Happy New Year Slenderistas.

Let's move away from the Christmas bugger and ditch Linda for good.

Envy of all the holidays! I'm going to Spain for 4 days in October and that's it. [sob] Unless DH and I manage to save like mad which would be extremely out of character before June (DD starts school this year so we have been dreaming about a cheap sun holiday before we get tied into school holidays).

teaping · 10/01/2017 15:19

Oooo hairspray!! I went on a birthday mini break last year with a DP and came back with a Dfiance! How exciting!!

Jealous of all these holidays! I have a weekend in Spain and then later a 2 week surprise honeymoon though so I def can't complain!

Chardonnay73 · 10/01/2017 16:42

My friends call me Judith Chalmers, but since I have known Boop she has well and truly stolen my crown 😂
I've actually got a few booked myself this year, Tenerife in March with Boop, Dominican Republic in April, Majorca May or June with Boop, Turkey in August and another girlie break to Malaga tbc. I NEED to be thin, I'm spending most of the next 6 months in a 👙!!!
Had a wobble yesterday. Was so good over weekend, no wine, just a vodka and tonic on Friday and Sat night and well under my points every day. Put on 2.5 Linda's 😔 How??????
Was very grumpy and went to bed early in a huff and weighed this morning and was back to Fridays weight 😁
So 5.5lbs lost in a week, I'm happy with that.
Have worked out a schedule for the next few months and if I stick to it then I will be 3 stone down by the time I go to Turkey in August. It's going to be bloody tough though...,

QuimReaper · 10/01/2017 18:15

Holy moly BOOP, five holidays in six months! I always say you Live the Life, however much you may deny it Grin I loved Iceland, I'd love to go back. DH is taking his mother this year for a trek. The Northern Lights were a bit of a let-down when we were there too, I'd love to see them in full swing.

Hairspray !!!!!!!!! Gah, that's so exciting! When is Geneva?

HairsprayBabe · 10/01/2017 18:59

We fly on the 24th for a long weekend! Really hope I haven't jinxxed anything 😂

HairsprayBabe · 10/01/2017 18:59

24th of Feb!

BitOutOfPractice · 10/01/2017 19:25

I survived spin class. Just.

OP posts:
Squiffy01 · 10/01/2017 19:52

hairspray. How exciting! I was convinced for about three lovely weekends away it might happen, then happened on the 4th when I was convinced it wouldn't cause a friend had just got engaged so he wouldn't go at the same time Smile

Well done on the spin class! Haven't done one in years I really should get back to it.

Envy how on earth is everyone going away so much? We have so many air miles to use so hoping for a lot of cheap flights around Europe but will have to be mostly long weekends.

KikisDeliveryService · 10/01/2017 19:58

I have holiday envy! Mine are not nearly as exciting and I'd love to go to Iceland (it's on my holiday wish list!) maybe next year :)

KikisDeliveryService · 10/01/2017 20:04

I'm so hungry today. I don't want any of my healthy foods though. I might have a cheese & courgette omelette for breakfast. I'd normally shove loads of spinach in there too but Sainsbury's hasn't had any fresh spinach in since before new year, or at least not when I've been in. I love spinach with eggy cheese dishes Angry

BitOutOfPractice · 10/01/2017 20:21

It's all these people on a health kick kiki. I couldn't get any cauliflower rice the other day Angry and I haven't been able to get on the fancy schmancy scales at the gym either.

Archduke · 10/01/2017 20:36

Kiki I have holiday envy too, it would be so exciting to have some trips lined up. The problem with living in Aus is that it's so bloody far away from everything. Our nearest o/s holiday places are Bali and Fiji, neither of which I've been to (yet). They're at least 4hrs flight away so not exactly any good for a w/end mini-break. Our next city is 9hrs drive . . .

Hairspray fingers crossed for the 24th Grin - it would be lovely to have a champagne celebration on the thread.

I have lost 0.5kg so 1 Linda since yesterday. Today I am taking the kids to some Bounce/Climbing place and our puppy is getting his clackers removed. So a mixed bag of a day.

