The last thread inspired us to shift the pounds so let's kick October's butt too!

Good work losers! 5lb/6lbs is heavy! And a huge quantity if you imagine them as bags of sugar. I don't allow an official Monday weigh in as weekends are not strict at all so probably at my heaviest today.

Despite it being sugar-fest Halloween day I will not be touching the sweets as am back on my week-day wagon. I did eat bread and a bit of sugar over the weekend, but not loads by any means so I feel like just saying no in the week really helps me moderate at the weekends.

And on that basis my thread title idea is "Say No(vember) to junk and Yes to jumping: eat less move more in the lose 7lbs this month challenge". It lacks the brevity of Offtober though.

Side note: did anyone else instantly start doing pelvic floor clenches at the word 'jumping'?!

DoinItFine · 31/10/2016 09:14

No, but I did at the words "pelvic floor" Grin

Stay gold, ponygirl - onwards and downwards! :)

Wowzers BOOP 6lbs! Amazing!

QuimReaper · 31/10/2016 09:21

Howlong i can of course totally sympathise over that pound Grin 5lbs is terrific though, well done!

BitOutOfPractice · 31/10/2016 09:24

Lovely to catch-up on these posts, everyone has done so well. Congratulations on losing 6lb, Boop. And a 11Km run, Doin?! That's seriously good going!

I've done my final weigh-in for October and I am delighted! My start weight was 13st 5.5lb and I weighed 12st 8.5lb this morning, making it 11lb for the month. In just over 2 months I have lost 23.5lb! I still have a very long way to go, but if I can get somewhere close to 12st by the end of November, I will be very happy indeed.

Bunnyjo · 31/10/2016 09:39

Edited to add: I've actually lost 27.5lb, not 23.5lb! No idea where 23.5lb came from Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 31/10/2016 09:46

That's a brilliant resultBunny. I think you win Grin

My total weight loss is now 33.2lbs. But that's since May - it's been slow going!

QuimReaper · 31/10/2016 10:34

WOW Bunny that's insane, bloody well done!

I like Say-No-vember. Or GOGOGOvember!

QuimReaper · 31/10/2016 10:36

I didn't know you'd lost as much as that BOOP you're a star. What's that, like 2.5 stone?!

BitOutOfPractice · 31/10/2016 11:01

Nearly quim. But I still have nearly 1.5 stone to go to a healthy BMI so I'm still rather porky

Bunny that's amazing ! Any tips ? I could do with all the help I can get .

I am determined to get to 12 something in the next 2 weeks . That would be 5 pounds so I really need to buck up . I am fine in the week and even on a weekend if I am at home with the family . But we keep having people to stay or visiting others and that buggers me up .

I need to just admit to people that I am eating healthier and say no thank you to crisps and a fry up .

On a happier note someone told me I had lost loads of weight yesterday so that cheered me up .

I am going to have a look at the other hairy bikers books when I get home . Thanks for the tip Boop. Not sure I will wait till Christmas though impatient

Howlongtillbedtime · 31/10/2016 12:04

What about NOmember alone , all wanting to lose 7 pounds this month are welcome .

Not sure about the rest of the title but I liked the NOmember bit.

QuimReaper · 31/10/2016 12:31

Why -member? I fear I am missing the pun!

I am starving today, I don't know why, I ate like a horse yesterday, it should have been enough to keep me going for days...

Bunnyjo · 31/10/2016 13:04

Thanks all! I'm very much an 'all or nothing' person. For me, certainly at the moment, I cannot have the odd day off the wagon - it wouldn't be just the one day and I know I would literally end up 2st heavier in the time it's taken me to lose the weight in the first place.

As such, I've had no crisps, biscuits, chocolate or alcohol since the end of August. I did have 7 fruit pastilles on my birthday, but that's the only confectionery so far to pass my lips in the last two months! I am using MFP to log my food and drink intake and I use my Fitbit to monitor any activity. I log my food and drink properly and it is surprising to see how many calories a few teas/coffees a day adds up to. I aim to stay under 1200 calories, do around 15-20K steps per day and I also do the c25k when my dodgy knee allows.

My DH is also losing weight; he's going about it in a much more relaxed fashion in terms of food, but really pushing it at the gym - something I cannot do thanks to a long standing knee injury. I know my way of doing it isn't for everyone, but it's the way that seems to work for me.

BitOutOfPractice · 31/10/2016 14:20

That is amazing self control bunny

Impressive stuff Bunny and you boop, that's a fantastic loss and continued keeping it off and losing more. Ah, I like this thread so much!

I'm happy to start up a November one unless someone else would like to? Maybe it'll motivate me to do better. I was not happy with my post-weekend unofficial weigh in at all.

QuimReaper · 31/10/2016 15:56

Arrrrgh I am having a bad case of the Can't Be Bothereds. Need to get my ass to the swimming pool, somebody give me a slap and don't let me flake out!

ponygirlcurtis · 31/10/2016 16:30

Stay gold, ponygirl Thanks Doin - always makes me smile when someone says that to me. Wink

Who is going to start our new shiny thread then?

BitOutOfPractice · 31/10/2016 17:39

the BF has suggested "MoSlender" for the thread title

QuimReaper · 31/10/2016 18:23

Thank you BOOP Grin

I did go! I had no energy whatsoever though and only managed 30 very slow lengths Sad Also slouched home like I was sleepwalking and stopped off for BabyBels because I was so hungry. Blaaaaaargh!

BitOutOfPractice · 31/10/2016 19:43

Well done quim
