Oh, you know, one or two or three. With butter. And syrup.

Long walk for me later!

Not2bObvious · 03/10/2016 16:55

It's very strange alright bath, I'm safe now, none left. But I'm scared if the curly wurlys start to Avalanche!!! Only joking, my badness is done

OP posts:
Lolimax · 03/10/2016 17:25

Evening all! Please no talk of cakes (even falling ones, curly wurlys or anything remotely lovely. I'm having a hungry day and fear the worst will happen. I'm a WHOLE POUND off my 3rd stone and would love to reach it by a family party on Friday (where my sil will completely ignore that I've lost weight so much so that its funny!) so I have to resist temptation!
Made good luck, can I be nosey and ask which call centre? I only ask as I know EE in Merthyr are taking on and I don't think they're the worst in the world to work for.

Not2bObvious · 03/10/2016 17:35

1lb to go loli!! Oh wow wouldn't that be brilliant. Too funny about your sil, one of mine when told I was doing 5:2 said how it obviously wasn't working for me🙄 Tbh she wasn't even being bitchy just honest and she was right

OP posts:
imwithspud · 03/10/2016 18:34

I second the no talk about lovely things please! I'm having a bit of a wobble tonight and just want to gorge on cake and crisps!

Not2bObvious · 03/10/2016 18:44

Best change the subject then, come on y'all, chat away with motivational talk. No more talk of cravings, big glasses of water & early nights all round. Kitchen closed

OP posts:
coragreta · 03/10/2016 19:00

Wish I could have an early night. I'm exhausted. Always am on Monday!
1194 today. Fingers crossed I can leave it at that!

Not2bObvious · 03/10/2016 19:20

1078 here, taken myself off to the bedroom to avoid any temptation. I wish I were exhausted, I'll very likely need a sleepy sleepy night night tablet to get off

Evening all. Love the idea of falling biscuits (or cakes, or whatever..).

Dinner last night was lovely, managed to keep portions small and I guesstimate I was only around 250 calories over target yesterday. Disappointingly after what was overall a good week last week, was only 0.5 lb down, but need to remind myself that a loss is a loss.
Goal for October is at least 5lb loss and to start exercising properly, inspired by all of you. I'll be away for a week though we'll see how it goes.

I've had a mega stressful day at work today, and tomorrow is looking worse. Can't face the healthy dinner I had planned and think I'm going to opt for a Magnum instead - calories will be fine, nutrition not so much Hmm

Bathsheba3 · 03/10/2016 19:46

No snacking this evening folks. It's not worth it.

Today - 945 cals. Smile Have had to add-in 200 fake calories to complete

Yestdy - 2450 cals. Only just logged. Shock And that was without breakfast. It was just a "normal" sunday lunch. 2 large glasses wine.

Callmesausage · 03/10/2016 19:46

Finishing at 1958 today, pleased with that. Good luck with the 1lb loli

Bathsheba3 · 03/10/2016 19:52

Oh yes loli - thanks for reminder sausage - can't wait for you to report back on your SIL's reaction when you shimmy swish and sway your 3-stone-less body at the do on Friday! How is it that some people can be so mean and unsupportive. Make sure you have time for extra hair & make-up polishing too. New outfit?

Lolimax · 03/10/2016 20:20

Bath no new outfit but only because I'm honestly not sure what size I'll end up so I'm loathe to buy anything new.

roarfeckingroar · 03/10/2016 20:50

Dawhead - chin up. I can relate to the feeling of rejection. I've just left my partner who I do still love because of physical rejection and actually, it's okay, onwards and all that. Exercise helps.

I missed my body pump class tonight :( sent an hour later accidentally, so ran a bit and did some weights. I'll go to the class tomorrow.

No falling cakes please! I quite often find I'm in the kitchen, getting salad out the fridge when a wine bottle tries to drown me. Dangerous buggers.

coragreta · 03/10/2016 20:54

What's worse than falling cake and wine bottles is 9 month olds who force feed you their left overs! It's like they don't want you to lose the weight they helped you to gain in the first place.

DawheadAwgusEeentock · 03/10/2016 21:08

Oooo this posting on phone malarkey is really goodGrin.

Scribble good idea about the scales - try to get one that measures body fat too. Not an exact science but I find it very useful and motivating.

Bath thank you Blushand and Flowersand 945 wow that's fantastic!

And Not Flowers for you too. 1078 is brilliant but it was very funny about the fridge contents aiming for you Grin. Can I virtually kick your SIL in the shins on your behalf AngryWink

Made that's very exciting about the interview - good luck!

Loli 1lb!!! You will do it!!! Your SIL can have a kick too Wink

Hi April and 0.5lb is progress! The scales could be playing silly buggers so try not to lose heart.

Sausage great you're back too and well done on today.

Kitchen closed at 1500...sigh Sad. Had 2 biccies after lunch but got really tired/fed up at 4 so had a 200 cal shortbread cake thingie with a cuppa. Drastic measures needed tomorrow to bring down my average before weigh-in on Weds.

DawheadAwgusEeentock · 03/10/2016 21:15

Ok scrap that about phone posting. It takes me so long I miss updates argh.

Roar thank you - I am only starting to realise that whatever happens, I have options. Well done on doing the run and weights instead of your class!

Cora you've had a great day too under 1200 - well done!! Try to resist the little cutey's food Wink

Sugarandsalt · 03/10/2016 21:36

Dawhead I think we cross posted earlier, congrats on moving down a jeans size. 1500cals is respectable in a day. Sorry to hear things are hard at home now, glad you are working on things, and that you are working on yourself.