KikisDeliveryService · 10/01/2017 20:39

That'll be it Boop. But I noticed the co op are doing butternut squash noodles and the like now too (and they had stock!). In other news, I go grocery shopping far too often. Making cauliflower rice is really easy though :) Ooh, wishing I had a cauliflower now, I love it riced (ie, chopped up small) with lots of fresh ginger and garlic, stirfried with a bit of sesame oil and lime juice.

TheLegendOfBeans · 10/01/2017 20:42

Christ Jesus I've slipped past 48hrs. BADLY. Weighing in tomorrow so I expect to be 400000kg.

Also: Italy this weekend so doubtful my carb count will be staying low 😐

KikisDeliveryService · 10/01/2017 20:53

Haha, what a combo archduke, and a beautiful turn of phrase too!

I am lying here with my back feeling twingy talking myself out of the gym tomorrow. Stupid twingy back, it's been grumbling at me on and off all week. I'm sure it was the shock of attempting to use core strength in yoga today. But yoga is normally how I fix grumbly back pain [confused[.

KikisDeliveryService · 10/01/2017 20:56

Another traveller legend! Are we all holiday foodies? Is that how we've all ended up on this thread together? I generally put on many Lindas each holiday. Right legend, you've got 3 days serious graft to put in before the weekend - that's enough to get back on track. You can do this!

QuimReaper · 10/01/2017 21:57

Another holidaymaker! Shock Agreed, Legend you need a golden finish to the week, you can definitely even it out! Let your hair down in Italy though won't you, life's too short not to partake of the Vino Rosso with abandon Wine My only holiday plans are a tentative trip / possibly of the Road variety in America with friends in Spring, can't wait! Will need to be positively waif-like before I leave in order not to get stranded at the airport on the way home for exceeding the weight allowance.

I've had another golden day here. Walked almost 15k steps and went for a swim, which afterwards had all my muscles feeling delicious. Yesterday wasn't golden exercise wise as I cowered from the rain, but it was good food-wise. Am having an early night and if I can crack two more goldies I'll be very optimistic for the scale on Friday. I am really getting the hang of this! Smile

I so hope we are raising a glass to you at the end of the month Hairspray!

lastqueenofscotland · 10/01/2017 23:29

Did well on the excercise front today crap on the food. Confused

MountainDweller · 11/01/2017 00:00

Hairspray I live minutes from the Large Hadron Collider. Went myself a few years ago - interesting even for a non geek! Hope you are going to find time for cheese, chocolate and snow as well!

I am awake because I have indigestion Angry Not because I have consumed large quantities of chocolate cake but because I ate a lot of raw cauliflower earlier with my hummus. Was quite tasty but clearly indigestible. These are the rewards of dieting Angry

Tomorrow I may make soup, think it's safer...

lastqueenofscotland · 11/01/2017 07:18

Amazingly another lb down! Really happy

Archduke · 11/01/2017 08:03

Well done lastqueen.

Had a day of sitting on my backside watching the kids be active, they are now shattered and I'm off out for a run later.

Been ok with food, went to Sushi Train for lunch and stuffed myself but was full after 4 or 5 plates . Normally I can eat sushi until it comes out of my ears. Will eat veg only for dinner.

Have a good day girls.

HairsprayBabe · 11/01/2017 08:07

queen Must be the guilt burning up all your calories!

Thanks all I am v excited, I haven't been abroad since I was a child so I am really really looking forwards to it! And even if my suspicions are wrong I don't mind too much, we aren't in any rush Wink

12.4 this morning, back on track -3lbs for the month so far! Let's hope it stays off! Going to make it a golden week!

BeyondTheStarryNight · 11/01/2017 08:19

I'm back up 1.2 lbs today, not too bad after the last two days that went a bit off track.

QuimReaper · 11/01/2017 08:28

Well done lastqueen, very gratifying after a day when food doesn't quite go to plan! And well done Hairspray, you're well on track to have another few off before the 24th (which I assume is what you're really aiming for here?).

Don't worry Beyond, sounds like a blip - you've already lost like 5-6lbs this month haven't you'? You're bound to see a brief bounce, it'll settle down.

BitOutOfPractice · 11/01/2017 08:42

Morning. I am saddle sore. And another half a Linda off. I'll take that as it takes me to exactly precisely 3 stone lost and 20% of my body weight gone forever.
