I made lentil and veg soup for dinner, so minimal calories, but I've still finished the day at 1,838, netting more or less 1,650 if exercise calories are vaguely accurate. Hoping for a bit of a de-bloat tomorrow even though my calories haven't been brilliant. We'll see.

Hopefully · 19/09/2016 18:54

Sorry, I have name checked no one today! Have been reading along and cheering/commiserating as appropriate though Grin.

Callmesausage · 19/09/2016 20:10

Sugar, your menu for the week sounds fab!

Coming in Round 1300 calories today, though I'm sure I've forgotten to log something. Anyhow, more in control than yesterday. Definitely need to go to Aqua tomorrow night. No excuses

Lolimax · 19/09/2016 20:19

Evening! Slightly less fatter than once was Welsh bird checking in! Good day today, 3 meals, quick half hour walk with dogs, 9 hours at work plus an hours Latino Fit and only 900 calories consumed so I feel a late night treat coming on!

Sugarandsalt · 19/09/2016 20:38

Did level 1 of the 30 day shred just there. Dying now! Just about to sit down to my dinner finally, I'm starving! Should come in at 1150, did 10000 steps and my YouTube workout so fingers crossed I'll start undoing some of the weekend damage!

Fitterbysixty · 19/09/2016 20:43

Lolimax at what point do we start calling you Lolimin?

I derailed my day with a poor choice of breakfast and it went downhill from there. I've walked a lot so it's not a total wipe out but I am aware that it has not been a day of good choices.

Tomorrow will start with porridge, I know where I stand with porridge and dried fruit.

loli that's fab, enjoy your treat, you deserve it!

sugar your weekly meal plan sounds really nice, and wow at all the exercise!

fitter well done on the exercise Smile

call enjoy your aqua session and let me know how you get on, I've not had chance to get to a class yet Grin

hopefully never mind we all have days like that and you've done really well so far

dawhead I think that's actually pretty good considering you've had a few nice bits

keep I always log my calories on mfp rather than fitbit

Thanks to everyone for congratulating me Smile I'm glad I went for a swim and even happier I went to a different leisure centre - it was so much nicer and modern! Changing rooms were posh, they had proper branded hairdryers that you didn't have to play for, much quieter, no windows connecting gym and pool so people couldn't see you, lovely showers with doors not shower curtains, and a proper cafe instead of crappy vending machines perhaps the last one not so good, I hardly ever get tempted by vending machines but the smell from the cafe lured me in
Breakfast - scrambled egg on toast, milk - 389
Had 4 dairybox chocolates - 200
Cookie -428 [shocked]
Tea - pasta and meatballs and veg, no cherry tomatos as someone (dad) ate them all so that was 507 instead. Taking my total to 1524. Tomorrow am having porridge, jam and tea for breakfast, leftover pasta and meatvalls for lunch, no clue what's for tea as I won't be cooking it - mam is and will probably be either German potato pancakes (gorgeous things, my gran was from Germany origionally so that's where the recipe comes from) or the less exciting but still nice cottage pie and veg.

Lolimax · 19/09/2016 21:06

Ha Fitter! I know what you mean about choices though. I tend to stick to the same things (overnight oats so I can eat them at my desk then Quorn ham and salad) it just means I don't have to think very hard. Saying that Quorn ham is bloody horrible though lol!
Keep I've all but given up bread, pasta, rice and spuds. 6 months in I only miss proper freshly baked white bread with half a lb of butter (which is why I don't eat it) and I'm sure that's why my calories stretch further.

coragreta · 19/09/2016 21:39

I wish I could give up carbs. I think I eat them with every meal. Even needed bread with my soup!

madein1995 · 19/09/2016 21:43

cora I need bread with my soup too or it just doesn't fill me haha, I think I have carbs with most meals but I do try and have a few non carby meals too - like omlettes etc. I think I'm lucky in that I don't really crave carbs as such, more sweet stuff, so I can have pasta at tea and then not want bread etc. One of my friends cut back on the carbs massively though and looks brilliant for it Smile I am going to try and make more of an effort to eat wholegrain carbs more I think - once the current bags of rice and pasta are gone, I will buy wholegrain stuff as it's healthier (even if wholegrain pasta doesn't taste the same), I quite like brown rice though

Lolimax · 19/09/2016 21:51

Honestly you don't need them I missed them and had headaches for a couple of weeks but no more bloating or IBS. I get full from protein and veg. It probably isn't for everyone but it works for me.