Good luck in interview Made. Well done on resisting KFC.

Not I love chocolate biscuit cake. I make one with a splash of baileys and a mix of dark and milk butlers chocolate. It is amazing! (No prices for guessing why I got to 16stone!). Apologies all for the cake talk!

Sausage I basically didn't work on diet/exercise all summer but am really motivated again now, and lost 5.5lbs in September, which I'm delighted with.

April it's normal to have slow weight loss some weeks. Mine is seriously slowing down, it's so frustrating. Loli you know your SIL will notice your weight loss even if she doesn't say anything. I actually get really uncomfortable when people mention my weight loss, so I wouldn't mention someone else's unless I knew they were ok talking about it. Roar I hope looking after yourself now is helping you to heal after the break up. Cora my 2 year old literally stuffs food in my mouth. Sometimes she then cries because she wants it back! She has a future in interrogation and torture methods I think.

As for me, today went well. Kitchen closed just now at 1160. 30day shred done, and 15000steps. It's suddenly freezing here, and I'm badly in need of a day to day coat which is reasonably smart!

madein1995 · 03/10/2016 21:41

Thanks everyone Smile have had my leftover chilli and got my wine and am now craving crispy m and ms and trying to resist! Dad is no help with his dismissive 'diets are rubbish eat what you want when you want I say' stance which is all well and good unless you're like me who could easily demolish an entire family size bag of m and ms in 1 sitting never mind eh. Will end today on 1248 (chicken tikka sandwich, yogurt blueberries and strawberries, fruit winder, leftover chilli and sour cream, hummus and crackers, wine) Tomorrow will be having porridge, blueberries and tea for brekkie, stir fry for lunch, banana as a snack at 4 most prob, tomato soup and bread and m and ms for tea after my resit exam (would take me to 1248). Busy day tomorrow - physio 11am, home, cook stir fry and straighten hair (as will have no time to do it for interview otherwise), job centre for 20 to 3, then on to my exam for 6. Have enlisted dad to help by chopping veg for lunch in the morning wrote him very detailed instructions on how to do it properly cracks whip

imwithspud · 03/10/2016 22:11

I've been a bit bad today, it happens when my mood is low and I really need to get a handle on it in the future. On a positive note though I am definitely eating and snacking a lot less, even on a bad day like today, since I started tracking on MFP. So that's something.

Also I forgot to say thanks for the advice about counting calories for roast dinners earlier! I'm sure it will get easier the more I stick with it.

imwithspud · 03/10/2016 22:13

Dawn my calorie intake was around 1500 today too, you're not alone! It could be worse though, I'm far to embarrassed to say how many calories I consumed last Friday when we had McDonald's for teaBlush Here's to a better day tomorrow.

SesameSparkle · 03/10/2016 22:17

call welcome back, you can do this

roar I've set mfp to half a lb a week, but if I manage to lose 1lb I'd be v happy. It's onwards and downwards btw ... Wink

must hope you enjoyed your chippy tea!

dawhead Flowers you can take control. In my opinion, if you are only 6lb away from healthy bmi, you are doing really great.

made well done and good luck for the interview!

hopefully I've got a long list of things now I'm never to buy. That includes the sliced cheese that's at my eyeline every time I open the fridge....

loli keep your eyes on the prize!

spud don't do it!

april a loss is a loss! Star

bath amazing willpower today

sugar I had my winter coat on at the weekend, as I'm feeling the chill in the evenings here already

Kitchen closed on 1687, so 27 cals over for me. Had already entered 20g of choc to take me up to the limit, opened the fridge to put some left over salad away Halo and saw the fresh fruit. So pudding was choc, watermelon and berries!

Sugarandsalt · 03/10/2016 22:56

Yes I need to go coat shopping. I've had a look and have seen nothing I like though. Have a trench I bought last year which I wore today but DH said I looked like a little girl in her mothers coat for a pantomime! It's an 18 and I'm now a 12ish.

Also need to go bra shopping (yet) again. Sesame how's your bra hunt going? We are similar size and your description sounds like my new shape so I'm going to shamelessly try the ones you think are best!

SesameSparkle · 03/10/2016 23:15

I've got a full length seasalt coat that carried me through all the winter months last year, but unfortunately it's a 14 and looks terrible on my 10-12 frame, even with layers underneath. At least I got a winter out of it I suppose so cost per wear would have been quite low. I've got 2 mild winter coats still fortunately. Both are size M which really helps - one has a waist tie and flare which still flatters, the other a cocoon shape so still hangs ok.

I'm wearing the freya patsy today and I'm loving it. It might be the best fitting bra I've had in ages, and even though it's a small band it's been really comfy all day - even didn't notice it when I was rolling on the floor in my meditation class. I might keep 1 or 2 others - the patsy in black and a 'rapture' which is pretty close. I'm trying not to order more until the end of the month as hopefully I'll reach a new happy weight and try to maintain by then.

Hopefully · 04/10/2016 05:06

I am still avoiding bra shopping sugar and sugar despite having only two bras (one of which doesn't really fit) - determined to get to 10st before I buy new undies as I know I often lose a cup size around that point.

made hope your busy day goes smoothly today.

Shockingly I have only lost 0.25lb of my 1.5lb bloat after crumpet-gate yesterday. Frankly I'm astonished I didn't gain more! It all stemmed from a bad breakfast, so I'I hoping that avocado on sourdough sets me up slightly better today - I try not to eat breakfast until after the morning school run, as I find i snack then regardless, so if I'be eaten breakfast I just end up consuming an extra 250 calories then anyway.
