The last thread inspired us to shift the pounds so let's kick October's butt too!

They could have called it

Eat an Umlimited Volume

or

Trough to Your Heart's Content

or

Stop When Full

But nooooooooooooooooo

All You Can Eat sounds like a challenge because it IS a challenge.

Winners see that!

My nemesis is kids' party buffets. The food is all do deceptively small!

leesmum · 05/10/2016 22:12

Another good day for me, I've been very strict and had lots of green tea too, it really does suppress your appetite....takes a few cups to get used to it but I've been drinking it for a while and am used to it now!

BitOutOfPractice · 05/10/2016 22:16

I'm at 1205 calories and around 10K steps. So I'm quite pleased with that

I've lost one pound so far...12st13 today.

Did a bunch of low carb batch cooking today and put it in the freezer. Have been experimenting recently and keeping notes of what does/doesn't work.

I'm sure if I shifted my backside off the couch, I could lose more...

i've set up my laptop so I can watch netflix on the big tv screen whilst I'm ironing/on my step machine.

Could still get down to 11st for Christmas.

ChickenVindaloo · 05/10/2016 22:41

I've caught up reading the thread now. Off to look for this pre-diabetes prog.

Did anyone see that Obesity: the post mortem where they literally cut open a fat woman? Proper scary. (she was dead, obv!)

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 06/10/2016 07:55

Three quarters of a pound off this week. It's something!

MsHeffalump · 06/10/2016 08:37

Well done, Ginger! It's a damned sight better than gaining three quarters of a pound.

Two pounds down so far this week, but it's just recovering from two weeks in a hormonally induced chocolate coma so effectively Week 1 again. In five pounds I will no longer qualify for bariatric surgery on the NHS!

Can I join the 16:8 appreciation club? It works a treat once you're into the swing of it. Which I haven't been for the past two years. Whoops.

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 06/10/2016 09:02

It's good having that cut off point in the evening where you know you can't snack. Not that it helped me much on Friday. Or Saturday. Or Monday. But when I do it definitely helps enormously!

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 06/10/2016 09:04

That's a brilliant milestone MsHeffalump

Howlongtillbedtime · 06/10/2016 09:08

3/4 pound off is marvellous and much better than 3/4 pound on which would make you 1 1/2 pounds heavier than you are now .

So that's good Grin

plumstone · 06/10/2016 09:12

Morning all, Yesterday ended up being good (18000 steps and no thats not a typo!!!) got off at the wrong tube stop so walked the difference - way too much!! However did feel slightly virtuous by the time I got home!!!

Muffin recipe is:
8 eggs beaten
1 red pepper - chopped into small dice
can sweet corn
8 pieces of frozen spinach - defrosted
12 slices of ham
few mushrooms sliced
bag mozzarella cheese - grated
1 12 space muffin tray sprayed with olive oil
Set oven to 200 degrees

line each muffin space with a slice of ham
divide the spinach, peppers and sweetcorn between each one
add two thirds of the grated cheese into the beaten egg mixture
season - I use, italian herbs, some garlic powder, s&p
Pour into each muffin space - carefully - I have a tendency to spill
top with rest of grated cheese and a couple of sliced mushrooms
bake for 20-25 mins
remove from oven - leave to cool
Remove each muffin from tray and let go stone cold
Makes 12 and they keep in a plastic box in the fridge for 5-6 days (i make at weekend and have two every day for brunch

They are just the veggies I had to hand - have been known to use red onion, and finely cut courgettes and shredded Brussel sprouts!!

Have a great day everyone!!!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 06/10/2016 09:54

Checking in! Those muffins sound yummy, plumstone. Might have a bash at them at the weekend.

I did a half-hearted fast day on Tues (ate dinner, was still starving, ate a little bit of bread and butter, cracked, incited DH to make Welsh cakes and scoffed heaps) and lost 2lbs but I imagine it's all back on now. I have therefore switched to the No S Diet and am merrily eating 3 meals a day and not snacking except at weekends and special days (such as tomorrow, which is my birthday). I may not manage 7lbs off in a month because this is supposed to be slow, but it's also supposed to retrain you in healthy eating habits and I think I need that most of all. And I am going to encourage inch-loss by starting my new Jillian Michaels DVD.

plumstone · 06/10/2016 10:19

They are lush Too!!

Happy Birthday for tomorrow - remember calories eaten on ones birthday never matter, never count, and never ever end up as fat!!!!!

Helloheyhi · 06/10/2016 10:42

Happy birthday for tomorrow TEIC hope you have a fantastic birthday and well done to all the losers!

DoinItFine · 06/10/2016 11:49

No loss again this week, but given last weekend's eating and drinking extravaganza, I'm OK with that.

I will need to dust off my 30 Day Shred DVD now that the venings are drawing in. We can be HIIT buddies, TooExtra 🏋

BitOutOfPractice · 06/10/2016 12:32

I've just bought some new scales. I'm about to try them out. If they weigh me heavier I'm throwing them out of the window

OP posts:
DoinItFine · 06/10/2016 12:35

That's fair.

plumstone · 06/10/2016 12:43

Hi Bit - obvious reaction - weird that anyone may think otherwise!

BitOutOfPractice · 06/10/2016 12:56

4 pounds heavier Angry

Not. Happy

OP posts:
plumstone · 06/10/2016 13:18

Ah but if you weigh yourself now with clothes on and food inside you will be heavier - if you weighed yourself tomorrow first thing, naked, after the loo and exhaling you will be lighter!!!

DoinItFine · 06/10/2016 13:31

You can't try scales past midday.

It's like feeding a mogwai after midnight.

BitOutOfPractice · 06/10/2016 13:44

I knew you lot would have the answer Grin

Who says I didn't get naked? Wink

I've adjusted my starting weight up by 4lbs so I've still got the same loss but I'm not very happy about it.

NightWanderer · 06/10/2016 14:17

I ran/jogged 4km today. It felt good. I've been pretty good and am resisting the biscuits in the cupboard from today's online shop.

I used to have super fancy scales that told you your body fat. I prefer the simple ones I have now.
