Raw herrings! They do them like hot dogs in the Netherlands, don't they!

I'm sure I could develop a taste for them, but that's too far for me, especially with me morning coffee Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 10/11/2016 13:18

I'm sorry about the double posts by the way. Blummin phone keeps saying they haven't sent

Howlongtillbedtime · 10/11/2016 13:44

Cauliflower and cashew curry you say Boop ? Could i have the recipe please . I love the slow cooker .

My dh would think was an acceptable breakfast as well and he doesn't even have the Dutchman excuse ( just weird by choice )

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 10/11/2016 14:24

Good ideas, thanks! I had no idea miso soup was so low in calories, will definitely be trying that.

Could I also have the cauliflower and cashew curry recipe please? Think I may have to invest in a slow cooker..

BitOutOfPractice · 10/11/2016 14:37

Here you go. Recipe here

I think I worked it out at about 70 calories. As it has some potato in you font really need rice. It's very filling.

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 10/11/2016 16:05

I just had a salt based accident with my spinach. It's quite nice :)

Bunnyjo · 10/11/2016 16:11

Reading everyone's ideas and updates is very inspiring, well done to all those celebrating weight losses. I haven't weighed myself this month, as I've been manically studying for my masters and my youngest DC also has a vomiting bug Envy, along with another 13 of his classmates and the teacher Shock.

Sending my love and thoughts to you, Kiki, and your mum Flowers

QuimReaper · 10/11/2016 19:22

Looooosaaaahs! Please can I boast about a golden day?

I don't know what kind of energy fairy visited me today but I've walked a snip under 12km and swum...

64 lengths! Shock Grin

(Previous PB 48 for anyone who's lost track Wink)

Hardly eaten a bally thing either, so if it doesn't show on the scales tomorrow I am going to throw all my toys out of the pram and eat worms.

(Or more likely carbs, fat and sugar.)

QuimReaper · 10/11/2016 19:26

Spurious the best Miso in the whole wide world is the Saitaku one (currently on offer on Ocado if you use them) and I tell a lie, each sachet is 27 calories, but I swear it's freakishly filling.

Howlongtillbedtime · 10/11/2016 20:06

Wowzers quim ! That is ridiculous . You are officially the queen of swimming .

And yes tomorrow should be at least 1/2 stone off in one go Grin

Lubilu28 · 10/11/2016 20:59

Good one Quim!! I only managed 40 lengths today!! Aiming to do 64 by the end of the month :D!! i am just trying to get of the sofa to do a davina workout before bed but struggling today get myself motivated to do it, my bed is calling meeee!! X

QuimReaper · 10/11/2016 21:03

Lubi I only managed 34 on Tuesday. I aim for 48 per swim because that's about a mile, and for not-especially-logical reasons I always swim in multiples of 8; but today for some reason I was still raring to go after my 48 so I decided to shoot for 56; then I thought, if I made it 62 I'd make up the 14 I lamed out on before and even out for the week.

Then I had to make it 64 so it was a multiple of 8 Blush

Lubilu28 · 10/11/2016 21:12

An OCD input swimming I love it 😂 I think that's what I need to keep me going!! I could of pushed more today but I wanted to get in the showers before the aqua fit class got out and took over haha x

KikisDeliveryService · 10/11/2016 21:23

Thank you, you lovely lot. We're coming out the other side I think. It's really intensely emotionally and physically draining. I have been crap with food all week but I think I'm emerging out of the stress-fog so hopefully will get out of self destruct mode and back into a bit of looking after me. Why is that so hard? In my rational mind I make plans to eat all manner of (easily available) healthy, nourishing things, but my autopilot has just eaten all the toast and butter. And hot chocolate. My ultimate comfort foods. Oh and chocolate. Luckily it's been too cold to eat ice cream.

I think dieting can take a back seat for now kiki. I hope everything with your mom is on the up now Flowers

Excellent work quim. Step carefully over drains today in case you fall down one Grin

I'm still too chesty (oo er missus!) to run but I have been getting my steps in to feed the Fitbit. In this house the Fitbit commands and I obey.

All my good intentions will evaporate tonight when I go to the pub to watch the England Scotland match!

QuimReaper · 11/11/2016 08:46

I don't even have any good intentions for today - I am going to stay with a friend to cuddle her new daughter and there will be lots of dinner and wine!

I'm going to have a Friday Treat after I've weighed in too, I'm thinking sushi Smile

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 11/11/2016 08:54

The way I view it Kiki - when you're stressed the cortisol will impact weight loss anyway. So you might as well eat whatever you want and get through it, then worry about getting back on track later Flowers

QuimReaper · 11/11/2016 10:26

Being stressed and worried uses heaps of energy Kiki and if you don't fuel yourself properly you'll end up feeling drained, headachey and weepy; it's much more important that you stay sane right now, so I really would try and put your diet from your mind. By all means try and make healthy choices if you have the bandwidth, but please please don't put extra pressure on yourself about what you eat at a time like this; just be kind and gentle with yourself as you would be with a loved one if you were watching them go through a hard time. Flowers

QuimReaper · 11/11/2016 10:32

I'm giving blood later on.

How dreadful is it that it's just occurred to me to try and hold off weighing in so I'm a pint lighter? Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 11/11/2016 10:37

Genius quim! I shall do the same when I next donate!

HairsprayBabe · 11/11/2016 11:06

12.13 today so back to a net loss of 1lb so far this month, I definitely need to not eat any crap this weekend!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 11/11/2016 12:06

Well done on the swim Quim!

Down another pound this morning, so 3lbs so far this month. I am going away for the weekend though so it sure that will help the loss.. I will just have to aim for maintenance calories and hope that I don't gain anything!

KikisDeliveryService · 11/11/2016 12:14

beyond and quim You have have made me cry with your very reasonable logic. I am also about to go out and replenish my chocolate supplies which feels like a priority right now.

However, you made also me lol with talk of weighing after giving blood. Have you considered also having a haircut?!

QuimReaper · 11/11/2016 14:02

Kiki Flowers

I actually made a thread last night asking what there might be in my cupboards that would make me do an emergency poo in time for my weigh-in today - why didn't I just snip my split ends?! I already strip off my shoes, coat, scarf, sunglasses and cardio and pile them up around the scales in boots, maybe I should whip my frock off as well next time Grin

So I didn't give blood because I didn't have breakfast and apparently that's not allowed Sad

BUT I DID BREAK ANOTHER KG BRACKET!! Am 100g lighter than the lightest I've been since I started dieting!

BitOutOfPractice · 11/11/2016 14:32

Hurrah Quim! Well done!
