"THE WAY to lose weight is eating little and often"

Wow.

You are so lucky to work with a weight loss guru.

Howlongtillbedtime · 05/10/2016 08:18

Good morning everyone . Can I join ?

I have been doing ww online for 3 weeks and have lost 11 pounds so far . The ww threads are quiet so would be good to have some support here .

All hints and tips very appreciated . I normally manage a couple of weeks fine and then lose motivation . I am determined to stay on track this time .

DoinItFine · 05/10/2016 08:20

Welcome Howlong :)

11lbs in 3 weeks is a lot. Well done!

But don't put pressure on yourself to sustain that. Slow and steady etc Grin

Lulooo · 05/10/2016 08:22

Hi all. Marking my place as I really need to get my fat arse moving. And smaller.

Howlongtillbedtime · 05/10/2016 08:27

Thanks doin I have only lost 1 pound this wk and that is ok too . As long as they are not going up then I am pretty pleased .

The first week I lost 8 pounds which is bonkers and mostly fluud so it is steadier now .

BitOutOfPractice · 05/10/2016 08:36

Hello and welcome how and luloo

How are we all this morning. I have my nice e coming for tea tonight and I'm cooking her favourite curry which is quite high calorie (damn coconut milk!) so I've logged that on MFP and I'm working backwards from there today

DoinItFine · 05/10/2016 09:05

Maybe your niece could bring some nice e's?

Might suppress your appetite a bit for that curry Wink

Helloheyhi · 05/10/2016 09:39

Grin DIT
and thanks again for your sympathies Flowers
Thank you raised .
You just reminded me that I have a cauliflower that needs using! I guess a few slices of bread a week should be okay?

cheese have you looked into things like olives, cheese, oatcakes, cooked prawns, chicken slices, seeds, sugar snap peas etc. instead when you are tired and want to reach for the sweet stuffs?.

Welcome Long & Lu Flowers

Have a good day all.

plumstone · 05/10/2016 09:51

Quick carb free energy loaded snack I love is half an avocado or some smoked salmon!!!

Anything protein will help regulate blood sugar and as it takes longer to digest will keep you full longer than sweeties!!

Helloheyhi · 05/10/2016 09:52

That's true Plum also adding eggs to that list.

BitOutOfPractice · 05/10/2016 10:02

I've just had bacon, egg, mushrooms and tomatoes for breakfast

I often have omelette and salmon, tastes lovely and so virtuous! Aldi do amazing ready to eat salmon fillets, 2 for £2.99.

plumstone · 05/10/2016 10:45

Love a spinach and salmon omelette with feta for a weekend brunch - in ice all eggs are amazing. Just had two ham and egg muffins (carb free) for brunch today - are them so quickly that I looked around for one and the little box was empty - Note to self - eat slowly and mindfully!!

BitOutOfPractice · 05/10/2016 10:59

plum I am terrible for eating too quickly and while I'm doing something else so I don't even notice I've eaten it

OP posts:
plumstone · 05/10/2016 11:16

Bit - I am trying to improve this - when I am at home or in the office, eat from a plate, use cutlery and sit down. Eat two thirds and then wait, if full throw rest away if not finish - works better when not rushing around at work - but its definitely the way forward at home - stopped me slumping like a bag of spuds in front of TV on sofa - now its in the kitchen with the table set.

This morning at work has been a bit mental so threw them down my throat with no thought process at all - consequently I could eat another two and be oK with it - which is how I got to my biggest size!!!\

TheresAlwaysTimeForTea · 05/10/2016 11:35

Well how's everyone getting on? I've had a mixed start tbh - I was doing good with healthy breakfasts and homemade soup for lunch but then I went out for dinner last night (several wines) and then I've got pizza express plans for Friday! Hopefully if I try to behave the majority of the time that will be a shove in the right direction.

DoinItFine · 05/10/2016 12:40

Pizza Express is easy - go for the Leggera. :)

I might be doing the same on Friday.

VulvaInLaw · 05/10/2016 12:41

plum what's the recipe for the carb free han and egg muffins please?

Rshard · 05/10/2016 12:48

I'd be interested in the recipe too please

TheresAlwaysTimeForTea · 05/10/2016 13:02

Cheers Doin it's a pizza express brunch so all you can eat and drink for a fixed price - I'll have to just really limit myself.

How much are you guys trying to lose overall?

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 05/10/2016 13:24

Very top of the healthy BMI range for my height is about 11st. I've not been that weight since I was 15! I'd be happy with anything in the 11s, and managing to stay there consistently!

DoinItFine · 05/10/2016 13:37

Oh no, do you have to go for tge all you can eat option?

That is the enemy of moderation.

BitOutOfPractice · 05/10/2016 15:31

Eek! All you can eat? I always see that as a personal challenge! Is salad included?

I'm only just having lunch. Leftover cauliflower and cashew curry from last night

OP posts:
DoinItFine · 05/10/2016 16:07

All You Can Eat is definitely a challenge.
