Happy Advent!

Here's the link to the November thread where we cheered each other on to be MoSlender

Now we slide frostily into Christmas with the hope of losing more (or at least not losing our grip completely)

Can I join?

I did a similar thread in weight loss in October or November but then lost track.

So far today for breakfast and snacks have had 1 digestive biscuit, 1 marmite cheese round thing, 1 Vogel soya and linseed toast with laughing. Cow light cheese triangle and 2 cups of tea with skimmed milk. And 1 Rachel's fairy cake.

Yesterday had 1 digestive biscuit, 1 marmite cheese, 1 Vogel and soya and linseed toast with laughing cow plus 5 cups of tea with skimmed milk, 1 half of carton of M&S tomato, borlotti bean and kale soup plus 1 burgen soya and linseed toast and 2 x tea with semi skimmed milk and handful (small) of kettle chips sea salt chips. In evening had omelette with cheese and mushrooms, fried potatoes and salad (avocado, lettuce, tomato, radish, beetroot) plus 1 x orange. Exercise minimal involved going to shop (20 minutes total) and walks to and from the car.

At a rough guess about 11 stone and 5 ft 4.5 height. Want to lose at least 7lbs. Meant to be training for 5K in January but realistically don't think that will happen but there's another one soon. Yoga teacher had to cancel her weekly class and solace being used for something else so plan to join gym near new work (started last week).

Friday. Had M&S cheese twist for breakfast and cinnamon biscuits x 2 for snack and omelette with mushroom and cheese and chips and salad mixed for lunch. Had remainder of plain hula hoops for more snack. Had ratatouille pasta bake (cheese sauce and bacon) but with salad with beetroot and avocado etc as a Side. Had 2 x mojitos later. Walked approx 1 hour at various points during the day all quite good speeds. The salad (has light French dressing) is I hope saving me...

Mummyreindeerlegz · 11/12/2016 10:11

It's butter and sausage roll retention.

Lorelei76 · 11/12/2016 10:29

Hi Super, welcome along.

Bunnyjo · 11/12/2016 10:42

Weighed myself this morning and I'm 11st 12lb which is a loss of 1.5lb for the week, 3.5lb for the month and 2st 10lb since I started at the very end of August.

Aiming to get as close as possible to the 3st loss mark between now and New Year.

BeyondTheHarpy · 11/12/2016 11:32

Hey, just checking in :) don't worry, focussed weight loss is on the back burner for now. As I just said on the BSD thread though, luckily I feel too crappy to go mental food wise. So I'm just plodding along, trying to get maximum nutrients for what I am eating

Had banana pancake things for breakfast with lemon tea, lunch is roast chicken with salad and jacket potato. No idea what dinner is yet, but I'll have some 85% chocolate and some nuts at some point too

BeyondTheHarpy · 11/12/2016 11:35

Took my last antibiotic this morning, so that's one thing done. Grin
Now I just have to clear up the resultant thrush and wait for my bloods to come back

BitOutOfPractice · 11/12/2016 15:11

Hello super! And very well done bunnyjo. That is a tremendous achievement

I'm back from Nottingham with a full fried breakfast inside me and a Starbucks Christmas coffee on the way home. Hangover cure Hmm

I'm going to be good from now on though. Swim later and a Hairy Dieters curry for tea

Hi Bit and Lorelei and the others!

Bit bloody awful this time of year re hangover cures isn't it? New office had their Xmas dinner party last week and I was saying about how a McD breakfast muffin sorts out the hangover whereas my new, 30 at most, very fit male colleague quaffed down some juicy thing and said no carbs etc for hangovers... Confused

So far today not been out at all as making last minute Christmas cake... Had oxtail soup and cheese scone with pro activ plus glass of water for lunch, plus olive and herb crackers (about 5) with cathedral city light cheddar and 4 cherry tomatoes. Also had pecan pie with whiskey slice. Not doing well so far hey ho.

Next week I plan all being well to make some soup and salads for lunch for work. Good thing about new job is can get a good amount of walking in.

Mummyreindeerlegz · 11/12/2016 20:41

Been to the Pantomime and prezzo. I had soup and then the light pizza that comes with salad. And then dessert. But it was lovely and I didn't feel guilty afterwards.

Archduke · 12/12/2016 00:44

Hi all, weighed in this morning - am down 200gms so now 64.7kg! Still slow progress but progress of sorts I suppose. As I'm a shortarse I'm still in the overweight category for my BMI, I need to loose 700gms to reach non-fatso BMI status, hoping I can get there by Xmas.

