I need to lose 3.5 stone - feel so fed up about it I am ignoring the mince pies and Thornton's chocolates! I have lost weight before with a great bunch of ladies on mn. I feel motivated to do the same again and this time keep it off, I went through my wardrobe and found a very stylish tunic I bought in the South of France that I wore once before gaining weight.

Whatever your approach - low carb, Weight Watchers, Slimmers World or healthy eating, all welcome to join me with motivational tips/chat to keep each other going. I find that I don't stick to any plan and eating at meals times/snack on veg and fruit/exercise works for me.

Look forward to chatting with whoever wants to join Smile

Not sure do is the right word! I began helping in s Sept, in Dec Brown Owl announced she was moving. The pack is now under joint leader ship of two total novicesGrin

helenahandbag · 05/01/2016 18:11

I started helping in October, it's fun but stressful! I do Rainbows too. They just don't ever stand still! They're never quiet!

We took 40 of them to the panto a few days before Christmas and the first thing I did when I got home was crack open the gin Grin

ThatsNotMyHouseItIsTooClean · 05/01/2016 18:48

Pistey I'm always really cold as soon as I think about dieting. I have had about 8 hot drinks today in an attempt to keep warm & away from the snacks.
Gettin I got the 15min & 7min Davis DVDs for Xmas last year but quickly went back to Jillian & the 30DS. I wasn't sure why but I just didn't like the Davina workouts.

Kim82 · 05/01/2016 18:57

Today didn't go quite as planned but I'm still within my allowance.

I didn't have any breakfast as I got distracted cleaning the house so I ended up having a packet of crisps (5 syns), banana and muller light at 11.30am then I had a curly wurly (6 syns) around 2.30pm. I had a ham, red onion, tomato and mushroom omelette for tea and it really filled me up. If I get peckish later I'll grab some grapes and strawberries and put some natural yoghurt over the top.

Been eating veg, smoothies and just a lot less crap. Fridge is now full of goodness and I've made 2 different pans of homemade soup to stop me having cake for lunch.

freshstart4us · 05/01/2016 20:27

MarkRuffalo soup-cake swap is inspirational.

So today has been ok, not necessarily great choices but decent portion control, then again the night is still young!

B: Vegemite on toast with skinny latte
L: Chicken sandwich
D: Very small portion of meatballs with linguine and puttanesca sauce, loads of steamed veg
S: morning and afternoon skinny lattes, and some cheese and crackers for afternoon snack because otherwise I would've eaten DS!

Need to boost nutrients and cut empty bread carbs by getting in fruit rather than starch, really hard though as I am famished ALL THE TIME. Obv dieting and bfeeding is not a natural combination!

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/01/2016 21:04

laughalot is CT in real life - less ive got confused, which is quite possible as im blonde Grin are you now myhouseisntclean?

and yes bebe sorry i forgot you :( or have you chnaged names and on this thread- thought she said on fb she was joining us
, plus smokin - tho she is still slim Envy

NoelHeadbands · 05/01/2016 22:12

Evening all

Crappy day today, bit hormonal, that's my excuse

B- avocado on sourdough (good)
L - abandoned the healthy salad I'd brought, in favour of canteen baked potato and beans (I have never had this combination before in my life, and never will again. Don't know what possessed me, apart from I was a bit chilly)
T- tin of soup and a baguette Hmm.

Snack- apple

Time to pull the socks up I think!

Will have a catch up through the thread now

GBBO15 · 05/01/2016 22:35

B- fruit, Greek yogurt, seeds
L- wholemeal toast / peanut butter
D- M&s Eatwell falafel and pitta
Snacks- macadamia and pecan nuts (too many). Chocolate 2 squares.

Not a great day, and to be honest so far not a great week! WI Friday and don't imagine will have lost. I've just started weaning my six month old daughter and trying to adjust to sudden drop of allowed ww points! Also DD has decided sleep is not for her, didn't get her down until 3am last night. And have big job interview Thursday so trying to fit in prep around everything else so just no time to exercise. I think if I can just not gain this week I'll be happy and really get started Friday...

Trimmer did you mention before a lunch you'd put together of lentils/beans? How did you make them into a meal?

