Congratulations Sugar that's amazing! You must feel great about yourself right now and rightly so!

Sugarandsalt · 05/10/2016 11:15

I love looking at food pictures! I love cooking but I don't post myself!

What's on everyone's menu tonight? Im making a modified version of this. Modified in that I'm making a little less. Also less of some spices and adding onions. Ella seems to have some strange dislike of onions which is why she needs to add so much flavour from elsewhere!

Hopefully · 05/10/2016 11:49

Sugar that's brilliant, well done!

I think dinner will be something egg based tonight - we have 2-3 super cheapie meals a week since I had to start paying for DS1's school lunches, so have either eggs or homemade baked beans/tomato soup, or very occasionally pasta, but it makes me so bloated I hardly ever cook it.

Have been tidying today, which had the double benefit of nicer house and keeping me busy so I'm not constantly dipping into the kitchen for snacks.

Hopefully · 05/10/2016 11:49

Has, not had!

DawheadAwgusEeentock · 05/10/2016 12:17

Wow running that's amazing loss so far well done!

So the name Sesame Grin and sugar hehe Wink. Essay warning: I started out posting on Craicnet and some of the v clever Irish ladies on there had phoentic versions of Irish NNs. So I was trying to be clever and do the same even though it's turned out v weird. It's supposed to translate as forty and fabulous (opposite of how I was feeling obvs) although it's a struggle to find a word in Irish for fabulous! With the correct Irish spelling it would be "daichead agus iontach", but I thought it would be a bit mean to expect anyone to pronounce that - and there was always a risk that I might be called something very rude Wink.

Well done on the class Not and the pre-class resistance! Aw that's depressing about the FitBit but could you stick it out and ask Santy for a swizzy new one Wink. And well done on the loss Star. I go for Wed weigh-ins so that if I have a bad w/end I get a day or two to try to repair the damage before I step on the scales. But by the same token, if I get a bad result I'm not as likely to pig out straight away on a Weds/Thurs.

spud, cora, made and sausage those were great cal totals yesterday. And spud wow 2lbs is a great incentive - well done Star.

bath well done on resisting the gin and a brilliant cal total as well!

April completely agree on wishing we could control where we lose weight. I could do with some more off my chin alright, but then I want it all off my tummy, bum and thighs please.

Scribble that's great progress - well done on so much healthy stuff!

Aw Hopefully as you're at maintenance levels that's still a great achievement and I think we all need a few off days now and again. Cal counting works but it can definitely be boring and wearying some times. And you're still losing so that's the main thing!

Sugar well done on the 11s Star Star Star! 4st is fantastic!!! Wow that's just so inspiring and brilliant. You definitely deserve a reward and you should be so proud of yourself Flowers.

So, good news on the scales today yippee - down 0.9kg ~2lbs to 69.7kg which means I'm out of the 70kgs!! Also, just scraping into the 10s in stones, but only a few ounces below 11st, so won't celebrate that properly until I keep it off for another week. I am the lowest I've been this year though yay.

Dinner tonight is the hairy bikers chicken cordon bleu again with parsnip mash - comes to about 550. We're v boring with our food - reckon we have about 6/7 regular dinners that we just keep rotating sigh.

Coming in at 1030 today without biccies/snacks so will see how I get on in the next few hours....

imwithspud · 05/10/2016 12:44

Home made lasagne for us tonight with cheesy garlic bread. I've entered the recipe into MFP and as expected It's quite a calorific meal, so I'm trying to abstain from eating anything now until dinner. Had tomato soup with some bread & butter this morning. The soup is a bit watery for some reason though which I'm not happy about as it wasn't like that last time I made it, think I used too much stock. Feeling a bit peckish now but will try and just drink lots and keep busy for the afternoon to stave off cravings.

imwithspud · 05/10/2016 12:45

Thanks for all the congratulationsFlowers Friday will be the true test. Fingers crossed!

coragreta · 05/10/2016 13:05

Well done everyone. All your meals sound amazing. I really want avocado tonight but it's so calorific. I'm online for 1247 including a 1/4 avocado! More calories than 2 cubes of chocolate.

MustBeThin · 05/10/2016 13:59

4 stone Sugar Star Well done that's bloody fantastic. Grin Well done on the losses everyone.

Can I come to yours for tea Spud lasagne and garlic bread is my fave 😍

I'm having chilli and rice for tea, no garlic bread with it Sad I've not made any GB since January, had it a few times at restaurants though.

