Found you!!!!!!

Weigh Day for me and have finally broken through the 10st barrier! The scales are at 9.13!! happy!!

Due a review at the gym soon, hoping my measurements reflect the weight loss and hard work at the gym!

Been eating lots of home made soup this week, brown off some diced chicken, a bag of soup veg from asda, stock cube, water, simmer for 45 mins and blitzed in the blender. And have also discovered Dutch crispbakes, only 68 cals, lovely with a bit of low fat Philly on!

That's super testa! The 9 stone club has another member eh 😁
Still feeling very bunged up and still 11.12.4, which at least isn't up any further. Ended yesterday around 2000 which isn't the worst for a Friday (well for me that is)
Thanks jonty for the encouragement, you're dead right, I'll get there - not in a week or a month - can't quite crack the 1-2lb a week dieting seems to promise but I'm getting there, I'm in a much better place than I was last year and last year was truly hard.

Keep at it Not2b, you'll get there, I was very excited this morning. Made up for a rather crap week at work! Sat having sushi at yo sushi now!

Woohoo! 9st 12.25 this morning - I wanted to get to 9st 12 by today and that's close enough for me! Off shopping later, hoping to get 2-3 pairs jeans, lots of underwear, a blazer and a couple of tops.😄

Not2bObvious · 07/02/2016 07:43

Wow jonty, that's brilliant! You earned that shopping spree, come back later and do us a fashion show (well virtual fashion show😉)

Well done Testa and Jonty the bloody 9's, that's brilliant! Hope you have a lovely day shopping Jonty

Got on the scales today and I'm 12st 10 Grin hurrah, so again it's been 6 days since I lost my last pound. I wasn't expecting the scales to go down today. Only another 3lb until I lose a stone and 1lb until I'm 12st and a single digit. Smile

Must you're doing so well, can't believe you've lost 11lbs since you started such a short time ago, well done

Report
MustBeThin · 07/02/2016 11:55

Thanks Not2b Smile I can't believe it either, this is the most I've ever lost! I'm feeling so motivated. Grin I just keep thinking one day I will be able to do a clothes shop like Jonty and actually enjoy it. I currently hate clothes shopping and only do it when I really need to. Im also more aware of the amount of calories in everything and realise if I make better choices I can eat more for less calories. I ate a Black Magic egg the other day because I was well under my calories, it was a little bit bigger than a Cadburys mini egg and over 50 calories. Hmm I can eat a jaffa cake for less than that and it's more substantial. Before I'd think nothing of it and probably eat the whole pack of eggs. Blush

Hi I started MFP on 7th January. I'm doing ok, lost 6 pounds so far but starting to lose motivation. I thought perhaps joining in with some weightloss chat might get me going a bit again.
I was walking every night after work and doing 10,000 steps every day but finding it hard to fit it in. The dc have so many clubs at night! Looking forward to the lighter nights when I can go out a bit later.
I have recently started running, very slowly I hasten to add, but I can do just over 2k without stopping.
I am getting a bit sloppy with my mfp diary as well so I need a kick up the bum! Do any of you have any recommendations for good places to find recipes for quick, low-cal meals?

Welcome alec, the MFP blog is quite good for that actually. We all often share ideas on here too. Tonight I'm making tagliatelle with some leeks and garlic softened in a little olive oil, with a few crumbs of Stilton thrown in at the end for a flavour boost. Haven't put it in MFP yet but I don't expect it will be over 400 cals.

Right, shopping expedition and weight loss decisions:
Shopping (most important first!): I bought a black blazer, a white fitted shirt, 3 pairs of jeans (2 black, one blue), a black drapey top, a pair of black suede ankle boots, a beautiful pair of black embroidered flat shoes, and about four pairs of tights. I got the lot for just under £150, which I'm pleased with as we're on a very tight budget just now. We went to Tesco (jeans, top and boots), Sainsburys (flat shoes and jeans), New Look (jeans) and H&M (blazer and shirt). If anyone is looking for a pair of back straight cut jeans that make your bum look bloomin' marvellous, get yourself to Sainsburys! Super comfortable and only £18 too!
Onto weight loss decisions: DH has asked me not to lose the extra three pounds I was planning on. He's worried it will be too much and reminded me I'm having a personal trainer session this week to tackle my tummy, which is really the only area in still trying to reduce. So I'm going to go gradually on to maintenance the next few days. I must admit, with everything I have going on at the moment, it will be great to be able to give my body a bit more fuel! I think MFP is being over generous though - I was on 1490 to lose 1.5lbs per week, and now it's saying I should 2180 to maintain...700 a day extra seems like an awful lot...I'm going to do 1700-1800 a day for a few days and see if my weight stabilises or keeps going down and figure it out from there.
Epic post, hope you made it to the end!🙄😜

Thanks for the welcome Jonty. Sounds like you got some real bargains today. I can't wait to go on a shopping spree when I have lost my weight. I have several bags of clothes in the loft my sister gave me when she lost lots of weight so I will at last have some for half way!
Is the mfp blog on the website?

Welcome alec4! I actually really like the bbc good food website, they have a healthy section with recipes for under 400 calories.

Jonty sounds like a good day! Reasonable too considering the amount you bought!

No running today, exhausted so having a film evening. Haven't been able to manage dinner. Completely stuffed after lunch!

Welcome Alec
Sounds like you had a fab day Jonty

Well got on the scales this morning to see its down another 1lb Shock hurrah, 12st 9 I'm into 12st single digits. So this week has gone the same as last week. Took me 6 days to lose 1lb then the next day I lost another 1lb. Very strange. Grin 2lbs away from a 1 stone.

1lb gain today, but that will be the Wagamamas I had for lunch yesterday- it was fab! First day on maintenance, planning to add a bit more protein to lunch and some seeds on my porridge this morning.

You did well with what you spent jonty, the clothes sound fab. Another pound off must, you are really doing amazing! I'm on the last 2 days of choc etc. Ate too much over the weekend but what's new there eh? At least this weekend my calories should drop dramatically with no booze or junk. Feel bloated and yuck, eating light as I can

Morning all. I lost 1lb last week so down to 11.2. Long way off from joining the 9 stone club!!
I really struggle at the weekends too. In the week I can live off porridge, soups, salads etc but at the weekend I crave all the carbs and end up undoing all my hard work!

Very jealous jonty, I can't wait to get back into my size 10's!!
Well done must your doing so well keep it up!!
A lb off today, weighed a day early this week, just as I was anxious about the effects of my Indian on Saturday, albeit I did stick to tandoori chicken, and shared a naan and dipped into DH's makhani sauce!! But proud I didn't cave when everyone else's looked soooo amazing!!!
10lbs to go!!!!

Report
aleC4 · 08/02/2016 19:52

Thankful well done for not caving in with the Indian!
ThatIs I find weekends really hard too. They are so busy ferrying the kids to and from different hobbies and sports that I don't feel like cooking. I just want something easy that I can stick in the oven.
I am going to have a look on the blog on the MFP website as suggested by Jonty.
I really wanted to go out for a run tonight but by the time dh got home it was too dark. I am really wary of running in the dark , especially in the wind?rain as well! I will be doing a lot of walking round my living room tonight to get anywhere near my 10000 steps!
