W2 R2 done at 7am.
3.79km in total.

I like going out first thing. I find I run better and feel it less than if it leave until later in the day. I'm certainly not one of those people who can run the evening. Not least because I find it too hard to motivate myself once I hit the sofa!

Well done on completing w6, 001.

How's your knee, beautydiva?

JJRJ1002 · 24/03/2016 17:46

Hi ladies
I'm doing this too- I'm on week 2 day 3. I thought I was doing well until I saw how fast everyone was going on the treadmill- I've been using the treadmill too but have been running at 6.4 as I thought it was supposed to be just a jog? I'll have to up the speed.
How much weight has everyone lost?

Beautydiva · 24/03/2016 19:01

Thanks Natty! I wasn't well since last run so no exercise and no knee pain until today.
And today I did aerobics and squats and knee has started to get uncomfortable again!

Well done 001!

JJ I ran on 9 for two weeks as initially it was for few seconds now I find it hard to sustain on high speed for long.

Weight wise I have lost some pounds due to exercise (strength training and cardio)+couch25k and clean eating.

Week 9 run 3 (final) completed! Delayed by illness and Easter but so happy to get to the end! Going to mix up running with new gym classes and then use the podcasts as suggested for 5k+! Keep going everyone!

AnnaChronism · 04/04/2016 13:38

I've recovered from an operation and I've been building my strength up to walking at least 5k a day so now I'm ready to get back to running.

Apologies if this has been done to death but is there an app that times 1 minute of walking and 1 minute of running? One that you can change the timings on as you build up? I find I'm a danger to myself when walking/running as I'm always looking at the stopwatch on my phone!

Beautydiva · 04/04/2016 15:48

Week 8 - Run 1 - 28 minutes.

AnnaChronism · 04/04/2016 21:17

Thank you beauty that sounds perfect.

00100001 · 05/04/2016 08:32

I completed my 28 min run - did 4.08km in 28 minutes. So I'm still on target for under 7min per KM, but need to pick things up.

Next time I am going to concentrate on running at 160bpm and slightly lengthening my strides.

OP posts:
peasareevilcreatures · 05/04/2016 10:04

I haven't been on here for ages (since my first 20 minute run!)
I can now run for 20 minutes consistently but I haven't moved on from that much and haven't even started week 6.
I've just been working on consolidating that 20 minutes, I know I could do 25 now and maybe 28 but I'm on the treadmill mostly and I get bored after 20 mins.
I really need to get outside and start running and back on C25K properly.

00100001 · 05/04/2016 10:39

I found changing my route made things less dull :)

OP posts:
Beautydiva · 05/04/2016 22:31

Week 5 run 1 done!
Don't think I have ever ran for 8 mins in one go. Although I reduced speed a lot today.

Don't knows how am I going to do next 20 minutes run.

How did you guys manage it ? Jumping from 8 minutes to 20 looks a lot !

Beautydiva · 05/04/2016 22:33

Those who did on treadmill, on what speed did you run for 20 minutes ?

peasareevilcreatures · 05/04/2016 22:46

I normally have it set at 6.9 or seven with a 1% incline. I go pretty slowly. It takes me around 13 minutes to run a mile on the treadmill.
I find the first 5 minutes of running for 20 minutes is the hardest then my legs sort of settle into it and it gets easier.

00100001 · 06/04/2016 08:36

beauty it is just in your head. You I'll be able to do the longer run. In think the twenty mind I'd to show you how much you can do.

You'll be fine :)
