The last thread inspired us to shift the pounds so let's kick October's butt too!

Morning and well done on the losses

I've lost another pound. That's 2 so far in October. I'm now back below my lowest weight this year although the bastard +4lb scales are showing me heavier Angry

Alwaystime that made me laugh and it's exactly the kind of thing I'd do. Congratulate myself on my restraint and then spectacularly blow it Grin

Thanks for the reality check about 16:8 .

Think I will stick to weightwatchers for now , at least while it's still working .

We are going out today to a pub that does amazing stonebake pizza ! I am going to have to avoid it . I won't be able to just have a slice of two so will just avoid altogether .
I will have a salad and smile through the tears Grin

Off to the gym in a bit .

Well done all on the losses . Sorry about your evil bastard scales Bit

ChickenVindaloo · 08/10/2016 11:25

I've gone back up 2lbs in one day. I think that's because I'd been lo-carbing but there were lentils in that soup I had yesterday.

Overall though still down at least 2lbs so far this month.

ponygirlcurtis · 08/10/2016 11:38

Morning all. Happy weekend! Grin

Bit of a funny week here, both weight-wise and otherwise. I shall join you on the scales Angry BOOP as mine have told me I had gained 2lbs and also lost a half lb. Funny how your perceptions change isn't it, the higher number is one I could only dream of for the last three/four years and now I get annoyed when I see it!

I need to get myself moving, slow start to the day. I have dress shopping to do and the gym to go to, and then I am off to a ceilidh tonight! No idea what to wear but I am hoping that the gym and ceilidh dancing will cancel out the inevitable booze calories. I am planning on eating before I go to avoid too much buffet damage though.

BitOutOfPractice · 08/10/2016 11:43

Ooo I've never been to a ceilidh pony. I'd love to though.

Vindaloo those fluctuations can mess with your head can't they ?

We've just had fry up now off to the gym. We are going out tonight so I've just volunteered to drive

I love ceilidh dances! If you haven't been to one before then you'll want to wear whatever feels good to twirl in and comfy shoes. Strippin' the willow is an excellent calorie burner if it's a rowdy bunch (but can leave interesting bruises).

Vindaloo, lentil soup always gives me a gain on the scales, probably the amount of salt I add to it though... (I'll easily put on 3lbs with a small Chinese takeaway just from the sodium).

Official weigh in today: down 1.2lbs this week. Happy with this as I calculated that I want to lose an average of 1.2 per week up to Christmas. Plus I'd put on 1.8 lbs over last weekend (too much salt and big portions) so I'm down almost 3lbs from Monday. Did 5:2 for two days and loads of water to counter all that sodium (apologies to my poor kidneys).

ChickenVindaloo · 08/10/2016 12:39

Hello all,

Yeah, it's a bugger the weight fluctuations but I graph my weight on my fitbit app and try and LITERALLY look at the bigger picture, ie I'm down 1.5 stone from this time last year.

Have a good weekend everyone!

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 08/10/2016 16:06

I'm off to a ceilidh in a couple of weeks, can't wait!

For today though, I have discovered gin. This could be a disaster!

ponygirlcurtis · 08/10/2016 17:54

Totally unsuccessful shopping trip, but did walk loads and went to the gym as well.

Ginger, gin and slimline tonic is very low in calories compared to other alcohol, if that helps! Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 08/10/2016 19:40

Just back from the gym. Ran on the treadmill then thought "I know, I'll go in the spa".

Let me tell you, the combination of a slightly too small swimming costume, a very sweaty body, and a frozen shoulder is not a fun time of a Saturday night Confused

BitOutOfPractice · 08/10/2016 20:17

Pony what kind of frock are you looking for? I love dress shopping

NightWanderer · 09/10/2016 06:32

I've been awful these past few days. Too many biscuits, and a multipack of sweets. Blush

On the plus side I weighed myself this morning and I lost another half a kilo, so that's a kilo off this week, which I'm extremely pleased with. W

MsMermaid · 09/10/2016 08:42

2lbs off here today. I'm happy with that. Of to the gym now, I'm booked in for 2 classes this morning. Then this afternoon I'm taking dd2 out for a walk with friends, so I should get a decent number of steps done.

BitOutOfPractice · 09/10/2016 13:12

We are all a frenzy of activity! I'm also just back from a long walk. Going swimming later too

I am joining a little late. 5ft 1.5 was 13 st 2.5 after our July holiday, down to 12st 6 last week but was 12st 9 yesterday (hope just a temporary blip). I use Mfp during the week and I jog and the shred but not every day. Weekends I relax but try not to go mad. I would like to be closer to 11st 7 by Christmas and aiming to eventually get to 9st 7. Could take a while!

leesmum · 10/10/2016 07:14

Well my No booze No crap weekend has paid off....4lb down!! I just need to keep it up, have a great day ladies 👍

Stellar67 · 10/10/2016 07:35

Well done Lees! I wish I'd read this the other day. Next weekend I think I'll have a no crap weekend.

Howlongtillbedtime · 10/10/2016 07:53

Well done lees a brilliant loss . The booze is something I struggle with on a weekend for sure .

leesmum · 10/10/2016 08:14

To be honest I only have one bottle of white wine over Fri/Sat night but then I start snacking and picking at things....and then I think I'll eat everything because I have already blown it! I had some slimline tonic in a wine glass and it was really nice Smile

plumstone · 10/10/2016 09:11

Morning all - well weekend was OK - large bowl of Carbonara while out for lunch on Saturday and then popcorn at the cinema - consequently no dinner for me - over the last 6 months have come to realise that if I am not hungry then its Ok not to eat. Yesterday spent cooking for the week and obviously tasting everything. so the only actual meal was dinner which was fried mushrooms with philly and mozzarella mixed through it - carb free and fab - topped with grilled salmon - bit random but needed using up!!

Hope everyones' monday is starting well!!

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 10/10/2016 10:25

I think I inhaled about 8000 calories this weekend...

BitOutOfPractice · 10/10/2016 10:46

That makes it sound like you were on the cocaine ginger Wink

OP posts:
QuimReaper · 10/10/2016 11:46

Phewf, I've missed so much - been away for a few days being a friend's bridesmaid, and existed exclusively on Brie and wine since Thursday! Had a couple of victories: only nibbled at my pudding, had a tiny dinner on Friday night... But really, I shudder to think what damage I'd see if I stepped on the scale...

BUT never mind, it was an awesome time Grin

Last Tuesday I got on the scale after having eaten hardly anything for something like 42 hours, and I'd gained Confused Sad Trying to put that behind me as a random fluctuation and focus on this week... Will fast and swim today and tomorrow, but out on Wednesday and Thurs, so will have to try and orchestrate us towards the least-bad options!

QuimReaper · 10/10/2016 11:47

BOOP I was going to say the same thing Grin

QuimReaper · 10/10/2016 11:57

Cocaine would be a much better vice weight-wise than wine and pizza Grin
