Who's up for the 7lbs in September challenge?

Following on from June, July and August's threads, we're aiming to lose 7lbs.
(Posting as Rshard is still on holiday - hope you had a great time!)

All regimes welcome. Support and encouragement guaranteed!

My starting weight for September is 11st 5.25lbs. (I actually ended yesterday at 6.5lbs but the scales have jumped down again so I am having it!). That means I lost 5lbs in August. I found having this thread helped my focus and determination, if it helps anyone else, fantastic! Smile

Good luck everyone!

Morning!

Go me - I lost 3lbs! I am as chuffed as chips with that!

helloheyhi can I have your pancake recipe pretty please?

Helloheyhi · 05/09/2016 09:30

Really well done BOOP 3 pounds!!!
Of course you can;

1 ripe banana
2 eggs
whizz in food processor until really smooth and runny consistency

Heat a non stick pan, I use some unsalted butter but you can use non, or some 1 cal spray, coconut oil etc.
Pour into the pan
Cook until golden brown on the underside
Flip over
Cook until golden brown on the other side

I usually add some cinammon and/or vanilla in the mixture

Serve warm with or without crushed nuts/fruits/frozen yogurt/honey anything you fancy

Cauliflower muffins if anyone wants it!

Cauliflower Muffins

Both are low carb and gives 1 of the 5 a day!

FYI non of these are my recipes!

Another fan of banana pancakes, real sweet treat but no naughties. I use coconut oil for the flavour and squished raspberries on top.

This weekend however was a nightmare. I am bloated and feel massive, but it has motivated me to get back on the wagon, starting right now with level 2 30 day shred and a fast day. I didn't drink, so at least that's a start. I can do this!

May sound daft but I have stuck Nancy Sinatra on my fridge. Those legs motivate me. DH likes her presence too Hmm

PlumFairy2014 · 05/09/2016 09:38

And well done Boop that's awesome!!!

BitOutOfPractice · 05/09/2016 09:41

Thank you.

I've faffed around with the same couple of pounds all summer do I've really gone for it this week and it worked.

Thanks for that recipe! I shall definitely try that!

Helloheyhi · 05/09/2016 10:32

Arghh those links don't seem to work!
Lets try again;

Pancake

Muffin

PlumFairy2014 · 05/09/2016 10:34

Was it diet or exercise that has shifted it Boop? Any tips? Grin

DoinItFine · 05/09/2016 10:39

Is it too late to join?

I started on September 1st too. Trying to lose 10lbs by month end.

Starting weight 10st7lbs.

Haven't weighed myself since.

Need to shift the summer boozy grazing weight before it gets too comfortable.

Helloheyhi · 05/09/2016 10:50

Plum I just checked Nancy Sinatra's legs, they are awesome!
Plenty of water today and the bloat will disappear. It may sound daft but I start the day everyday with the mantra it's a new day and restart all over again. It gets me through the day somehow.
Welcome Doin

Titsalinabumsquash · 05/09/2016 10:54

I'll join as a newbie. I did the low carb boot camp with some success then had a mad couple of weeks but I'm back on it now.
I have DS's birthday on the 15th that I will have cake for, I'm not kidding myself that I won't! Apart from that Sept is free from anything stopping me.

I'm away over Christmas on a special, once in a life time starlight wish trip for DS1, I'd like to step on the plane 9.5stone or lighter.

DoinItFine · 05/09/2016 11:07

You have to have cake on your kid's birthday.

It's the rules :)

I know it's a bad idea to be always making exceptions, but I hate the thought of my kids remembering me not partaking of their birthday cake.

I have so many things that will trip me up this month, but I'm going to just do my best.

9.5 stone by Christmas sounds ideal, Titsalina. I'm not sure the pre-Christmas season won't get to me though! Grin

Your DS's trip sounds really special.

Titsalinabumsquash · 05/09/2016 11:48

Exactly! I don't want to be the mum that is sat back refusing to join in when the cake comes out, I'll have a small slice and darn well enjoy it! I took the same theory at the weekend when DS and I did a long, long walk and managed to get a whole tub of blackberries and apples. We made crumble and had fun and then we all ate it for dessert, I had a smaller portion with cream (low carb won!) and they had custard. It was worth the carbs.

PlumFairy2014

Mainly diet I think. i'm using MFP and trying to stick to 1200 a day

I'm also trying to do something every day - either the gym or a decent walk

DoinItFine · 05/09/2016 12:32

I'm trying to stick to 1250 calories.

Not exercising every day on that though.

Not sure I could TBH.

Donatellalymanmoss · 05/09/2016 16:59

Finally weighed myself. 12 stone 9. I'm so fucked off with myself but trying not to get too down as much of the gain came from antidepressant side effects which sent me into a ridiculous binge eating pattern.

So anyway. Currently cutting out crap. Ramping up exercise. Will see how the next month goes.

NapQueen · 05/09/2016 17:33

I'm not a sweet stuff snacker more savoury but have found that dd's cheese strings hit the spot!

Stellar67 · 05/09/2016 17:48

Hello, may I join. I'm doing SW but finding it hard on social occasions, of which I seem to have a few. I like the 7lb in a month idea.

QuimReaper · 05/09/2016 19:16

I definitely need to get myself back "in the zone", it's so hard to rediscover when you let it all go!

Dinner out tomorrow for a friend's birthday, but will be good during the day. Today I've had a good fast day and got myself out for a walk, so I'm pleased with that. I'll probably weigh in tomorrow before dinner; I find it really motivating to do it every couple of days, when I'm being really good, because it keeps me on the straight and narrow: I think "Let's just be good until tomorrow afternoon so the scales give me a boost", and I can keep it going like that. I make myself walk to Boots to weigh, so that it's like an "event" and needs to be factored into my plans, rather than just hopping on the scales in the bathroom and then attacking the kitchen Grin

Also because I never ever seem able to get scales that really work reliably Hmm

QuimReaper · 05/09/2016 19:16

Hello Stella and Tits!

thisisallnewtome8 · 05/09/2016 19:28

I too would like to join. I'm 9st 8 and want to be 9 St. Realistically I'm not sure it's achievable as for the past six years I've been training for Ironman and a change in personal life means my exercise has taken a nose dive.
I aim to kick start my training and eliminate all sweet things from my diet.
Fingers crossed and good luck to everyone Smile

JamieVardysParty · 05/09/2016 19:30

Weighed myself on MILs scales on Saturday and was 71kg. However not taking that measurement until the scales at the gym say it.

Had a busy weekend travelling to the big city and showing some friends around. About 2000cal on Sat, 1800 on Sun, 1500 today. Actually looking forward to getting back into my routine tomorrow of low cal food and the gym.

NapQueen · 05/09/2016 21:25

Leftover beef stew from yesterday's slow cooker for lunch. Missed Bfast. Dinner a big pot of Skinnie Soup from Asda (300cals for entire pot).

I'm finding using mfp easier than SW as I d9nt need to worry about syns or getting my hexa/b etc.

Am hoping it lasts!

QuimReaper · 05/09/2016 22:02

NapQueen how'd your slow-cooker's maiden voyage go?