ThatsNotMyHouseItIsTooClean · 05/01/2016 22:50

Is Bebe around too?
Fresh - when dieting & bfing, I always needed a substantial snack in the middle of the afternoon. It must have slowed my weight loss down but it saved me from eating the DC & attacking anyone who got in my way!
A complete fail here this evening...I was supposed to go for a run but ate 12 chocolates instead. This is all thanks to my period as, just before I'm due, I get light headed, hit a wall of tiredness and crave chocolate and only chocolate. I tried to avoid the chocolate and ate a carrot and an apple but then fell into the box of chocolates. Sigh. Tomorrow is a new day & all that.
Kim I'm nicking you topping ideas for when I have an omelette for lunch tomorrow.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/01/2016 22:59

just eaten a punnet of raspberries and about to feed bubs

i want chocolate and cheese!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/01/2016 23:00

noel jacket and beans is yummy, why didnt you like :(

or werent they heinz beans Grin

ThatsNotMyHouseItIsTooClean · 05/01/2016 23:19

I also meant to say that I felt very hard done by earlier as I bought some tortilla so I could make wraps which a very calorie conscious colleague used to live off and it was only when I had finished it that I discovered it was 190cals. I may as well have had two pieces of toast.

Blondes - how often is the baby waking for a feed?

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/01/2016 00:00

It's rare. Hasn't had a DF for weeks but he was a pain today and refused bedtime Feed and as only 5mths obv can't go from teatime 5pm (yes weaned before 6mths) to 7am so fed him at 11

He was sparko at 645 and not a peep and I fed him at 11 - or else would have woken up at 2/3am - but in a deep sleep at 11 so obv wasn't hungry for whatever trains or would have woken at 8/9/10

He is snoring bless him

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/01/2016 00:01

Reason not trains

GettinTrimmer · 06/01/2016 07:15

Morning all

Have to plan carefully today, have friend coming round for coffee when I would normally eat lunch, after work at 2.15pm, so just about to make tuna and pasta salad (going easy on the pasta!) to eat before I come home.

GBBO15 Sainsbury do packets of lentils and stuff like that, I had the lentil and kidney bean one, 1/2 packet on a bed of lettuce, tomato and cucumber. Spice tomato and chilli dressing to jazz it up a bit. A full fat pizza express dressing - just a bit - I didn't like this one as much as their quinoa and child pea one in the same range.

Won't have much time to exercise today, db coming for dinner. macaroni cheese, have to think this one through - smaller portion with large salad of some sort.

Just off to have breakfast - a hearty one of 2 eggs, toast and mushrooms. Have a good day all Smile

GettinTrimmer · 06/01/2016 07:16

chick pea not child pea!!

GBBO15 · 06/01/2016 07:34

Thanks Trimmer will check those out- looking for easy healthy lunch things as this is often where I go wrong...
Another night here of breastfeeding every 2 hours Sad. Bought No cry sleep solution on Amazon at 4am, fingers crossed it helps. So much harder to eat healthier/exercise etc when knackered.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/01/2016 07:38

MABS!!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/01/2016 07:46

Catching up, love that your Trimmer again

My daughter lives off those packet lentils / quinoa at university, she does a stir fry with chick and loads of greens and those, loads of the right kind of energy and carbs.

Omigodddd is it hard to do anything when knackered GBB - I used to wander around in a bubble, bless you, it will settle down. I'd make you a cup of tea if you were near me Smile

Tree must come down today. Did all the decs off it last night, just the lights and drag it out. Then hoover

and hoover

er and hoover

um and hoover

and then hoover

Then find pine needles Grin

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/01/2016 07:50

But, I digress!!

Have decided Wednesday will be my weigh in day! And I had started before this thread, only by a few days, so do bear this in mind, but I have lost 4lbs Wooooooohooooooooooooo! Think mostly because I physically haven't been so stuffed, and haven't been on the 'stickies' (amaretto etc)

Wow, well done Pistey! 4lb is an amazing loss! I'm impressed.

I was starving last night so ended up eating a couple of slices of melon and two weetabix. I hadn't had my healthy extra B yesterday though so was still within my allowance.

Today's meals are:

B - fruit and yoghurt
L - ham salad sandwich (wholemeal bread is healthy extra b) and a packet of crisps (5 syns)
D - jacket potato, tuna and salad

Snacks - lots of fruit, freddo chocolate bar (5 syns), muller light

Drinks - tea (milk using healthy extra a, no sugar), water, diet coke.

Kim82 · 06/01/2016 08:02

Hi all can I join?
I got back to work yesterday and had not been in five minutes and they had cracked out the sweets and biscuits. Why are people such as*holes? Wink
I know it's going to be hard but truly you would think they could manage to be a bit more considerate!

Rant over.
I have 4 stone to lose and I have signed up to do a 10k in October to try and motivated myself.
Hope you guys are all well and that the start of your weight loss has been successful xx

I didn't add myself either! Yesterday went well food-wise but I'm going to stay off the scales until Saturday as I'm up 0.5lbs, which just annoys me. I know that you shouldn't weigh daily due to fluctuations but I'm nosy Grin
