Aw thanks everyone Blush you are all lovely.

Bath - that lunch yesterday sounded lovely - you might convince me to start eating salads yet Wink. Sounds you have had a rough start to the day today, so be gentle with yourself you have been doing great.

Not2b you're right I should be grateful really. I did a fair bit of walking and housework so that probably saved me somewhat. And croquettes - I haven't had them in years! And used to love them yum. Were they nice? Sorry but I can't remember Blush - is being back at last Friday's weight a good thing or a bad thing? From what I remember you've been doing really well this week and wine & crisps is only a minor deviation Wink. Anyway, best of luck for weigh-in tomorrow!

Emz good to see you back and so glad that everything is going well and that OH is back.

sugarandsalt I had to google edamame Blush but now I know what they are called Grin. Well done on the new low Star. You are incredible and have done so well. Have a lovely time at the wedding but I was just about to say (before you posted there) it's grey, miserable and wintry here in the mid-west at the moment (it was 13 degrees yest!). Fingers crossed it improves for tomorrow. I think your dress might be gone off the website (or maybe it's my browser) but a size 12!!! Swit swoo am very jealous Envy.

keep that's great that the day wasn't bad once you put it in MFP! Lots of us on here have fitness trackers - if you read back the thread you will see more feedback on them. I have a fitbit and tbh I don't really find it motivates me, but it is a brilliant gadget for checking steps, calories, sleep etc. I also have the fitbit scales (nightmare to set up but brilliant now) and it syncs with the phone app so I don't have to log my weight myself.

cora that's a great calorie count for yesterday. You are doing really well.

Cinder love the name change Wink and well done on the porridge Grin. Mine is very boring - I just make it with water and throw a splash of skimmed milk over it once it's cooked. Oh and some (very bad for me) Splenda on top.

Loli that's brilliant that you're sticking to the cals while you're away. I'm assuming you're near the sea? It must be lovely esp as the weather sounds like it's been lovely and warm over there.

Sesame Grin I had forgotten to check the weight code - 1 1/2 guinea pigs I love it. Isn't it wrong though that we're trying to lose something so cute Wink. Aw I find it's very hard resisting food at work (or anywhere) where I can see it and smell it. And you are allowed a bad day because of horrible AF.

Hi daily do you have a timeframe in mind for the 3kg? You could probably do it in a month or two if you set your mind to it - depends how strict you want to be.

Hopefully wahoo that's brilliant well done Star. That's fantastic that you can see how slim you are now yourself IYKWIM.

made that is some great advice from Not2b and your calorie counts are really good. I see my parents very regularly and I still find it very hard to put my foot down and insist on eating as little as I want when I am at their house. So if you can start asserting yourself now it will be well worth it in the long run.

Hope I haven't forgotten anyone Blush it's moving so fast here I find it very hard to keep up.

Not2bObvious · 15/09/2016 10:29

Oops sorry sugar, not used to having many Irish on the thread (of course we have dawg too 😉)
Oh yes its a good thing to be back to last weeks weigh in with a day to go dawg, I might have a shot of showing a loss throughout the week. No I hadn't been that bad but my body seems to love every morsel I eat or drink and then hangs onto weekend munching for days! There is no justice in my weightloss world. Croquettes very nice, bought them in lidl and they work out as 5 for around 170 cals, bit more eating on them then a few chips.

DawheadAwgusEeentock · 15/09/2016 10:34

Ha - I forgot my own update Blush.

So came in at 1550 yesterday. Still a way to go to 1200 but at least I've started a downward trend since last week. But to make matters worse, my 'good' knee is now completely buggered. I tried a fast walk yesterday evening and was going great, so thought I would try a little jog for a minute. Went fine - felt great. Walked for 5 more minutes then tried another little jog and my knee just buckled completely. Had to stop the walk altogether and wore a heat strap in bed last night. Normally H and I walk our dog together in the mornings but I had to turn back this morning cos of the pain. Now it's slathered in Deep Heat and I'm wearing a knee strap.

I know this means I have to stop exercising until my knees are better (apart from actual knee exercises). I am devastated b/c I was really enjoying c25k and I know it meant I was able to have my treats/biccies every day and still lose weight. Now I will have to be really strict, even at weekends and I'm not sure I'm mentally able for that.

So today is going to be a soup day:
B: Porridge 190
L: Soup & bread 190
D: Davina's leek & ham bake with spuds 540

That only comes to about 920 so gives me a little wiggle room for biccies/maybe a hot chocolate later.

