Stuck at 12.10 this morning, have drank 2.5l of water so far today.
Whats for dinner tonight guys, I am doing a week of soups starting with Miso and grilled veggies, (+ noodles for DP)

BitOutOfPractice · 14/11/2016 14:41

It was rather good Quim. An old endowment that exH and I have had for 20 years matured and turned out to be much better than we had dared to hope. We have literally both worried about it, should we chop it in or keep it, shortfall letters etc for many many years. So me and the exH had a glass of fizz to celebrate and then BF came round with some more and it continued on a slippery slope from there!

Hairspray I am making Hairy Bikers Chicken Tikka Masala (302 cals). Chicken is marinading in the fridge as we speak and smells lovely

BitOutOfPractice · 14/11/2016 14:42

And Quimmy I hope that wretched cold stays away. There's such a lot of it about. I'm coughing like a 20 a-day girl. Haven't been able to run for 10 days

QuimReaper · 14/11/2016 17:12

BOOP gosh, that's exciting! I think it's OK to celebrate unexpected good fortune like that, it's the random no-reasons blowouts I always regret so bitterly Grin

Looks like the cold is definitely approaching. The sneezing has begun, I just so hope I don't get it as badly as DH did. I'm on a Fast Day so not supposed to be eating much at all, but it's so hard when you're coming down with something, I usually see impending illness as carte blanche to wrap up warm, nip out to the shop and come back with a bag of treats, then curl up in a dressing gown and scarf the lot... I will be so happy if I ditch another pound though, got to focus on that!

QuimReaper · 14/11/2016 17:14

BOOP sounds like you and your exH are on excellent terms, that is very admirable indeed.

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 14/11/2016 17:21

I've had The Cold now for about ten days, why won't it go away!!! :( luckily it's not too bad, I'm just incredibly snotty

I stayed the same today.

BitOutOfPractice · 14/11/2016 17:36

We do get on ok. Just back from DD1's parents evening together. I think we were both so relieved to be honest.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 14/11/2016 19:51

Hello! Unfortunately had a gain this morning (only 1.5lbs, but still), after a weekend of eating and drinking too much. Back to being good again today; 1200 calories, no alcohol, and managed to squeeze in a run this evening. Fast day tomorrow as well, hopefully by Wednesday I'll be back on track!

QuimReaper · 14/11/2016 20:53

You are brave for measuring after a weekend Spurious - I always weigh in as close to the weekend as possible, before I've eaten a thing! No doubt I would see gains every Monday too, so I wait until Friday!

BitOutOfPractice · 14/11/2016 23:01

I also managed a run. Only 25 minutes on the treadmill but happy to get through it without coughing up a lung

Had hairy bikers chicken tikka masala tonight. First time I've done it and omg it was so good. Would really recommend. Tastes like take away but nicer!

BitOutOfPractice · 15/11/2016 09:28

Morning Slenderistas! How are we this morning?

I didn't sleep for long enough so feel a little jaded. I have dinner in the slow cooker already and a wash on. Just need to do some work now...

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 15/11/2016 10:39

Morning. Still feeling crap here, but scales have kindly moved down 0.2lbs, so could be worse! :)

QuimReaper · 15/11/2016 11:05

Morning all! Not feeling too bad here, slept like a log and my lurking cold doesn't seem to have progressed which is a relief. Haven't had a proper night's sleep in about five consecutive tries so very relieved!

Had a great day yesterday food-wise but didn't manage so much as a walk (except for with the dog, and that tends to be more of a meander these days) so need to up the exercise. Will get a good walk in today, but am not anticipating a good day food-wise so damage limitation as much as anything.

Sounds like a productive start BOOP! What's in the SC for tonight...?

QuimReaper · 15/11/2016 11:06

That is nice of them Beyond, well done!

BitOutOfPractice · 15/11/2016 11:42

Tonight's menu is sticky garlic chicken. Firm family favourite here. Kids will have jackets. We will have...erm...couscous? Wedges? No idea yet! Depends on how many points I have left.

