I lost 2.75lbs after my fast day yesterday! So proud.

Today I have had No Snacks, No Seconds and No Sweets, but I have had a gin and tonic and I was so grumpy before breakfast!

B: Bacon, egg and fried bread
L: Ham and cucumber roll
D: Spag Bol. With courgette sneaked in.

Hopped on the scales today fearing the worst and have not put on any weight, not lossed but not gained.
Phew

Howlongtillbedtime · 07/01/2017 08:49

Morning all . looks like everyone is doing a grand job .

Is anyone else doing 16:8 ? I started this week after seeing it talked about on t.v ( gullible) but I have lost 4 pounds so far so . am delighted . I know it won't stay at such a rate but its a good kickstart .

So hopefully I will be back at my pre Christmas weight sooner than I feared .

Off to the gym this morning and I can't find any ear phones ..... Will still go but will be even more bored than usual .....

BeyondTheStarryNight · 07/01/2017 09:35

Stayed the same today :)

Howlong, I don't do it on purpose, but my eating tends to fall into 16:8 roughly - I have breakfast at 8, lunch at 12 and dinner at 4. I find not snacking at all much easier than having a little snack and controlling myself.

ArseyTussle · 07/01/2017 09:41

Morning.

What's a golden day?

I'm concerned about the home scales being inaccurate thing, I've just bought some new ones and actually used a spirit level to find a bit of my house with a floor that is flat. And this could all be in vain because I have to move the scales to get them there?! Argh!!! I just couldn't weigh in Boots, I'd be mortified!

TheLegendOfBeans · 07/01/2017 09:45

Have put on 1kg.

HOWWWWWWW

HairsprayBabe · 07/01/2017 09:49

We are moving so fast now!

Just weighed in at 12.4 again but the scales couldn't decude for ages if i was 12.4 ir 12.3 so I am hoping for a good loss tomorrow!

I would post some of my dinners but my presentation is never very good! I might do it occasionally if one come out pretty.

I am 5ft6 11.3 gives me a healthy BMI. But long term I would like to be 10 something. I met up with loads of old friends over christmas and every single one of them was shocked at how "thin" I have gotten so that is really spurring mw on atm.

I have a wedding in March (hen party girl) and I want to look 10/10 for the photos!

KikisDeliveryService · 07/01/2017 09:52

howlong - I mix up different intermittent fasting techniques. I use 16:8 when I can't face a 500 calorie 5:2 day or when I'm maintaining. I got too sporadic with it though and over the course of a year or so the weight snuck back up again. Am 5:2ing religiously till I get back to maintenance weight.

Arsey I put my scales on a flat board which seems to do the trick on my carpeted bedroom floor.

A golden day is the sort of well behaved. stuck-to-the-plan with food and exercise where you feel you've earned yourself a Star and a Halo!

The good news is I have not been abducted by aliens! I have added cheese to my omelette/frittata and it is glorious. I am continuing my no bread/white flour, no sugar regime through this weekend and into next week. Once I've done a clear 2 weeks I may allow weekend intake, but we'll see. I am not missing any of those things, aside from occasional slight pangs, and enjoying being more creative about my eating again. It makes me eat more nutritiously and less calorifically and I feel great so what's not to love?

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 07/01/2017 10:10

Morning all! Weighed in this morning and I am at my pre-Christmas weight, phew! I was sure I would have piled on the weight but I am very relieved I have not. I want to lose about another 9-12 lbs to get back to my target weight (aka the weight I was for years and years before things went a bit pear-shaped) so I am going to aim for 5lbs this month and next.

Legend is your period due? My weight shoots up around my period, could it be that?

Arsey Very few scales are completely accurate, if you just stick to one set of scales and always weigh yourself on those you will at least be able to track the change in weight, even if it's not perfectly accurate.

ponygirlcurtis · 07/01/2017 10:12

I also have my scales on a piece of wood so I can weigh in my bedroom.

It will come off again Legend, just a fluctuation.