Hopefully · 15/09/2016 11:09

dawhead what a pain (literally) about your knee! I had to give up running entirely after one too many knee and foot injuries, and yoga has been a great substitute (same benefits of easy to do without equipment/good for my mood/can do it anywhere). Probably you'll be fine to start running again when fully recovered though. Maybe do each week twice when you start again so you have plenty of time to adapt.

not2be yes, treat time again! I ordered over the knee boots this morning after trying some IRL the other day to ensure I don't look like a loon in them.

Does anyone else find they have insane hunger after a significant loss? I don't know if it's imagined, but a day or two after registering a genuine loss I always seem to have a day where my body is trying desperately to recoup all the calories! Have already eaten 650cals today and it's only 11am! A mixture of healthy avocado on oatcakes and less healthy chocolate buttons and mini marshmallows - DD is doing terribly at the toilet training, so I'm rewarding myself instead Wink.

Bathsheba3 · 15/09/2016 11:22

So sorry to hear your knee went Dawhead. Ouch - and very frustrating from an exercise / well-being point of view. You ARE mentally able to be good at the weekends too. Just be prepared, and have a few carrot, celery & cucumber sticks already chopped & ready to munch if you feel the need to snack. One biscuit will always lead to another in my world. Think of the longer term, and come on the thread if you feel a wobble & temptations too tempting. You need to be kinder to yourself too - you are always so thoughtful with your lovely posts. You CAN do it daws

My frustrations have cleared thank you. Am all set now for the day! Am out this evening & have to take a bottle & a plate. I'm taking fizzy water for me, as well as prosecco for them, and my plate is crudités (loads) with hummus, & a pea & something dip. So that's me sorted. No cocktail sausages nor crisps shall pass my lips. One is never the one, unless it's a handful Blush

That dress is just lovely sugar. And a size 12 too. Lots of distraction from cold sores.

Bathsheba3 · 15/09/2016 11:27

Hopefully - ha ha ha! Boots sound fab & very well-deserved! Your jumpsuit from about 3 pages back sounds gorgeous too Not.

Cinderbelly · 15/09/2016 14:08

For anyone interested just had lunch, so approx 5 hours between porridge and sandwich with a 3000 step walk inbetween Grin

Wallywobbles · 15/09/2016 16:02

I'm 13 kgs down now. Hit 2 stone loss after 7 weeks on VLCD.

I'm bored though. Was pleased to see 85 (.7) appear on the scales today. Felt like a bit of a landmark.

Not2bObvious · 15/09/2016 16:17

Wow wally, it'll soon be "where's wally?" for you😁 That's a brilliant loss, remind me were you doing Slim & save or something like that? If so you're probably time enough on it to start a more relaxed plan. You won't lose at the same rate but it's more liveable.
My inner saboteur is on the rampage, I won't bore you all with details or shame myself but I've been a baaad one. Drawing a line under it see😉

Lolimax · 15/09/2016 16:36

Hello. You're all doing so well! I'm so frustrated not being able to weigh this week!!! DH and I have just done a 10km hike on the coastal path burning 1.2k calories according to Map My Walk!! The dogs are out for the count. We're going to have fish and chips (well no chips for me) by the sea tonight as a treat but I'll still be under calories.

Not2bObvious · 15/09/2016 17:14

I would say you'll have a brilliant weigh in when you get home loli - I hope you're really enjoying it & not feeling hard done by, your resolve is awe inspiring. I hope I can take a leaf out of your book when I go on my holiday. Any chance there's a chemist with a scales anywhere near for a quick sneaky weigh in? I did that on my last holiday, it just eased my mind a bit, even if I still gained like mad lol! Might be joining a twice weekly bootcamp for the next 3 weeks if there's a space - I'd like something structured to go to, fingers x'ed I can get on it

Callmesausage · 15/09/2016 18:01

Evening all. Not had a chance to catch up yet. Finishing at 1026 today. Weight the same as Monday, I can't complain. Had a good loss last week, so not expecting much this week.

Hope everyone's doing ok.

