Great Trimmer, are you planning on sticking to it over the weekend? For me, that's when I have to be extra motivated. Just weighed in and I've finally lost another lb. I'm getting close to goal now so will have to start thinking about setting a new one.

That is really good Fairenuff. firesafety great you are still with us.

Right. Healthy eating and not snacking so much Blush fallen by the wayside a bit here - it starts again tomorrow.

The exercise is going well, I have taken to running as a hobby and would like to get faster. Ran about 3 miles earlier today. I am doing about 1.5 miles tomorrow and a 10 minute exercise DVD full of planks!

Come back friends!.... let's climb back on the wagon.

GettinTrimmer · 05/05/2016 20:16

Thinking through food for tomorrow:

Breakfast x2 eggs, scrambled, mushrooms and half slice toast
Snack carrot sticks and cherry tomatoes
Lunch couscous and chick pea salad
Snack Banana and orange
Evening meal fahitas (quorn and veg) with home made guacamole and salsa
Evening snack - apple and cadbury hi lights

Exercise - 10 min dvd flat belly fast Hmm and run for 1.5 miles

My appetite has increased and willpower waned, but it is mind over matter. Really would like to lose some more before my birthday in July.

Fairenuff · 05/05/2016 20:54

Brilliant on the running and planking. I expect your appetite has increased because of the increased exercise. I've pretty much got used to not snacking now but if I do I try to go for walnuts or brazil nuts as whilst they are high in fat, it's the good kind of fat and they're so good for you. Just have to make sure I don't have too many!

firesafety · 06/05/2016 13:09

Stayed the same, well no I lost 100g lol - but that was probably my watch. Grin
After the last three weeks I'm happy with that.

9/10 lbs will take me to the top of healthy bmi so that's my next target, preferably before holidays in July as I definitely want to fall into the healthy weight category by my birthday in August.

firesafety · 06/05/2016 13:12

I struggle with the whole exercising whilst dieting and need to work on a healthy balance as if I'm not careful I feel wiped out after exercise midweek (when I'm stricter).

Fairenuff · 06/05/2016 16:52

Weight loss is something like 80% diet I think so exercise isn't essential but it does benefit in lots of other ways such as toning, building muscle, balance, flexibility, bone density, etc. You can do pilates or just go for a walk if high intensity exercise is too tiring.

But you do have to be stricter on the diet and get used to turning down all the tempting offers. We had lots of cake at work today as it was someone's birthday but I didn't have any. It was hard to resist at the time but now I'm glad I did Halo Grin

Fairenuff · 08/05/2016 11:18

Guess what?

I'm so excited
And I just can't hide it
I'm about to reach my goal and I think I like it
I'm so excited
And I just can't hide it
And I know
I know
I know
I know
I know
I want to

Grin

Another lb off.

How is everyone else getting on. Did the predicted heatwave arrive where you are? It's ok here, warmer than yesterday but the wind has got up. I'm thinking of going for a walk along the coast this afternoon in order to avoid lazing around on the sun lounger in the garden.

Do you find it easier or harder in the summer?

GettinTrimmer · 08/05/2016 13:16

Blimey Fairenuff well done!!! OK, your goal almost gained is my new goal - 21lb. I am feeling like I am edging back into the groove. Are you celebrating with new clothes? Treating yourself with non food treats of course?!

What I find with exercise is that it keeps me from gaining weight, and more definition to waist (but still wobbly bits on top of the toned up bits!).

Another push for me. How is everyone doing? Come back!!

Fairenuff · 08/05/2016 18:48

Thanks Trimmer. I have clothes in all sorts of sizes so don't really need new ones. I think seeing the figure on the scales is enough of a reward at the moment.

Good idea to set yourself a small goal. I find it helps to get there and just try to maintain it before moving on. Seems to make it stick better somehow.

firesafety · 08/05/2016 22:35

Well done fairenuff!

Yes it is predominantly diet, but the ultimate aim is to be fitter generally, rather than just thinner, so I need the exercise too - I don't do anything too intense, I am very much only one step away from a couch potato, lol. I've shaped up more in the last few months even though I've not lost that much actual weight, so it's been useful, and I am terrible at saying no to tempting treats Blush
