Hi everyone,

Someone give me a good talking to please Sad Brew really gone off the boil with food at the moment. Had a poor night's sleep last night and I am suspecting that was why I was so hungry today, the body needed energy and sent signals to have a few biscuits and a bag of crisps (low fat though!) and other little morsels that add up. I really sympathise with you Error and GBB broken sleep can throw us off course, I know both of you have little dc.

Difficult with 2 dc as I keep stuff in for them to have, my dd eats like a pony but nothing touches her as she is very active 11 year old being a gymnast and does cartwheels, the splits (ouch! She does them 3 ways, but not all at once Grin) and back flips all the time.

I am planning on recording everything I eat tomorrow. It's like every time there is a celebration, school holidays or something it's difficult to climb back on wagon.

Anyway... welcome Dream I do running and yoga also. Do you go to a class for yoga? I've been going for 3 weeks and it's hatha yoga, I come out feeling as if tension has melted away.

Jelli well done on your 2lb! Agree it felt so good during the parkrun to just get round, lovely team spirit and camaraderie. The lad who came in first, year above my ds at school (so 14/15) did it in 16 minutes! I am off out running again tomorrow and also some strength exercises, I think x2 of Davina arms and core, with the running I think Jillian might land me on the sofa for the rest of the day! Tuesdays I don't work so looking forward to the exercise.

Hope you are all OK. Keep going everyone.

Theythinkimworking · 12/04/2016 12:32

Hey all
Well done to everybody who is doing the exercise and shifting the pounds!

I fairly went to shite myself the last week. Was under pressure with work and bad weather so very little exercise done. tSaturday had a meal out and a booze fuelled birthday party . Sunday hangover munchies .... Monday an oversized buttery ciabatta sandwich from a cafe eaten on the hoof as my meetings went on and on and on..... plus severely harmed a lot of biscuits yesterday for feeling tired and crappy and fighting a headcold.

So far I'm up 1.6lb. Back on the wagon again.

And... the party was worth it. We dont go crazy like that too often :)

firesafety · 12/04/2016 20:30

It's so difficult when something upsets your rhythm isn't it? Don't sabotage yourselves...says she who is also having a stressful week for various reasons and it's taking all my willpower not to over-indulge in chocolate. And I know I'll struggle tomorrow as I'm working with a lovely colleague who is a bit of a feeder anyway, and we'll be discussing stressful work situation. Then depending on time I've a couple of events tomorrow night where will no doubt be nibbles. Gah - so many opportunities to overeat!

Exercise good though - swim, gym and several walks. Hopefully will have a walk and swim in the morning before work. Weigh- in at the gym on Friday,, eek!

firesafety · 12/04/2016 20:31

I've got a booze-fuelled party this Saturday, and a weekend away next weekend.

I do fully intend to enjoy both...

DreamADream · 13/04/2016 07:35

School holidays are a nightmare, I'm so glad I've worked through them this time. It's far too easy to just sit and eat otherwise. I'm trying to get into the habit of buying in snacks that I don't eat for the kids so the temptation isn't there, but the crisp aisle is torture for me!

gettin I used to go to an ashtanga class, but haven't been for months. It is an amazing feeling when you walk out though and feel so much lighter!

I'm feeling quite minging today, had dinner out last night and it didn't really agree, I think they used loads of oil. I was good though and had bruschetta and spaghetti pomodoro and turned down a side of chips. They had zucchini fries as well which I love!

Definitely feeling like I'm losing though, I can feel my hip bones when I lie down now and my tummy's starting to dip in when I lie down too.

Hope every one has a good day!

GettinTrimmer · 13/04/2016 15:17

Dream yes, I was ill after eating a very oily meal at Jamie Oliver's Italian, doesn't always agree with me either. I am impressed by turning down chips! My favourite (of of them...). Good feeling losing weight, someone said yesterday I look slimmer.

firesafety you and me both doing OK with the exercise, I'm off to the parkrun again on Saturday Smile off to yoga tonight, planning on more running tomorrow. I was so hungry at work today, trouble is the exercise increases apetite sometimes. Just had a good lunch, not eating again until after yoga, then will be salad.

Theythink well done on climbing back on wagon. Not easy! Life happens.

I've ordered a fitbit from Avon catalogue - reduced from £40 to £25, I am skeptical as it's so cheap. Hope it works, worth a try in any case. Anybody else got one?

firesafety · 13/04/2016 22:26

Oh fgs.

Was awake at ridiculous o'clock this morning, and have endured a sugar fest. Hmm. Colleague did provide a small amount but I factored that in (pain au choc and a chewy bar - so breakfast) then I discovered she'd made a chocolate cake too.... I also forgot my lunch so had a bag of monster munch. Then a couple of biscuits tonight, although I did evade a social event so no additional nibbles. Ok, not healthy at all other than fruit and a small piece of cheese, but I think I stayed within limits. Just about.

Slower-paced walk and shorter slower-paced swim (unsurprisingly tbh given how knackered I was). No walk this evening either because I had other commitments. That's said - an hour's lightweight movement is better than nowt.

MABS · 14/04/2016 08:35

Hi all - can i come back please? been away for a bit on a great holiday in Borneo but I am disgusted with myself. Put on FIVE lbs :( :( gym and abstinence starts for me on Monday...