SesameSparkle · 15/09/2016 18:03

sugarand Amazing to be into the 11s and 4st is an absolutely awesome loss! Star I’m sure you’ll look lovely in the new dress.

bath It’s a little cooler here so I’ll not sweat off those calories, but I did manage to go for a short walk at lunchtime which should hopefully help

cinder I use my phone to count my steps. Nice work on the porridge!

dawhead thanks, have been at the office haribo stash today which isn’t normally like me, but at least I was a lot more restrained in the canteen earlier. Ouch at your poor knee! Flowers Definitely time to take it easy for the next while.

hopefully yes, I have the hunger – today was bad as I started on my healthy snack stash as soon as I got into work, so not long after breakfast. I’m meant to keep them on hand for my ‘3pm dip’ – so I had to go looking for something else to fill the gap.... Boots sound a lovely treat.

wally 13kg is an awesome loss, go you! Went to check the list and you’ve lost a badger like me….! Wink

loli A 10k walk is amazing!

call good work on the calorie count!

Lolimax · 15/09/2016 18:10

Thanks Not. We're pretty rural here although we did pass a Boots in the week. I'll hold out until Sunday morning now (back Saturday but going to an engagement party that night where I know I'll be drinking whoops!). Your boot camp sounds scary what does it involve?

coragreta · 15/09/2016 18:22

I don't like porridge but saw a tasty video on Facebook and it made it look really nice. I might try something with yoghurt. I put some oats in my granola. Does that count?
Finished at 1187 today so good fingers crossed for my weigh in tomorrow.

Not2bObvious · 15/09/2016 18:53

I'm not too sure loli, I did a few months of bootcamp last year, first batch was twice a week then 3 times & it was brutal. But this one is described as being ideal for beginners - it's in the same place & the owner is an animal!! I need to do something though, I'd get 6 sessions in before holidays which might help me tighten up a bit. Knowing my luck it won't go ahead. I'm on about 1400 so far, not ideal but not that bad

Cinderbelly · 15/09/2016 19:37

Evening all, just weighed in, lost about 0.25lb so now 13.6 feeling pretty happy with that.

What's VLCD?

Should finish at 1200 have saved enough for an evening coffee and biscuit, was going to have a packet of crisps at lunch, had them in my hand for about 10 minutes whilst I decided if I wanted the crisps or evening coffee more.. Caffeine addiction won out!
Boot camp sounds scary... Well done for signing up! I'm still on the hunt for an idea for some easy exercise routines I can fit into daily life!

Not2bObvious · 15/09/2016 19:51

That's brillant cinder on the right of 13 now, only 6.25 to get into the 12's. Very low calorie diet, I think probably under 1000 a day but wally could probably confirm. I've banished myself to bed as I've eaten wayyy too much today and being close to the kitchen is a recipe for disaster! Treated myself to a fabulous new dressing gown, it's quite possibly the most luxurious item I own, ankle length with a hood in the softest velvety fleece, 20% off in m&s but still pricey (I'm a thrifty divil normally) It's pure indulgence but it's a early birthday pressie to me. Kids keep trying to curl up on it like cats!

Hopefully · 15/09/2016 20:56

not the dressing gown sounds glorious! I have new nightwear/loungewear on my rewards list, but not for a couple more lbs yet, so I shall lounge vicariously Grin.

cinder well done on the loss! I would have gone biscuit over coffee every time. Then probably given in and had the coffee too.

loli well done on the walk! I hate being without my scales. I'm a little obsessive about daily weighing, which probably isn't ideal, but it doesn't impact on my life beyond needing to weigh (ie it doesn't ruin my day if I'm up a bit), so I can't bring myself to be too concerned. DH and I had scales war recently when we were both going away (separately), over who got to take the scales!

Kitchen closed at a decidedly rubbish 1,800, but I burned around 300 calories with various walks and a by of yoga, so at least I shouldn't show a gain tomorrow. Would be very happy to maintain my new low!

It's going to be a trying weekend, calorifically speaking, as we have DC1's birthday on the sat and party on sun, so cakes (and cake baking) both days. Not eating my own body weight in cake mix is the usual challenge at times like this. That and party food. DH makes the best sausage rolls.

madein1995 · 15/09/2016 21:44

Not ooh sounds lovely! Perfect for the cold winter nights Smile Bootcamp also sounds really good,I hope you enjoy it!

cinderbelly I used to use the fitnessblender videos on youtube to get ideas, they were quite easy going and you can adapt them to your abilities if you need to

call that's a really good calorie intake, I tend to try find it difficult to get under the 1100's

loli it's amazing that you're able to stick to it while on holiday, you're so strong. Am sure you'll be pleasently surprised when you're home

wally that's really good, I've thought about trying something like that but my main worry is that I'll lose and then put it all back on, maybe an idea for further down the line for me - when if I lose a bit but then put some back on at least I wouldn't be right back to the begining, must e good for shifting the last few pounds too!

dawhead oh poor you, knees can be absolute bastards! If it doesn't improve soon get some over the counter co codamol maybe - not very strong but better than paracetamols. Have you seen your GP? If not I'd really suggest going because it's best to catch these things early Smile. Propping your leg up on a pillow should help, and be careful to try to bend it a little bit so it doens't seize up she speaks from bitter experience swimming or even just walking in the swimming pool would help too.

