Just by cutting that snack I have realised that I'm pretty close (if not there) to doing 16:8 fasting :)

stealtheatingtunnocks · 08/11/2016 15:00

Smoking and drinking excellent suggestions for stress management! Or, might just go to the gym tonight.

Appointment was fine, not much of an idea of what it is, but, we know lots of what it isn't, so that's very reassuring. I blame his father and his weird family, full of glitches, the lot of them.

Prawns. Prawns are nice, and no calories at all, well, barely. Am munching on prawns and justifying the cost to myself in that they are cheaper than fags and prosecco.

QuimReaper · 08/11/2016 15:41

stealth prawns are my secret weapon too! Seafood in general really.

On a Fats Day I have a punnet of "Fantail Prawns" from Lidl for my dinner. I'm totally addicted to them, I drizzle them in lemon juice and dip them in Delouis aioli. 132 calories for the lot, plus whatever a teaspoon of mayonnaise comes in at.

BitOutOfPractice · 08/11/2016 17:04

I'd like to record this massive achievement. Coffee break. Delicious Welsh cakes. I took one bite, savoured it, and left the rest. Go BOOP! Cake

wineusuallyhelps · 08/11/2016 17:09

Another instance of someone bringing me freshly baked food...DS brought home flapjack from school. Now, it wouldn't have been very motherly to refuse, would it? Wink

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 08/11/2016 17:41

Wow boop, that is impressive Shock

DoinItFine · 08/11/2016 17:49

Have been waiting all day to find out what "stealth prawns" are Grin

Well done, BOOP.

wine, don't flapjacks count as a health food?

I went for my first run in over a week today. Did some 60 second reps.

Not sure they were noticeably faster than my recovery jog Hmm

But I am officially back on the wagon.

Although I've another work event tonight involving beer and pizza.

Maybe I need to switch to an industry where stealth prawns are the free food of choice. Grin

On my way there now. Will finish too late for forgoing pizza in favour of home food.

Hope this miserable, cold November day isn't making you all reach for the bacon wrapped Toblerones.

BitOutOfPractice · 08/11/2016 18:03

It's like I don't know myself any more stealth

RedAmberGreen1 · 08/11/2016 19:47

Evening all

Mixed week last week. Time of the month, which makes me ravenous for three to four days, plus eating out a few times, including fish and chips on bonfire night - plus having to eat more to prepare for a race on Sunday – means I lost less than a pound.

On the plus side I ran my best 10k time for about three years, so fitness levels are improving and hopefully the weight will follow. Back on the wagon now and hope everyone has a successful week.

QuimReaper · 08/11/2016 20:53

Doin Grin at "stealth prawns" and the bacon-wrapped Toblerone Grin

I'm on a Fast Day and would cheerfully devour such a delicacy!

It really is bleddy freezing tonight, isn't it. I went for a 7km walk and a swim, only managed 34 lengths but felt like I deserved a medal for braving it in this weather!

QuimReaper · 08/11/2016 20:54

Speaking of medals though, that definitely goes to BOOP Shock Star

Hope the drinks 'do is going to plan too, you're so in the zone right now!

vvviola · 08/11/2016 20:56

Well, that fast day didn't go as planned. Did OK until I got home and realised I'd forgotten to pick up my dinner on the way, so had to have what the DC were having - chicken and veg pie (made with light coconut milk instead of cream, so not too bad, but definitely not a fast day meal!)

QuimReaper · 08/11/2016 21:38

Definitely doesn't sound too bad vviola and after having fasted in the runup I bet you still came in at, what, 800kcal?

BitOutOfPractice · 09/11/2016 00:35

Well. Put it this way. I ended up on stage, playing the bongos for a German oopmpah band. You decide

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 09/11/2016 06:47

Morning! Am down 2lbs since last Wednesday now, which fits my target of 1-2lbs a week.

Also, the US election results coming in have put me right off my porridge, so I guess that is calorie saving right there Hmm

QuimReaper · 09/11/2016 09:28

BOOP I didn't think anything could make me smile this morning, much less roar with laughter!

Grin Grin Grin Grin

KikisDeliveryService · 09/11/2016 09:29

Things aren't going well here. The hospitalised mum situation has led me to either not eat or to anaesthetise with bread products. Still ongoing and harrowing so may not post much at the moment. Good luck to all you mo-slenderers. Flowers

Brilliant work Spuriouser (and I love your name Grin )

QuimReaper · 09/11/2016 10:37

Bleurgh, I look like a whale today.

Why is it that one fast day doesn't instantly counteract 5 days "off"? It's not FAIR.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 09/11/2016 10:48

Thanks Quim!

Sorry to hear that your mum is still so unwell Kiki, I'm sure sticking to a diet is the last thing on your mind at the moment. I hope things improve for her soon Flowers

BitOutOfPractice · 09/11/2016 10:58

Morning

Great loss spuriouser!

Quim you look splendid from where I'm standing

QuimReaper · 09/11/2016 11:24

You're clearly still pissed BOOP Grin

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 09/11/2016 11:29

Kiki Flowers

QuimReaper · 09/11/2016 13:03

So sorry Kiki your post got swallowed between two of mine and I missed it - thinking of you and your mum Flowers

Forget the diet for now, you need to keep your strength up so eat anything that you can face, even if it's just ice cream.

BitOutOfPractice · 09/11/2016 18:27

Oh kiki I'm sorry I missed your post too. Your poor mom Sad

Sending you strength to deal with what lies ahead
