, thoroughly enjoyed each mile.

B- porridge with mango, raisins, blueberries.
L - avo and egg on toast.
D - going to a party, not sure.
S - probably wine.
S - 3 energy gels, banana, few peanuts, few grapes.

Bathsheba3 · 12/03/2017 11:07

Finished yesterday at 1339, plus 16k steps. Dinner was chickpea & veg curry that I found lurking in back of freezer, so minimal effort. But that was until I had one chocolate, which led to another, and then to cake. So an extra 1000 cals just while watching The Voice. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. Why do I do it to myself?

The good news today is that the cake is now gone [shame] and birthday choccies finished. No more temptations.

Catching-up on chores today. Will do roast chicken later on. What's everyone else up to?

Bathsheba3 · 12/03/2017 11:08

So finished yesterday 2339, not 1339. Wake-up me.

Bathsheba3 · 12/03/2017 11:09

Blush even

Needastrongone · 12/03/2017 16:45

Hangover from hell here, feeling sorry for myself today Grin. Been a very long time since I felt this bad, and why I don't drink to excess very often at all. Poor DH has had to do more than his fair share, and without complaint. Lord knows calorie intake yesterday.

Temptations are now out of the way Bath and every day is a new day to start. Keep strong.

So, apart from a long dog walk to wake me up, and a few domestic chores, nothing else.

Still, taught me a lesson....

Needastrongone · 12/03/2017 16:47

B - toast with Marmite, when I could face it.
L - edamame bean salad. Raisins.
D - salmon and veggies
S - cucumber with hummous, cereal bar.

Thingsgettingstranger · 12/03/2017 17:10

Maintained 9,4 this week. Okay as I've been bad past few days. This week should be better. Today's been rubbish too, but I have exercised and drank loads of water.

Bathsheba3 · 12/03/2017 20:08

Oh dear, poor need. Sorry you are feeling so bad. Hope you perked-up a bit during the day wishing thinking on your behalf. Did you have a nice time though? A good dose of cake is what you really needed Wink

Good maintaining things! It does all balance itself-out in the end, or so it should in theory.

I'm on a smidge over 1500 calories today, and no exercise. Not great, but could've been worse. Back to business tomorrow.

Bathsheba3 · 12/03/2017 22:07

ps - missing you not. Hope all is OK?

Needastrongone · 13/03/2017 06:59

1500 is fine by my thinking bath. No sympathy needed, even if it was kind of you. Totally my own fault. Good nights sleep with a glass of almond milk has seen me rightSmile

I agree, hoping not is okay?

Just at farm waiting for DD so will post again later.

Not2bObvious · 13/03/2017 07:34

I'm fine guys, thanks for thinking of me. Pain in my face with the whole thing - scales off the chart, clearly doing many things wrong, despite my belief I'm eating at maintenance level. My main aim for the last week was to survive the nicotine cravings without falling back into vaping. That increased munching and past bad weeks have caught up with me and I'm in it for a long slog to get back on track. I'm away for a mini break from Thursday and will be working hard over the next 3 days to shift a bit of bloat - feeling very gutty and big, which has a huge impact on the holiday wardrobe. Hope everyone's set for a great week.

JontyDoggle37 · 13/03/2017 07:53

Morning all. Sorry for the absence. Hope everyone is ok. Last week or so have been very full on with huge deadlines at work and I decided I didn't have the headspace to try and diet, plus I needed the extra calories to keep me going. I've managed to maintain ok so still at 10.7.7. Aim for this week is to focus first on giving myself enough energy each day and second on losing 1lb this week. I've got a day out shopping with a friend on Saturday that was supposed to be a celebration for hitting goal, so a bit disappointed I'll still be over half a stone away. We're going on hols 3rd May for some early sun so I've decided to refocus on that as my goal. If I aim for half a stone off by then, that gives me 7 weeks to achieve it by the weekend before, so I can go out on the Saturday and get some new holiday clothes. Food is planned for today:
B- mushroom and spinach omelette
L - cheese and chickpea salad, satsuma
Snack - banana, two coffees at work
D - Thai red curry

Bathsheba3 · 13/03/2017 08:03

Ahh not, feel for you, been there too often. But sometimes there's no point fighting it. Start afresh when you can. A mini break - good for you. Change of scene, nice things to see and do too and romance?!

Hope you haven't felt too pressured with all the work deadlines jonty. Am sure you are impressing them though, and get through your probationary period OK.

My 1500 was premature. More like 2000 in the end. Toady is a new day