Bathsheba3 · 19/09/2016 21:54

Everyone on Cold Feet are drinking. Wine, beer, more wine. I would LOVE a glass of red. Holding tight though.

Sugarandsalt · 19/09/2016 22:06

I've switched to some protein with soup- chicken breast or a big bowl of salad, and it's fine actually. I think bread is just a (delicious) habit with soup!

I haven't cut out carbs but I've cut down on them, and tried to switch pasta/white rice for vegetable substitutes/brown rice/quinoa/buckwheat. Same amount of calories but higher fibre/protein so just a little more filling. And obviously lots of carbs in fruit and veg so we are really talking of refined carbs. I'm not a big potato fan (despite my ethnicity!) and actually prefer sweet potato or squash so that helps.

Made I'm a bit obsessed with meal planning, I compete with myself to waste as little food and keep prices down as much as possible each week!

Sugarandsalt · 19/09/2016 22:07

Bath after I drank ALL the wine at the wedding on Friday I still can't even consider any more! I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad sign!

Hopefully · 20/09/2016 04:44

Sugar Shred is brilliant for quick results.

Fitter my breakfast yesterday was far higher in calories than I expected it to be, slightly scuppered the day in terms of calorie count, although was at least nutritious.

I also eat virtually no pasta/bread/rice/potatoes, as the calories just have no bang for their buck at all. Makes me hungrier later and means I run out of calories too quickly. I eat quinoa/pearl barley/beans/the odd bit of sourdough etc though.

Back down to only 0.5lb above last week's low, so 1lb of bloat gone. Maybe if I just don't eat at all today I can lose a bit more before PMT bloat starts Hmm Grin.

Lolimax · 20/09/2016 06:04

Morning! 1lb down here Smile so very happy.

Not2bObvious · 20/09/2016 06:21

That's great loli, you're on a roll these days, I think you need to send us all to your caravan for a weightloss boost😁 Hurrah for the dispersal of bloat hope, you'll be shot of it in another day if you get a good day under your belt. I'm coming in at 11.5.2 - up 2.6 from Friday, got to work on shifting it plus another 1lb by Friday. Yesterdays eating did go a little off track but only around 1500 which was acceptable. I'm starting bc this afternoon...terrified! But I need something to take my mind off things so bring on the pain...gulp

Bathsheba3 · 20/09/2016 07:04

Good one Lol. My official weigh-in day today. 1/2 lb down. Was hoping for more, but it's still 1/2 lb. What is bc Not?

Sugarandsalt · 20/09/2016 07:30

Hope Loli Bath well done! Not2b I didn't weigh in this morning but yesterday I was (gulp) 3.5lbs over last Thursday. Logically I know that at least half of that is bloat so giving myself a few days off the scales!

I did the shred a few months ago but didn't finish as I got a running injury. So this time I'm just doing shred and going to try find a Pilates class locally too. I'm a bit stiff today but in a good way!

Not2bObvious · 20/09/2016 07:53

Boot camp bath, a form of modern torture. I'll be in a heap tomorrow, no doubt. Well done on the half pound, it all adds up

coragreta · 20/09/2016 07:56

Lost a lb since Friday. Don't know how that happened with my eating on Saturday but now I'm only one lb away from my reward, my pre baby weight and a whole new stone category. Yay. Fingers crossed o get there by Friday!

Not2bObvious · 20/09/2016 07:57

suagr I think 3.5 over a big weekend away is great - you're probably halfway to losing it already. You'd have to have eaten over 12,000 plus your maintance cals, so around 20,000 cals since Thursday to really gain 3.5 - I doubt the wedding was THAT good😉

Sugarandsalt · 20/09/2016 08:38

My target is to end the week back at 12stone or under. I'll even deal with 12st1! Hope boot camp goes well Not, I did one a few years ago before my wedding and it was great. Very hard but great!

Overtiredbackagain · 20/09/2016 08:53

Hi can I join you please? Inspired by this thread, have been yoyo-ing since giving birth to DC3 last June and need to get motivated, as life is just so damn hard and busy Sad

I join you at 12 stone, I'm 42, with an office job. I've put 1lb a week kids and got 1530, so I'm starting with that.

My downfall is grapes - the fermented kind!! 😖 so I am abstaining for the next six weeks (if I can!)
