Maybe not golden but bloody good fun - you deserve it after all your hard work!

Final cooked breakfast this morning, before starting in earnest in the morning (I'm off work for a few days with DH and the DC, so we are having a mini holiday at home). Will eat sensibly for the rest of the day and start the calorie counting tomorrow with the aim of eating only veg soup at work every day, and doing my first 5:2 day (again!) next Monday.

My menu today:

(Am off work today)

Breakfast: woke up late so just hand a handful of grapes

Lunch: wholemeal bagel with avocado and a drizzle of olive oil

Dinner: sea bass, quinoa and vegetables

Snacks: natural yoghurt with fruit

Determined to stick to it!

My meal plan is:
Breakfast: scrambled eggs on toast (300 cal)
Lunch: Roquefort, oat biscuits, and beetroot dip (520 cal)
Dinner: mushroom and goat's cheese pasta (580)
Snacks: small glass white wine (150 cal), couple of cups of tea (50ish), bedtime horlicks Blush (200)

Works out at exactly 1800, if I weigh everything carefully and make sure I actually stick to one small glass of wine!

Hi, joining in with this. I've been doing my own diet and lost weight slowly since Jan. I am 10st 12. (Thought I was 10st 10), but like previous poster, those 2 lbs were only misplaced.
Stopping evening nibbles is my aim.

Hi to today's new joiners Smile!

I've had a good day today, busy at a new job and have been well behaved food-wise (declined biscuits and had a salad packed lunch). Exhausted now but not reaching for extra food. Hoping that the speedy cycles to and from work help counteract that I now have a mostly sitting down job.

pabst me too, re. sugar. It's worked though as I haven't been craving and can happily not have anything, or even eat it like a normal, sensible human at the weekend.

Another successful day for me :)
It annoys me - I find it so easy when I'm "on the ball" diet wise, so wtf happens and makes me go off piste?! And not just off piste, but down a bloody ravine and washed out to sea!! Grin

Welcome to all the new faces. Smile

My menu today:
B: protein shake
L: bacon, eggs, mushrooms
D: lamb curry and veg

  • several Brew, a few slices of wafer-thin ham and a caramel wafer bar. Should come in around 1,300-1,350 cals. Not much activity today as it's my day off but I should still have a deficit of 400-500 cals.

Hi! It's purplepandapants here, name changed to avoid confusion! Purplepandas - now I'm wondering if your name was somewhere in my subconscious from reading the thread or if I chose prev name as I've been trying for days to think of something beginning with p for my kids show & tell tomorrow! Anyway I've been under on mfp yesterday & today so good start. I'll weigh next Tuesday morning & try and hold it together til then!

Completely agree Beyondb Grin I was saying that on the last thread about Being Good M-Th, it became a habit after a while, but whilst I'm out of the habit it seems impossible!

Good day here: Fast Day on track and walked almost 11km. I'm pleased with that because it was a walk I'd planned, but I hadn't really registered that with the clocks changing it would mean it'd be pitch dark before I even set out, and I was frozen solid from standing in our building site for an hour with the kitchen people. I so nearly chickened out and got the tube!

You didn't have to name change fishy. I don't mind at all. You can't have too many pandas, especially purple ones. Feel free to change back. I thought it was funny 😁.

Just checking in here is useful.

Hi all can I join too Smile

I would love to loose 7lbs, I'm not sure what diet to do tho!

I've cut out bread but I find it hard to stop chocolate! So I'm thinking maybe calorie counting!

Report
MountainDweller · 03/11/2016 00:15

Just checking in. I've enjoyed reading your menus. Last night I couldn't sleep so ate instead... Chocolate, hot chocolate and a bowl of cereal BlushBlushBlushBlush but I'm back on track today and have counted in (most of) my misdemeanours!
B: muesli and berries
L: rice cakes with Philadelphia, avocado and tomatoes
D: home made smoked haddock chowder - was yummy and only 368 cals. Easy for me to avoid bread with it as am gluten free.
No chocolate today though I had lots of calories left so had a panna cotta for dessert.
Hoping I sleep the sleep of the virtuous and don't wake up with chocolate cravings...

Sounds like everyone has had a successful day yesterday! I came in at under my 1800 goal, and managed to squeeze in a run. I also did my 10,000 steps which is good. Plus I went to the cinema with DP and managed to avoid the popcorn and everything Grin

Having a fast day today, so my menu is something like this:
B: black coffee
L: banana and spoonful of peanut butter
D: veggie burger and mountain of vegetables

good morning . Good night then ? ; )

I have been a bit rubbish this week but I am back on track today ! Once I fall off it is so hard to get back in the rythym of it all .
Whiny whinge whinge ..........

So today I vow to do 12500
And to eat like a slim person .

Not much to ask is it ?

Good luck everyone ! As the 1st was a Tuesday I have decided that is my new weigh in day so I have a few days of damage limitation ahead .

Right, not even an whisper of weightloss and it's already Thursday (still 2lb up) and had a carby carb dinner last night and I'm not hungry so will skip breakfast and wait till lunch. There is an emergency apple in my bag.

For evening snackers - if I eat after dinner I then consider that breakfast and not eat in the morning. It puts a different slant on things!
