Evening everyone, hope you have all had a good day! i weighed myself this morning and weighed at 9 stone 5, quite surprised but happy! I suppose i did only have one meal yesterday, albeit a big one. Had chinese this evening with my friend to celebrate the Chinese new year. Was great.

Been thinking about Lent and what to give up/start. I'm not going to have any take aways and also start exercising more. Playing badminton or squash once a week is a good start and the runs have been fun too. I didnt go this evening, the weather has been bloody awful but tomorrow will start afresh!

Wow Emz didn't realise you'd got that low! I'm back down to 9st12.25 after yesterday's 1lb gain. It felt very odd eating maintenance calories yesterday, I kept feeling guilty for pigging out lol! I needed them though, was a super long day that started at 5am and finished at midnight.

Emz449 · 09/02/2016 10:43

Ouch sounds like a long day Jonty. Enjoy those maintenance calories!!

Yeah I know, it was a shock really. I need to eat more to be honest on a regular basis. Too easy after work not to bother!

Hi - room for another? Got 2 stone to lose. Just downloaded MFP and love it already.

MustBeThin · 09/02/2016 14:30

Welcome Prizey

Scales still at 12st 9 today. Grin I put a pair of jeans on today that used to be a little tight and they fit lovely now. Also need a new belt because mine is currently too big on the last hole so when I'm wearing it I still keep having to pull my jeans up.

Emz449 · 09/02/2016 14:55

Great NSV Must be! You should be proud Smile

Welcome Prizey!

Welcome prizey nice to have more people onboard. I'm really struggling, gone off the rails a bit. I know it's head burying but I'm not weighing in for a few days until I get my focus back. Off all junk & alcohol after today and I'd really like to get back on track with my exercise, haven't done anything in over a week. Not even a walk 😩 I'm over exercise as a way to lose weight, does flip all for me but it makes me feel less...antsy/low. Anyway enough of the pity post, tomorrow is a new day and I'm planning on seizing it 😉

MustBeThin · 09/02/2016 17:46

Thanks Emz Grin

You'll be fine Not2b get back on the wagon! Just think if you get back on track how much you could lose by summer. That's all I keep thinking about, it'll be nice to wear thinner clothes and shorter sleeves when it's boiling hot. I really hate my arms. Sad I haven't done any extra exercise at all yet, keep thinking I should really do something to help tone my arms that doesn't require going to the gym, anyone have any ideas?

My big goal is for the first full week of June when I see some family members that I won't have seen since last September, I want to have lost 2 stone by then, it's 17 weeks away and I have 16lbs left to lose to reach my 2 stone target so will need to lose 1lb a week. I will weigh 11st 7 then. Grin I won't have been that weight for about 7-8 years.

Then I'll come back home and cry when I've put weight on while visiting family for 2 weeks and then get back on the horse. I don't know what weight I want to end up, maybe just an healthy bmi so 9 or 10 stone something. I will actually run down my street naked if I ever get to that weight, I'm sure my skeleton weighs more than 9st. Grin

StewardsEnquiry · 09/02/2016 17:51

9 st 13 exactly this morning.

I do want to lose a few more pounds but I am happy for them to come off very slowly now so I might start moving slightly towards maintenance calories too.

Emz I suppose it is just trial and error working out how much you need to eat to maintain rather than lose.

Jonty you have so much energy I don't know how you do it.

PrizeyPrize · 09/02/2016 18:41

Thanks for the welcomes....damn I ate one more pancake than I planned to....it was very thin and made with no oil. And only had lemon and canderel on.....so I don't feel too bad Blush

Emz449 · 09/02/2016 19:42

Not2, if you just lose a lb a week you could be 20lbs by the end of June, thats a lot of weight! I hope you can get back on track, did you mention that you were planning on giving up chocolate for lent? That will make a big difference

Yeah definitely Stewards, difficult to get back into the thought that i'm not dieting but at the same time don't want to go the other way and get complacent. I'm thinking that exercise will be the best way for me to maintain

Can I join you all please?