I am hopeful that I will be able to get some walking in today - I was marching on the spot in front of the TV last night to get my steps up and claw back some calories on MFP. Grin

HairsprayBabe · 07/01/2017 10:49

We can ignore my gross mirror and messy bedroom... but these are size 22 and were tight in August! I'm now a 14 but I keep these around to cheer my self up when the scales stick for a few days!

ArseyTussle · 07/01/2017 10:58

Excellent work Hairspray, a size 14 is what I'm aiming for!

I haven't had a golden day yet, I'm a bronze/Premiership contender, depending on your preferred analogy.

Definitely eating less than I have been for a while, and exercising well, so hoping for some sort of loss on Monday morning.

BitOutOfPractice · 07/01/2017 11:29

Oh hairspray that picture is superb! Star

WOW Hairspray you look incredible, what a fantastic picture! I can't believe you've dropped four dress sizes in as many months, that's insane! I have a friend who lost three stone before changing size. I think she must have been doing that thing where she was so in denial about her size that she'd wear anything that would fit her with a size 14 or whatever it was on the label.

My friend has just sent us a thank you card from their wedding with some photos of me and DH printed out in them. There are a couple which I think are actually really nice and would even consider framing, but my arms look absolutely enormous! Like really flabbily huge! It was very sobering. Made me stiffen my resolve to really try and tone up this year as well as just lose weight. I actually felt pretty slim that day too, my bridesmaid dress which had been a good fit when I first tried it on 10 months or so earlier was really loose on me. Bloody arm flab Sad

QuimReaper · 07/01/2017 13:23

Thank you all for the congratulations btw - as I mentioned I was 400g off my goal on December 16th so it isn't a huge loss, but it means on my golden week I kicked the Christmas weight gain in the ass and then some, so I am thrilled - and after dreaming of seeing that number on the scale for about 8 months it's pretty surreal to achieve it!

Another 2kg to go to my proper goal weight, but I think I'll need to keep up the diet after that until my body fat % is less alarming. I seem to be losing weight and inches but not fat, it's very strange - when I was this weight before I definitely wasn't so flabby Confused

QuimReaper · 07/01/2017 13:24

Oh and Legend definitely just a fluctuation, don't sweat it!

Howlongtillbedtime · 07/01/2017 13:29

hairspray that is impressive ! I am aiming to be a size 14 . That is where I feel comfortable . For me to get to a 10 or 12 would mean a lot of hard work ( lazy )

Purpleboa · 07/01/2017 13:49

Very inspiring Hairspray! Great picture!

Well, after yesterday's spectacular fall off the wagon (macaroni cheese for lunch, Chinese takeaway for tea and WINE), I'm back on it today. Went for a run this morning, so far so good. It's my time of the month so I'm not being too hard on myself for falling. Guilt and self loathing invariably triggers a binge for me so I want to break that cycle!

BeyondTheStarryNight · 07/01/2017 16:33

Hmm. Birthday party this afternoon so I have had coffee, two biscuits and a slice of birthday cake. Did avoid party food though, so I think I did okay. Still under my MFP calorie goal, even if I'm a tad over 800cal

BeyondTheStarryNight · 07/01/2017 16:34

And wow hairspray, that is one inspiring picture!! Shock

Squiffy01 · 07/01/2017 17:50

Hairspray that is absolutely amazing well done!!

Pony - I absolutely love the hairy dieters cookbooks! Love the first three one and two in particular. Not fussed with the 4th book quick meals in 30 minutes or something. There is a lot of fish (which I don't like) and the recipes I do want need a pressure cooker which I don't have.

I've had such a terrible day food wise. Went to a cooking course this morning, baking, and have since eaten everything we cooked. I'm absolutely disgusted with myself. I wish I was one of those people who could have just one of something I not just eat it until it's gone or I feel ill

Now DH's car battery is dead so can't do the weekly shop and have literally no food in the house. So hoping that doesn't mean a take away as well Sad