In at 1243 today. Breakfast I had scrambled eggs on wholemeal toast. Went for a swim afterwards and managed 6 lengths backstroke with only a few mins rest, need to work on my doggy paddle though! (For some reason I'm better at backstroke - is probably because I'm horizontal so feels more relaxing). Lunch (if you can call it that, at 3pm) was the overnight oats - oats, strawberry yogurt and banana- I'd made for breakfast. Tea was a slimming workd ready meal - beef ragu - and pasta and 30g cheese. Won't buy it again, I prefer mine (veg not chopped to my specifications and not saucy enough). Then had 2 10 cal hartley jellys. Had a caramel freddo 10 mins ago as needed something chocolatey. Resisted chip shop though - parents brought some home and as I'd already eaten I said no thanks to extra (bar nicking 2 chips) which is progress because I know that before I would have had a small portion. May have a cup of tea later on. Just waiting for new tricks to start now. Weighed over gym out of curiosity and it said id maintained - considering I had a belly full of egg and toast and water etc I'm really hopeful for a loss on Monday. Preferably one of 2 pounds or more, but anything in the right direction really.

SesameSparkle · 15/09/2016 22:21

cora good luck for weigh in

cinder coffee is loads better than crisps, I've had 2 milky americanos today, so I should know.....

not gown sounds great - and to think I was looking at that discount code wondering whether to get some new knickers....

hopefully good luck for the weekend. Maybe let the kids lick the bowl instead? unless it's chocolate cake Wink

made I prefer swimming on my back too, or just floating would be even better (although no good for calorie loss Hmm)

Kitchen closed on 1893. So 230 over. I thought I was doing really well with my 100cal pud (cooked apple and blackberries with yoghurt), but then I had some dark chocolate.... Better than yesterday though and would pretty much be maintenance for me. I've done over 10,000 steps so hopefully that will help keep me on track.

Not2bObvious · 15/09/2016 22:33

Thank you all, twirls in luscious pale pink gown (well metaphorically, in reality lying in bed after taking it off cause I was too warm😊) I'm a sucker for the 20% off, tried on 2 amazing pairs of boots but couldn't spend that much with holiers coming up and have many many many pairs of boots
Full of indigestion after bad eating, I never learn. Can't be that many cals in rennie???

Hopefully · 16/09/2016 05:24

Another 0.2lb down today, taking me down below 10st 3lb (just!). Going to try to do plenty of walking today to keep the loss going. I have to say that walking has been an incredible benefit to my loss this time. The yoga keeps me fit and toned etc, but actually the weeks when I manage 45-60 mins walking every single day are the ones when I lose. Given that I'm not into an overweight BMI and am relatively active during the day anyway, I'm surprised (but pleased!) that something as low impact as walking makes a difference. I'm always surprised at the calories MFP grants for it - even if I mentally halve them, it's still a good extra calorie burn every day for basically no effort.

Not2bObvious · 16/09/2016 07:51

Down .6 to 11.3 but tmi I need a poo😫 But it just ain't happening! So .6 of a pound since last Friday, just shy of 2.5 over 2 weeks. I guess even being marginally better behaved last weekend wasn't enough. And I have my dc2's birthday this weekend so cake & rubbish galore on the horizon. Well done hope, I agree the walking does make an impact, I was great at getting my 10,000 steps a day in - this week not great. I feel like I'll never see 10'something on the scales although if I lost 3.5 over the next 3 weeks I would. Ok, I'm committed to have a good Friday to Sunday, even if Sunday is going to be a challenge.
Anyway if I keep on track today, and not too much 🍷tonight, I'll see 11.3 or less tomorrow on the scales. Low carb day today me thinks. Hope we all have a lovely Friday, good luck Friday weighers 😉

BendydickCuminsnatch · 16/09/2016 07:55

Oh hello everyone! Please can I join? Didn't notice you guys here.
