Not gained this weekend so still 12.12 which is good considering all i ate on saturday was dry carbs, not been sick just feel constantly pukey, hopefully i get over it soon as I cant face salad and yoghurt when I feel like this!

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 07/11/2016 08:22

I'm down 7lbs since I started on 31/10 - but as this is November only, for the sake of this thread it's only 5.8lbs

I don't feel any thinner yet, but I do feel a lot less bloated :)

KikisDeliveryService · 07/11/2016 09:14

stealth I so agree with you about non-scale victories.

My clean jeans were not a struggle to put on this morning so I'll take that as my NSV for the day! My weekday abstinence is paying off I think and despite a relaxed weekend foodwise I am at ok levels on the scale. Not actually lost anything of course but I haven't gone back to square 1 either.

Back on the weekday wagon.

May I join?

I lost 5lbs when I jumped on the scales last Monday. I was extremely chuffed (although I had started 5k and quit snacking!) And for some utterly stupid reason this wasn't enough to motivate me to continue and I've had a fair bit of junk and a huge amount of carb the week just gone!

I wearily stepped onto the scales this morning and I've gained only one pound so I'm seeing this as my second chance!

I'm 5"10 and currently at 12st 1lb and very eager to get into the 11st range, ideally 11st 0lbs as my first milestone!

So long 7lbs this month would be fabulous!

I've got lots of healthy but seemingly delicious meals planned for the week which I've copied from BBC Good Food so I'm looking forward to those!

Here's to a fresh week!

QuimReaper · 07/11/2016 11:27

This thread is moving much faster than the last one, I've fallen behind!

DH remembered yesterday that we have plans tonight, so it's my first non-fasting Monday I can remember! Bit annoyed as I had intended a 4-day blitz this week to kick this KG bracket, but never mind: will do Tues-Thurs and weigh in on Friday.

Celebrated a non-fasting Monday with two crumpets. Not a great start to the week but golly, I haven't had crumpets in yonks, they're so good! Grin

QuimReaper · 07/11/2016 11:33

wine I'm down to the last little bit too and it's really hard. As Beyond says usually eating habits are more or less there, so I find the 5:2 is the only thing that works.

Completely agree with you on alcohol and belly fat too!

BOOP did you really eat almost 8,000 calories? Grin

stealtheatingtunnocks · 07/11/2016 11:43

8000 calories? Easy. Respect, Boop.

Lots of people sounding down about the weekend...pep talk:

thin people eat treats at weekends. It's normal to have a splurge every now and then. It's not good to be controlled all of the time because it's not sustainable. The trick that I've never quite mastered is not to think "feck it, I can't do this, may as well just eat" and stick to making good choices for the next 5 days instead.

We can all do it.

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 07/11/2016 13:01

I found a hm soup in the freezer from last time I tried to address my weight, so having that for lunch Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 07/11/2016 13:43

No Quim not really but it must've been 3000 easy.

I'm back on it now but the scales have shown my weekend blow out up in stark stark numbers Sad

Away at a conference this week. Avoiding the evening boozing will be the trick for me. I already have my packed breakfast and lunch for the train tomorrow all planned

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 07/11/2016 14:14

My soup was nice, even if it was rather old Grin shame there isn't any more left really. Will have to get on a soup making mission...

DoinItFine · 07/11/2016 15:34

Hi everyone,

I had a really busy weekend. Also a successful one in professional terms, if not in weight loss terms.

I drank a lot, ate a lot of junk food and was just generally not eating like a thin person at all.

Glad the soup was nice, Beyond. I wish I liked soup more than I do. DD1 loves it, so I sometimes make some for her. I really only like soup I've made myself and it's such a faff.

Enjoy the conference, BOOP.

Those kinds of events are my weak spot. I do so much better at home where I have more control over what and when I eat. But they are fun and sometimes watching what you eat isn't the most important thing.

You asked how my Dad was pages back. He's well. This treatment seems to be light on side effects. Every fortnight seems to be different. But at the moment he's in good form, so that's the main thing.

BitOutOfPractice · 07/11/2016 16:34

Oh Doin I'm so glad he's bearing up Flowers

Good on you for your professional success. I'm hoping to network my arse off

Just split a kit Kat chunky with the bf. God it was good and I want more now

DoinItFine · 07/11/2016 16:38

Chunky KitKats have ruined me for normal KitKats now.

