Losses for both jonty & not - whoop whoop. They are real, small steps. Well done, and well deserved!

I braved the scales & sadly my weekend has caught up with me. Either that or the extra large portion of chilli & rice I had for dinner. Either way, I'm going to be eating light the next few days. Must take a leaf out of sesames books and remember to log everything again.

Not2bObvious · 25/01/2017 13:33

Oh dear, v munchy day here - biscuits & danish in the offices and porky here just munched her way through a decent amount of both. Off to fess up to mfp, see how much damage I've done to the days figures. Sugar is soo moreish.

Evening. I'm just having the mental wine battle:
Devil on left shoulder:"you deserve it, it's been a hard day..."
Angel on right shoulder:"you want to lose weight, you can't drink wine tonight it will put you way over your calorie allowance!"
To be honest, I went back to wrk too early and how I've made it through the day feeling this crap is a bloody miracle. Not sure which shoulder is going to win yet, I have ten minutes left on the train to decide..

Needastrongone · 25/01/2017 18:06

Let us know how you get on Jonty. Bless you. I can resist all chocolate and crisps, but not wine. So no advice here.

Hope the class goes well. I assume the aches are DOMS and not anything sinister.

I'm a believer in the scales fluctuating by a pound or two, naturally, don't worry guys.

Long day today. Work. 2 x dog walks. Just off running now.

Here's what I have made for tea. Very easy and very healthy. Tastes lovely.

www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/vegetables-recipes/red-lentil-sweet-potato-coconut-soup/

Breakfast - soaked muesli, greek yogurt, blueberries.
Lunch - Big bowl of berries, quinoa salad.
Dinner - Above.
Snacks - 2 crackers, some roasted veg, a grazebox, energy gel, wine.

The snacks are because I am just off to go for a 10 miles run. Grin

Needastrongone · 25/01/2017 18:07

Class goes well Not, sorry, quick post before I dash out.

JontyDoggle37 · 25/01/2017 18:26

Update: the devil won

DawheadAwgusEeentock · 25/01/2017 18:52

Sorry I missed yesterday - crazy day at work and sitting here now waiting for a 7pm meeting to start Hmm.

Not that's 4lbs in just over 3 weeks - that's brilliant - well done Star! See, you are well on the way to the dress-goal. A weights class sounds really good - definitely something I'm keeping on my wishlist for later in the year. Nothing but sympathy for the nice sugary stuff - why does something so nice have to be so bad for us sigh.

Need you had done more yesterday by 4pm than I do in a week Grin. Your food definitely sounds lovely but I have to confess I find soup very hard to face - no idea why. Then once I start eating it I realise it tastes lovely. Did any of the other Irish ladies on here ever face soup and spuds as a childhood dinner? Maybe I can blame that for putting me off Wink. Hope you enjoy the run - it's fairly stormy in my part of the world hope the weather's ok there.

Jonty oh gosh you did so well on the scales considering all the illness you've had to deal with - well done Star! All things considered I think wine is definitely in order considering the work day today and still feeling a bit icky Flowers.

Loli well done on the good news on the scales too Star!! Hope the evil manager's hat is working today Wink.

Sugar that's great you finally got a good sleep - tiredness makes such a difference to our willpower and resistance.

Bath I loved your update format Grin. So glad you had a lot of positives there. Boo about the scales but you will get back on track in no time and it could just be a blip.

Sesame great to hear from you - congrats on the lovely birthday weekend Flowers! Wow 288 days on MFP is brilliant. No advice on the knees but watching with interest.

WI for me today and lost 0.4kg ~ 0.9lb. Down to 63.4kg ~ 10st even. It's actually a smidgen under 10 but need to get another bit off before I talk about 9s. It's so silly, but 100g more would have made me so much happier - just to have a round number and I would have (finally) been back to my pre Xmas weight. I guess it's not bad considering my average was 1550 cals, but I was kind of hoping for more given all the drama. I did have a NSV yesterday as I have started to need a belt for my size 12 jeans Grin.

Going to be a tough week calorie wise as H and I are going for a proper, posh meal on Saturday for his birthday. Want to be able to enjoy it, so need to pull my socks up tomorrow and Friday - coming in at 1325 today. I'm still having too many choccie biccies after lunch. Soup day planned tomorrow but we'll see...

Not2bObvious · 25/01/2017 18:57

Don't be too hard on yourself jonty, it's made from grapes right? So part of your 5 a day😉 Relax & enjoy.
Well, I've turned the day around. I wasn't going to the gym and I was having fish & chips (after a load of munching) But I saw the light, cancelled the take away, jogged to the gym, did a 40 minute weight/cardio class, brisk walk back. Made an individual pizza with a Mediterranean wrap, only 240 cals and incredibly delicious! All in 1500
Now can I have a glass of 🍷 😁

Not2bObvious · 25/01/2017 19:02

Just seen your update dawg!! Oh that's brilliant to get back to pre Christmas weight, if my weight is true I'm around the same - well done us😉 And the v important nsv of needing a belt, the scales doesn't tell the whole story. I'm a soup loather too, might be my oirish'ness but I think it's more my years of seeing it as a diet food. The only one I really enjoy is when I purée remains of a Thai curry with a drop of water - now that I love!

