Ooh Flutterbee - it's my birthday today - we are almost twins! Can you reschedule your dinner?

JackieNo · 03/02/2007 20:45

Happy birthday Sue, and a slightly belated happy birthday to you too Flutterbee - hope you can reschedule. How to be ill on your birthday. Hope you feel better soon.

CheesyFeet · 03/02/2007 21:09

Happy birthday flutterbee and Sue - flutter, how crap to be ill on your birthday, hope you're feeling better soon.

I've completely lost my appetite, which you would think was a good thing, but my body tends to hold onto the lard if I don't eat so I have to eat to lose weight. I'm trying to eat soup and toast, that kind of thing, just to keep my metabolism ticking over.

MrsJohnCusack · 03/02/2007 21:09

Happy BIrthday Sue! and Happy Birthday Flutterbee

I don't think I'm going anywhere soon BTW. Dot - seriously impressed with the running

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 04/02/2007 00:10

Hey I meant to ask - who met whom at the Xmas bash. Were you all mad axe murderers or were you all reasonably normal?

We must plan another meet up for when the weather is a bit warmer - either Oxford again as it seemed quite central or maybe London this time.

Any views?

MrsJohnCusack · 04/02/2007 09:17

yes I think none of you should meet up because you'll make me jealous

not really...

JackieNo · 04/02/2007 09:33

It would be lovely to meet up again - I'd love to meet WWB as well this time, if we could, but I'm not sure where would be an easy place for her to get to?

Littlefish · 04/02/2007 10:25

Oooooooh yes please. I'd love to meet again.

Oxford is definitely easier for me and I suspect for WWB too as she lives quite near me.

Dottydot · 04/02/2007 10:28

I'd love to come if possible!

I was out running at 8am today!! Although I think you lot have got some bizarre vision of someone who can run - you need to imagine a 14 stone person lumbering down the road, making more noise than a tractor and being bright red after 10 yards..! Really quite like it though and it makes me feel like I'm trying, which is good after the last couple of months of eating debauchery!!

JackieNo · 04/02/2007 12:37

Dottydot. Blimey you're dedicated. At 8am I was still lying in bed.

Fauve · 04/02/2007 15:57

More respect to you, Dottydot! I know what you mean about the image - my ds asked me NOT to run when out with him the other day - too embarrassing, he said...hmm, well, I'll show him. Wait till I'm lithe and lean - he'll never keep up...

I'd love to be able to make the next meet-up - I could make Oxford if it's during the school day, or if it's at the weekend.

flutterbee · 04/02/2007 16:23

Dotty well done with the running, I can't wait for the days when I can have a little run without causing serious injury and embarressment. I expect it will be a good few years yet.

I would love to come and meet you all, I wanted to come last time but it would involve a good few hours travelling with at least 2 changes on the train/tube through London.

I shall wait to see where the meet up will be and then I shall add to the list if it's feasible.

Fauve · 04/02/2007 16:42

Could we please avoid 19 to 26 Feb inclusive - that's our half term? Thanks

Fauve · 04/02/2007 16:45

And do we get exclusive chats and photo opportunities with Daniel, as well as his mum? Please?

Dottydot · 04/02/2007 17:22

Jackie - 8am wouldn't be my first choice but dp works on a Sunday so I had to get out before I was trapped with the children for the day!! I won't get a chance to run now until Thursday because of working patterns, but I'm thinking of running to WW - now there's commitment (or should I be committed??! )

flutterbee · 04/02/2007 17:27

Don't run too ww dotty as you weight slightly heavier after exersice.

Run home instead

Dottydot · 04/02/2007 17:28

Blimey didn't know that! (Dotty stores away this excuse to use at a later date!!)

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 04/02/2007 20:02

I was thinkoing of March for a meetup. There will be plenty of photo ops with Daniel for a nominal fee...

Had Xmas lunch with the family today. The boy behaved like a dream all afternoon and the teenage neices and nephews are all besotted with him. They think he never cries!

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 04/02/2007 20:04

It's funny - when people meet him they go from previously saying "he's so lucky to have found you" to "you're soooo lucky to have him"! I agree of course but it's so lovely for people to understand how privileged I am to get him.

EeyoreIsFab · 04/02/2007 21:33

Congratulations Flutterbee & Sue!

Agalch - Have you tried your lateral thigh trainer yet & ,if so, is it any good?

littlemisssensible · 04/02/2007 21:41

I'd love to come to a meet!

I could do Oxford or London, though London is probably easier depending where, as I can leap on a train!!!

Dotty well done for doing those runs! I keep meaning to get back into going to the gym regularly but don't seem to quite make it at the moment! Still, theres always next week!

littlemisssensible · 04/02/2007 21:43

ooops! Forgot to say well done flutterbee and a massive, Wow! Amazing! Well done Sue! (Don't fancy the bacon fat diet however!!!)

agalch · 04/02/2007 21:57

Hi ladies

EyeoreisFab,yes have used it every day and it's great. But it is difficult to start with as you are stepping and nt holding onto anything iyswim? Hope it trains my thunder thighs anyhow.

Have had a bag of doritos tonight,dp not here so being a wee bit sneaky.Could really do with another bag but it would be a slippery slope for me tonight.

Will do another 15 mins on my machine instead lol.

Have a good night xx

Fauve · 04/02/2007 21:58

I'd find London easier, but happy to consider travelling to Oxford. My diary for March is pretty clear...

littlemisssensible · 05/02/2007 10:01

I got some new scales this weekend!!!

I've been promising myself some posh ones that do body fat as well as weight for ages.

I've always got very down in the past when my weight hasn't changed even though I'm going to the gym and getting fitter! And it has the almost inevitable effect of making me feel as if I'm wasting my time and I might as well 'scoff all the pies'!

So, as these were reduced to half price , I treated myself so now i'll know body fat, BMI and body water (I suppose thats useful )so should be able to see myself getting fitter if not thinner!!!

Dh wasn't very helpful, he just looked bewmused and asked what was wrong with the old scales, then when I explained he just laughed! He does tell me he loves me as I am though, so he's not all bad!