They're just not chunky enough.

MountainDweller · 07/11/2016 17:46

Thanks stealth for making me feel better about the weekend!

I've officially lost 1.1 kg this week! Around 2 pounds for the 6 days of Mo-slender I guess so I am on track for 7lbs by end of the month. I have lost 2.2kg overall in 2 weeks. Not miraculous but I'm happy about the loss and happy that I've stuck at it reasonably well for 2 weeks!

Soup is a good idea... I'm sure I also have some ancient portions in the freezer.

vvviola · 07/11/2016 20:19

Well the weekend was a bit of a disaster and today wasn't much better lovely staff member baked for us, and she is very very good at baking. BUT, I have my soup ready for tomorrow and I'm all geared up for a fast day.

I haven't gone near a scales, and won't until I get two solid fast days under my belt.

BitOutOfPractice · 08/11/2016 07:30

Good morning mo- slenderites!

Off to a conference today. Tonight there will be welcome drinks. And a big dinner. And then a retreat to the bar. My plan is to not have a drink. This will be difficult as a. I'll be stressed by then b. I love boozing c. There'll be loads of people saying "ah come on BOOP, just have one". So it'll be a challenge.

I hope that by putting it here I'll be forced to carry out my plan.

Howlongtillbedtime · 08/11/2016 07:44

Good morning all .

First weigh in of the month and I have lost 3 pounds ! 2 more to go and I will be under 13 which will make me very happy .

Well done everyone .

I am not sure how I have managed it this week as I have had a few dodgy days which I thought had ruined it but I guess my idea of eating too much is very different now to what it was .

Good luck all !

wineusuallyhelps · 08/11/2016 07:52

Ooh boop what temptation!! Hope you enjoy it. HowLong - well done!

How often are we weighing ourselves? Are there any rules on this thread? Scales say I've lost a pound since Saturday but I'm guessing with fluctuations, a weekly weigh-in would be more reliable? Sorry if this is a stupid question - I'm new to 'group dieting'Blush

I resisted all treats yesterday until my friend brought me a cheese scone that she'd baked and it was still warm!!!

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 08/11/2016 07:53

BOOP, if they are that encourage-y and your willpower is low, drink coke/lemonade/tonic water and tell them there is a spirit in it?

Howlongtillbedtime · 08/11/2016 07:56

I weigh more than is good for me wine but I only log it once a week because of fluctuations . But everyone is different , some weigh every day and others ignore the scales completely and rely on how they look /feel .

It would take a will of iron to resist a warm cheese scone , yum .

Howlongtillbedtime · 08/11/2016 07:59

Boop I would drink but have vodka lime and soda in a tall glassbut not so many that it makes me want to eat crisps and head to the kebab shop Grin

Good luck with it . Night's like that are a dread on a diet especially because everyone else will be in free booze mode .

fishyfishyfishfish · 08/11/2016 08:02

Morning! Weekly weigh in this morning and I've lost 1lb! Not loads but better than I thought, I expected to be the same as last week. I'm not 9st 9lb. Food wise started off the week well but pretty much ate normally last few days. So not bad overall! Going to try and push myself a bit more this week.

BitOutOfPractice · 08/11/2016 08:03

Beyond then they'll just go to the bar and buy me another with a tot in!

I'm just going to say "I'm not drinking tonight. I have a big day tomorrow" and rely on their good will Grin

Wine and how those are great losses. Well done!

In answer to how often do you weigh yourself: every day when I'm in the zone, never when I'm not

MumboNumber5 · 08/11/2016 08:08

1.5 lb down (I think - our crappy scales show a different reading depending where you put them!).

stealtheatingtunnocks · 08/11/2016 08:48

NSV - my engagement ring is swivelling on my finger. It used to do that, was ever so slightly too big - so, my fingers must be less fat.

And, my resting pulse rate is down from 90 to 70. That's really encouraging, so will make time for the gym tonight.

Can't go the rest of the week, am at a conference - but, I'll take my gym stuff and go for walks/do some stuff in the room.

Am motivated though, I ate 3 spoons of nutella/peanut butter as stress management last night