JontyDoggle37 · 25/01/2017 19:36

Tonight's chicken and Chorizo paella (in my defence, a large glass of the wine has gone into that)!
😁 (P.s thanks Daw and Not for the wine blessings 😂)

Ooh that does like nice jonty, although I'm laughing at the crayon in the background - every corner of my house has colouring pencils/markers/crayons. And some of it even ends up on paper (although a fair bit on the walls in the past😉)

OP posts:
Needastrongone · 25/01/2017 21:50

Well done Daw and Not for getting back to pre Christmas weight. It's only 25th Jan, so great work. Good for you Not for getting to the class and walking there and the healthy food. All this will reward you, I promise!

Looks lovely Jonty, totally my kind of thing. I don't know why folk want to eat crap when they can eat amazing stuff like that.

Well, 10 miles run. 7 miles with my fast group and they were on a mission tonight so we did push hard for a club run night at 8mm.

The soup was lovely I promise, I've had lots of extra crusty bread, but the exercise calories always put me under by circa 400 cals per day.

PT session at 9.30 am.... hey ho. One of my hard core running friends did 3 miles with us early, 20 minutes of weights in the gym, then 7 fast miles as we set of for our 2nd run. Fit lady!

JontyDoggle37 · 25/01/2017 21:57

Need you make me feel tired lol!
(It's only running envy speaking, I miss it so much and have no idea how to fit it in any more...)

JontyDoggle37 · 26/01/2017 08:19

Morning. Quiet here this morning! Scales have been kind, 1.5lb drop from yesterday so now 10st 6.75lbs 😁.
Have been up literally all night with dog, he's got a poorly tummy and I need to take him to the vets in a bit (it doesn't rain it pours eh?).
Food plan today is:
B: avocado and egg on toast
L: leftover paella
D: new chickpea spinach and coconut milk recipe: www.thekitchn.com/recipe-braised-coconut-spinach-chickpeas-with-lemon-recipes-from-the-kitchn-164551
I'll let you know how it goes, it's only 200 calories so I'm hoping it tastes lovely!

Not2bObvious · 26/01/2017 09:42

I posted earlier but it got lost. Long story short, scales up .4 on yesterday's low - likely to do with bingefest of sugar/carbs. Not in too much pain today - hurrah!
That's super jonty, closer to 10 than 11, that's brilliant. Poor dog😔

Morning (just!). Had my regular contraceptive injection today. She weighed me and congratulated me that I'd turned 'green'- BMI under 25! BP was 102/70, not bad for a 47 year old, but then came the 'we'll have to run blood tests to see if you're menopausal'. How to make a girl feel great!!
No weight loss but I wasn't expecting one, happy to maintain and lose these next few lbs slowly.
Spin tonight, beef stew in the slow cooker for tea.

Sugarandsalt · 26/01/2017 12:02

After a few bad days I'm back. 1lb up unsurprisingly! Finally got some sleep last night after 10 very very bad nights in a row!

Haven't had a chance to catch up on everyone yet but will later. My guests arrive tonight so I'm just aiming not to gain this week

Needastrongone · 26/01/2017 12:27

Only a pound Sugar, it will be water I bet.

Brilliant stuff about the 'green' BMI Loli. What an achievement. I know, I am 45 today..... I understand....

Jonty Poor doggy. You guys are going through the wars a bit, so be kind to your self. How is he?

I'm 7.6 this morning. Totally cool with that.

Exercise - Session with the PT. I have defined abs for the very first time in my life. I never ever thought I would say that! Dog walk.

Breakfast - birch muesli, blueberries and Greek yogurt.
Lunch - Salad, not sure. Not hungry today.
Dinner - Not sure either ha ha...

It's my birthday today. DC's got up extra early to make me coffee and empty the dishwasher, change the washing over and arrange my cards and presents. Bless 'em.

I am 45...... bugger.... Grin

JontyDoggle37 · 26/01/2017 13:07

Quick post to say Happy Birthday Not!!!!!🎂🍾

Lolimax · 26/01/2017 13:48

Needastrongone · 26/01/2017 14:29

It's me that has the birthday you daft buggers. GrinGrinGrin

Not2bObvious · 26/01/2017 15:32

Happy birthday need! Hope you have a lovely day. As for the rest of you blind buggers😚, I'm ages away from my next birthday! Don't be adding a year on me😉
Go green girl loli, I think you'd have been justified to utter "excuse did you mean to be so rude?" And clutch your pearls!!

OP posts:
SesameSparkle · 26/01/2017 17:27

Happy birthday need!!! I'm picturing you with your Wine and maybe some Cake in the shape of a muddy running shoe with some bits of carrot inside to help with your Halo - perhaps JO has a recipe...? Grin

JontyDoggle37 · 26/01/2017 18:09

Lol oops sorry Need and Not I blame it on sleep deprivation!

Loli well done on the BMI victory that's fab!

JontyDoggle37 · 27/01/2017 06:29

Morning all.....another 1lb down!!!! 10st 5.5 😄 Closed the kitchen yesterday at 1372, aiming for around the same today. Dinner last night was LUSH, and really filling despite no meat or 'white' carbs (onion, garlic, chilli, teaspoon yellow Thai paste, half a can chickpeas, 1/4 tin light coconut milk, big handful chopped spring greens).
And..... I SLEPT!!!!! (Can you tell I've got more energy this morning?!?😂 Going to blitz some household chores now, get settled in early to start work at home, then finishing at 3 to take dog to vets for a jab (he's recovered fully from his poorly tummy). It's nearly the weekend!!!!!😁😁😁😁