MustBeThin · 05/10/2016 13:59

Oh and I'm still 10st 6.

imwithspud · 05/10/2016 14:13

Must I'm so excited to have it! I haven't made lasagne in ages as it's quite faffy and I usually end up just doing spag Bol instead.

madein1995 · 05/10/2016 14:15

Wow sugar that's amazing, well done! Well done to you too not

Been an ok day so far - started v. healthy with porridge, blueberries, strawberries and tea, lunch was a chicken tikka roll and a cookie from tesco(not so good) so am going to try and just have my tea and thats it for today - tea will be a tesco finest burger in a wholemeal bun, slimming world chips, lettuce and ketchup, yum. Interview went well - the fella seemed lovely and he'll let me know tomorrow

Scribblegirl · 05/10/2016 14:16

Argh I just made an epic fuck up at work so lunch has gone out the window calorie-wise I may also have had a cigarette despite being 'officially' quit

Hate that food is still my go to when stressed! Really not good.

Scribblegirl · 05/10/2016 14:17

So in answer to the question, dinner will be v virtuous! Unless in still feeling awful...

Not2bObvious · 05/10/2016 14:48

I've fallen down badly in the food stakes today - I'm over my 1200 already. Oh balderdash. Poor scribble, just put it all behind you and no more fags!

sugar that sweet potato and chickpea stew looks delicious. I have no idea what’s for tea tonight – I have only just finished my lunch! Smile But I do have 635 cals still, if I don’t go mad and start noshing through the afternoon – it is freezing where I’m working from today, so that might still happen…. Hmm

dawhead, thanks I love that you are forty and fabulous! I did think it might be something rude…. Wink Well done on the loss and making it into the 11s! Star

made glad your interview went well!

scribble Flowers hope you feel better!

My colleagues were wafting birthday cake and choc pastries at my face this morning. It was very off putting – I managed to resist, but had to move the plate away to the other side of the table.

Sugarandsalt · 05/10/2016 16:53

Sesame it is fairly tasty and very filling. Leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Well done on the cake refusal!

imwithspud · 05/10/2016 17:45

The lasagne was delicious! Finished the day on 1350 cals, my 'limit' is 1390 so not too bad. Now I've just got to avoid snacking on anything this evening, annoying as I really fancy something sweet but that's the price I pay for cheesy garlic breadGrin

Lolimax · 05/10/2016 17:58

Sugar well done that's amazing! Made fab news on the interview, fingers crossed for you.
Scribble I've had a VERY challenging day at work (who'd be a manager???) so I'll share your pain but not your fag.
Date night with DH tonight which is lush on a school(well work) night. Only to Spoons but makes a nice treat. I will be good and have only eaten 540 calories today so feel a steak coming on. That bloody pound is still there, it better be gone by Friday.

Not2bObvious · 05/10/2016 17:58

Ooh cheesy garlic bread...swoons. I think when you have something really tasty & carby it can send your mind into food seeking mode. That's been my downfall today. Had a delicious chicken fillet burger with chips and garlic mayo According to the restaurants website it was only around 750 cals but I'm dubious it could be that low. I should have been more than satisfied wouldn't you think? Eh, no. Ate half a bar of chocolate 2 hours later. I was thinking that should do it? Eh, no - hungry again! Arg, self sabotage at its best. Tbf, I'll v likely end that day around 1700 so not the worst but I'm meant to be good dammit

Hello all
I'm desperate to loose weight, problem is I'm lazy and eat lots of sweet treats! Also in my head I'm still a slim size 10 but ft off it in reality!!
I'm 9.12.2 and can't budge from that at the minute and I want to be atleast 8.10 or prefabably 8st

Please can I have some of your user names to add you please as I'm competitive and think I need to see others progressing in order to get my butt in gear

Thanks

Helpmepls1 · 05/10/2016 18:05

Also if you do add me please ignore the chocolate cake I had for breakfast ( I'm going to fail aren't I) atleast I'm honest I guess! X

iwilldoit30 · 05/10/2016 18:58

I don't share my mfp diary to be honest these days, but happy to be supportive wherever possible so v welcome to join in and chat, as you'll see there's a lot of chatting on this thread😉
The aching has kicked in, but for a change its not the legs, it's the arms! Pushing a trolley full of party goodies was a challenge (not as much of a challenge as resisting them though!)

OP posts:
Sugarandsalt · 05/10/2016 20:14

I don't share on MFP either. But love it on here.

I'm about to have dinner. That will bring me to 1060 cals so room for an apple/some dates/a handful of nuts afterwards.15500 steps and day 7 of level 2 of 30day shred. Thank goodness just another few days of it. Hoping level 3 is better!