I'm currently 11st 10lb and hoping to loose around 3st by eating healthily, counting calories and doing to C25K programme. Using MFP to track everything. Oh and I'm also going to give up chcolate and sweet stuff for lent!

mommathatwearspink · 09/02/2016 19:49

*chocolate

Emz449 · 09/02/2016 21:09

Welcome Momma! Nice to have you with us Smile

Not2bObvious · 09/02/2016 22:27

thanks emz, bit concerned I'll be 3-4 weeks undoing my last fling with the afore mentioned wine/choc/crisps. Skinny Jeans felt uncomfortably too skinny today. But hey, that's what fresh starts are for. Last of the winter wine drank, last few crisps hoovered up, chocolate duly disposed of in my greedy gob
Game on 😁

JontyDoggle37 · 10/02/2016 06:53

Morning all, manic day ahead, haven't weighed just stuffed some breakfast down.
Bath are you lurking, haven't heard from you for a while, hope you're ok?

mommathatwearspink · 10/02/2016 07:56

Morning everyone, hope you are all ok.
Grab and go breakfast of a banana this morning. Will be doing my first C25K run tonight... not looking forward to it but I'll be pleased with myself once I'm home again.

MustBeThin · 10/02/2016 08:15

Weighed in at 12st 11 today, almost died! I know it's not proper weight because I had less than 1100 cals yesterday. It's my last day taking the pill, I feel bloated as hell and I had around 4.5 hours sleep last night. Feel like steamrolled shit tbh, I couldn't face eating my toast so only had half a slice and half of my tea. On a day like this I'd get something large sugary and full of caffeine from starbucks before I get the train but I have a bottle of water instead. To top it off some bloke has decided to sit his arse at the same table as me with his big stupid laptop and sandwiches when there's other table seats empty, what is wrong with people?! If you happen to stumble across someone that looks like a pissed off zombie today, chances are it'll be me just give me a little wave. Sad

Not2bObvious · 10/02/2016 08:24

Ah must, you'll be grand in a couple of hours, forget the scales for a day or 2 and next time you get on, you may even be under 12.9!
Well it's not2bovious ver. 2.0 reporting for duty. Did 2 x 7 min Davina's this morning, easing my way in, had a delicious & nutritious brekkie of wholegrain toast topped with a little advocado & a poached egg. Aiming to drink more water today & get a walk in. Lovely slag Bol (aka spag Bol) for dinner with wholewheat pasta. Lunch will possibly be a bowl of porridge, does fill me up nicely. Not weighing in until Friday. I won't be surprised if I'm 12 something again but I'm ok with that, it should drop down quick enough with all the sugary/salty/alcohol missing from my diet. Bath, where you at? Come say hi

Not2bObvious · 10/02/2016 08:26

And big congrats must on breaking the trend of comfort eating, that's an nsv! Very proud 😘

ThatIsSoFetch · 10/02/2016 09:28

I've decided to give up takeaways for lent- what is everyone else giving up? Really wanted to give up chocolate but physically don't think I'd be able to go without!

Not2bObvious · 10/02/2016 09:38

I've given up chocolate every year for about 10 years Fetch, honestly it's not that bad but then I don't do Lent, I slay Lent 😁 It's the one time of year I have iron will. I am having a quivery lip about the wine though...I will be breaking that one for Paddys Day as is tradition round here

StewardsEnquiry · 10/02/2016 10:41

I am going to give up bread for Lent. I have put my MFP to lose 0.25kg a week (having previously been 0.5) and my calories have increased to 1440 daily so I feel all giddy! I do want to lose a few more lbs but a steady transition to maintainace also feels right just now. I'm working really hard at the moment so a few more calories will be welcome.

MustBeThin · 10/02/2016 18:22

Right I'm back! Feeling ok now, I've done a lot of walking about today, had a jacket potato for lunch with tuna mayo and I've just had haddock and veg for tea. Better be back to 12st 9 next time I weigh in, it can't possibly be fat when I've eaten well below my calories everyday and I've not been naughty at all Hmm and I've gone up 2lbs in a day. 2 bloody pounds.

Emz449 · 10/02/2016 19:17

Glad you're feeling better Mustbe!

Played squash during lunch today and it was great, won all the games i played Grin