Miloarmadillo1 · 15/04/2016 13:30

Hi mabs if you can't relax the diet on holiday, when can you? Hope you had a great time.
I'm doing ok, another pound off this week. I have been OK with food, not so great with exercise, haven't really fitted in anything over and above my normal activity. I walk a lot but it's not enough to get me fit.
I live near the Little Stoke park run that has caused all the hoo-ha this week, quite tempted to go along just in solidarity. They have cancelled this week, but I would think that just means the other local park run will be mobbed.

Error404usernamenotfound · 15/04/2016 17:25

Good to see you back, MABS, hope you had a fab holiday! Welcome to the thread, too, Dream.

Well done, all you exercisers - I'm still to do anything other than walking!

I've sts this week, but my mojo has left me again, and I keep stress-eating. I have a big deadline next week (I swear naughty food helps me study), then only 1 exam in May, so things should be easier soon.

firesafety · 15/04/2016 18:58

A holiday is to be enjoyed Mabs! Including the food.

I've lost 1.5 kg. chuffed. Although I cut right back on food, to the extent that the exercise has suffered, so need to find a better balance. The loss was much needed though as I'm now finally below where I was last summer, and I've got three big events on in the next three weeks.

Next long-term target - to hit bmi healthy weight - 9 lb,

MABS · 16/04/2016 09:52

Well done Fire and thanks for the 'welcome backs' to all.

I start again Monday i promise...

GettinTrimmer · 16/04/2016 18:49

Hi all, did park run again today, better time than last week. Just about to get my fitness tracker set up, even thought I've done 5K race, don't think I've done 10000 steps today.

MABS welcome back, 5lb will soon come off.

Firesafety and Milo well done on losses.

Enjoy Saturday night all. I'm vegging in front of telly with dd watching Britain's got talent!

MABS · 17/04/2016 10:55

well done Gettingtrimmer. Back on it tmro i promise... :)

Jellibelli · 17/04/2016 17:31

Hi,

This week ive sts but exercise was a little lax again, i really am having difficulty motivating myself! Help! I am continuing mfp and calories and carbs are good, despite a couple of meals out. But I need to get a grip with the exercise. I think i need to go back to 20 mins as i have struggled to get out of bed for the 30 mins i intended to do. Hmmmm!

Well done trimmer on the park run and milo and fire on the losses. Mabs, I think a 5lb gain is worth it for a Borneo holiday

GettinTrimmer · 18/04/2016 07:25

Morning Smile

Jelli I have a DVD called '10 minute solutions' blast off belly fat' it is x5 10 minute workouts. Definitely not a walk in the park! They are short, and when out of the loop they're over before you know it - people are commenting that I look like I've lost weight, but I think it's more pummeled in!

Weighed in yesterday, I have still yet again sts. However, clothes are more comfortable - must be exercise, but I must, really must get into the groove with the food. The 17lb I've lost have stayed off. Meal plan for today is scrambled eggs with half slice of toast for breakfast, chick pea and couscous salad for lunch and big salad for dinner - with a small slice of home made pizza. Oh, and a bowl of soup at lunch time to fill me up.

Have a good day all.

GettinTrimmer · 18/04/2016 07:25

Jelli if you are interested in the DVD it is only about £3 on Amazon!

Jellibelli · 18/04/2016 09:02

Thanks trimmer will look into it tonight :)

MABS · 18/04/2016 17:14

didn't even get to gym, but eaten little.

firesafety · 18/04/2016 21:01

I didn't make it to the gym either, but I've walked x 3 and I've not eaten much today, having stuffed myself silly over the weekend. Oops!

MABS · 19/04/2016 07:18

good for the walking firefly, i didn't :(

GettinTrimmer · 19/04/2016 15:17

Tomorrow's another day MABS, not much food will be be your calorie deficit.

Firefly good on you for the walking! My cheap imitation of a fitbit is very eye opening - at work (my job is sedentary) the graph movement of the few hours I am there is telling. Time to look for another job, getting very fed up with the inactivity.

Have been running today with friend along the seafront, also did Davina 15 minute Core. Less said about food the better Blush book club last night I had nuts, crisps and vegetable crisps. At least I walked on the treadmill to try and get close to 10,000 steps, so difficult on a work day - will be impossible on a Friday when I am there all day. Today I am on 11562 steps already.

How's everybody else doing? Keep going everyone!

MABS · 20/04/2016 07:32

3 of the extra 5lbs off today so nearly back down t starting (high) weight. Going to start slimmingworld today and see what happens... Just not go my mojo back with the gym at all sadly :(

firesafety · 20/04/2016 21:50

Shocking day. Hit the carbs big style. Lots of stress. Away for the weekend, will come back to it next week.

Jellibelli · 20/04/2016 23:35

Oh dear we are having a mixed week aren't we? I too am struggling with exercise motivation. I would just rather sty in bed a bit longer, but at the same time I dont think just a tenminute DVD will cut the mustard, arrrghhhh! I think I need a new DVD commitment, but havent quite found it yet.

Food still all on track although i did have the (boredom) mujchies on Sunday while i was studying, they were 'only' wasabi peas but you know how carby legumes can be Hmm , otherwise pretty much on the straight and narrow food wise.