I know I'm using mfp and not doing weight watchers but I was a WWer for many years so I still calories "points" and say things like "oo that's a bit pointy". I know what I mean ok?

Well done beyond. Onwards and downwards

HairsprayBabe · 15/11/2016 12:09

12.11 today, not sure how the hell that happened, might be a sign AF is on her way Angry

Soup for tonight again, herby broccoli and asparagus with parmesan.

Come on 12.9! I haven't seen you in so long

Congrats Beyond not jealous at all

QuimReaper · 15/11/2016 12:50

Ooooh the AF gain is a bitch Hairspray but you do get a nice "whoosh" at the end of it (as long as you haven't fallen prey too badly to the chocolate-and-carb cravings) - hang on in there!

HairsprayBabe · 15/11/2016 12:57

Quim I read that as fallen pregnant then! I hope not! Blush

Im getting pretty good at avoiding crap, Have loads of christmas treats in the house atm and I haven't even thought about eating them, this time last year I had eaten half a bag of honeycomb I bought for my hampers Blush

My self control is definitely improving Shock

BitOutOfPractice · 15/11/2016 14:02

That's brilliant hairspray. I don't snack half as much as I used to

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 15/11/2016 14:13

Hello all!

Have been wondering whether anyone else feels nauseous on a fast day? I think it must be because of my empty stomach, but earlier one of my colleagues was sitting at the desk next to me eating a tuna sandwich (she literally opened up a tin of tuna and spread it on a dry slice of bread - Envy) and I had to walk away because I genuinely thought I would throw up. It was not pleasant. Could it be the reverse of when you feel a bit sick and eat something and it settles your stomach? I am veggie but don't normally react like that to the smell of fish.

Anyway, dinner tonight will be lentil dahl with butternut squash, and naan for DP. Should be nice and warming!

wineusuallyhelps · 15/11/2016 14:21

Hairspray - my self-control is generally improving too! But I have allowed myself a small piece of cake today [GASP]!!

I also have AF and its accompanying water retention. Maybe I'll therefore get a good result on the scales later in the week?!

Anyone done that calculation (think it's called TDEE or something?) where you use a formula to work out how many calories your body needs to function and how much you need to eat to lose weight? Did mine yesterday. It said I needed about 2,100 and I should eat 1,800 to lose weight. Funny, as I'd already identified I need 1,800 by myself - any less and I'd faint from hunger!

BitOutOfPractice · 15/11/2016 14:35

I just worked mine out wine. My TDEE is 1700ish and I should be 20-25% under that, so that's 1275-1360 and I'm currently aiming for 1200 so I'm not too far out

Lubilu28 · 15/11/2016 20:24

FINALLY!! I was seriously about to throw in the towel yesterday I was getting really annoyed about how hard I was working to try and lose weight and lost nothing for 2 weeks. So I step on the scales this morning (I really need to stop weighing myself everyday, I'm becoming obsessed!!) and I've lost 2lbs 👍🏻😅!! So glad I didn't give up yesterday, I swear it's from the help of all u lovely ladies who kept me going :D xxxx

ponygirlcurtis · 15/11/2016 22:52

Hello everyone - I have been logging on to the thread daily but not really keeping track with everyone or updating (sorry), just lost confidence a bit as my news is no different. I am still bouncing around two/three or so pounds. I am the poster-girl for 'eating well below my TDEE on average over the week but it making no difference to my overall weight'. For 10 weeks. My metabolism sucks. I really really just don't lose weight quickly. I could definitely be being more strict with myself but it would only result in small half-pound-per-month losses (from experience of doing Scottish Slimmers). So maintaining for now is my goal.

You are all doing great though! Star

QuimReaper · 15/11/2016 22:52

WAHOOOOOO Lubi you hero! Just goes to show, good behaviour is always rewarded even if the scales desire to be bastards for a while!

Funny about TDEE - I'm pretty sedentary and I would balloon on 1800 p/day. That's about what I have on a blowout day! Goes to show, if only I moved more...
