New week, new thread.

Hello! Can I ask if the meet up's on a week day could it be Thursday or Friday if possible (dp's at home those days so I wouldn't have to worry about childcare!). Also I couldn't do March 5th or 30th!!

Weekday meet-ups would rule me out if we're talking about meeting up in London or Oxford. There's no way that I could get back in time to pick dd up from school, unless it was during a holiday ... and then dd would have to come with me, which may not be the best idea ever

I could do a week day but it'd involve a lot of childcare type problems! Especially as I plan to stay overnight if I can (don't fancy drinking then driving!) though if I can travel by train thats less of a problem except that I'd have to keep an eye on the clock for train times etc!

Well we definitely can't have a meet up without you WWB - that would be silly and wrong! Weekends - Saturdays are better for me as I've got the kids on Sundays?

Aha! Sue - I see you started the meet up idea, which must mean you're organising it! Let me know if you want any help though - I'm horribly bossy and interfering..!

The last (and first!) meet-up we had was in Oxford last August - we met late morning, had coffe, moved straight on to lunch (), then went our separate ways after that. No alcohol was consumed, because people were driving, and had to get back home.

Lunch time is good! Saturday is good (be nice to meet WWB too! )

London is easier travel wise and I have places I can cadge a bed!!!! But Oxford isn't impossible!

Best Saturdays for me are 10 or 24 or 31 March.

17 March is completely out, and 3 March would be difficult.
Both my dc have birthdays in March!

I can only do March 24th due to a ridculous amount of family birthdays as well... Would have more free April Saturdays though?

I can do 24th March but I'll expect large amount of calorie laden cake as it's 4 days short of my 34th (Ok... I admit it..... i've been going backwards since I hit 40! )

Once we get to the start of the cricket season (end of April), I'm free every Saturday with dd .

Before that, I'm afraid that Saturdays are definitely family time for us as dh plays cricket every weekend from April to September, so we make the most of our weekends in the off season.

I can usually do Fridays (with dd) as I don't work on Fridays.

I don't blame you for making the most of your weekends littlefish!

I'm sooo glad my Dh isn't in to sport (not even watching it!)

The ex spent most of his spare time out in his boat for which I was supposed to be grateful as he caught our 'lunch'!

Apart from the fact I hate fish, the kids and I missed having around and we really didn't have much of a family social life!

I can do Fridays or Saturdays. Can I assume that we are happy with a late morning meet-up, lunch then early afternoon finish to avoid the traffic (or to go shopping!)

Why don't we start with a list of people who can do Fridays and Saturdays then narrow it down to a specific date and venue? Cut and paste and add you name to whichever you can do...