I did a run this morning which was great, however I did get overtaken by an old chap on a mobility scooter at one point which was a bit disheartening.

Bunnyjo 3st since August is fantastic - have you any tips? I've cut out all sweets/junk/alcohol (mostly). Eating heaps of veg - watching portions of what I eat and the weight is fiercely clinging on. Not sure what else I should be doing. . .

Mummyreindeerlegz · 12/12/2016 08:50

Argh I'm now up half a stone after one weekend. I want to sit and cry, I can't believe how much I've put on.

BeyondTheHarpy · 12/12/2016 08:51

Have not weighed, but breakfast was muesli and almond milk so is on track. Planning to have salad for lunch with avocado, then possibly a smoothie before I go out tonight (to a gig)

BeyondTheHarpy · 12/12/2016 08:52

Mummy, to jump up that much over a weekend sounds like bloat to me, don't panic too much Flowers

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 12/12/2016 08:55

Well done Bunny, that is an amazing loss!

I'm doing a fast day today, it's much needed as I overindulged somewhat this weekend and I feel sort of heavy and sluggish. Hopefully this fast day will kickstart a golden week! Or at least a golden four days... not sure how golden a weekend in December can be!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 12/12/2016 08:58

Mummy that must be bloat/water retention. Seriously, I don't think it is possible to put on half a stone of actual fat over a single weekend. If it's gone on in a couple of days, you can probably get it off in a couple of days, so don't panic!

HairsprayBabe · 12/12/2016 09:00

Hi all,

Sorry I haven't posted much this weekend, been very busy with life and parties and then yesterday my brother was rushed to hospital after having a seizure on the rugby pitch and dislocating his jaw. He is ok now but my mum has kept him off collage today (he was just 18 last month) and he is being fussed and fawned over by everyone.

My party went well, and I only got 100% hammered so felt lovely yesterday Envy

Mummyreindeerlegz · 12/12/2016 09:04

I haven't "been" since Thursday or Friday. I'm very irregular these days.

I'm currently mid cycle so it's not that.

I'm going to throw in some fast days I think, try and change things up.

Thanks guys, pray for reindeerlegz bloat.

BitOutOfPractice · 12/12/2016 09:54

Well done hairspray
*
Mummy* I think changing things up every now and again can work wonders.

BF just made me breakfast. An egg cooked in a half avocado. I have discovered I do not like cooked avocado Envy

Mummyreindeerlegz · 12/12/2016 10:00

I tried that. Was it a lean in 15 thing? It did not float my boat.

HairsprayBabe · 12/12/2016 10:25

Oooh I love warm avocado! Back when I ate bread I used to make an amazing spinach, avocado and mozzarella toasted sarnie, and I have an amazing recipe for nacho lime crust avocado fries, that is totally off limits as well now!

I am starving, I ate so many carbs this weekend my body is craving them hard right now, what is for lunch today losers?

Lorelei76 · 12/12/2016 11:04

Hairspray, I think as long as you add some protein to your lunch you will level off.

I still haven't figured out how to handle this week, I think eating less is probably a better idea as I am pretty shattered with all the mum being ill stuff. Unfortunately my head explodes as soon as she goes to sleep, I suppose because I can look stressed without stressing her more?

anyway, yesterday I ate 2 protein bars for convenience and I seem to have given myself indigestion. Never had this brand before so maybe that's why. It's a pity because especially under stress, it's much easier to eat one of those than chomp through a piece of chicken or whatever.

BitOutOfPractice · 12/12/2016 11:53

I am having chicken salad with ranch salad which I love. Though it's not really salad weather.

Just been for a walk along the sea front. It's a bit brisk out there

QuimReaper · 12/12/2016 12:11

Hello lovely losers!

BOOP I'm always seeing those eggvocado things kicking around on people's instagram feeds and I have never tried it but I always think the same thing about cooking the avocado Envy

I had sushi last night and due to a fuckup they sent me far more than I could manage so that's my food sorted for the day Grin I was going to have four golden days this week but I've been invited to the theatre tonight so am just going to do three, and try and keep today sensible. I am feeling enormous after this weekend, the Christmas Podge is already bedding in...

Mummy it is not possible to put on a real half-stone in a single weekend! It's just bloating and water retention, one sensible carb-free day with lots and lots of water will sort you out, I promise!

QuimReaper · 12/12/2016 12:11

Also Mummy I am most intrigued by your chocolate cake, are you making a confectionary nativity scene or something?

QuimReaper · 12/12/2016 12:13

Bunnyjo three stone in four months Shock that is completely astonishing! Well done!

Welcome Super Smile
