I need to lose 3.5 stone - feel so fed up about it I am ignoring the mince pies and Thornton's chocolates! I have lost weight before with a great bunch of ladies on mn. I feel motivated to do the same again and this time keep it off, I went through my wardrobe and found a very stylish tunic I bought in the South of France that I wore once before gaining weight.

Whatever your approach - low carb, Weight Watchers, Slimmers World or healthy eating, all welcome to join me with motivational tips/chat to keep each other going. I find that I don't stick to any plan and eating at meals times/snack on veg and fruit/exercise works for me.

Look forward to chatting with whoever wants to join Smile

horrendous but lovely boozie, social, foodie weekend. Being careful now but Weds wi will be bad

Bringonsummer · 25/01/2016 15:51

Vanished for a while sulking about 4lbs gain in 4 days. Some drowned sorrows, extreme carb loading and scales avoidance tactics and i am back. FD today and better behavior in future.

Still ignoring scales until they have had time to think about their actions!

Error404usernamenotfound · 25/01/2016 16:12

Well done on the weight loss, cabbage!

Bringon, I am not on speaking terms with my bathroom scale either; it refuses to confirm that my sudden 3lb gain was just bloat, the smug git Angry

Beginning to think it isn't bloat, and that the lower weight was the anomaly. The horror... Shock

Bringonsummer · 25/01/2016 16:24

error the lower weight is not the anomaly, clearer the earth has turned a little creating slightly more gravity based downward force on the scales at the minute - that's my argument and im sticking to it!

Error404usernamenotfound · 25/01/2016 16:34

I like your thinking, Bringon! Grin

ThatsNotMyHouseItIsTooClean · 25/01/2016 17:00

I was amused by your theories Bringon & Error.
I have been up since 3am with poorly DC who have diarrhoea. Despite the fact that DD has been up since then & DS since 5.30am and that they are on very limited rations, they have been full of beans & it has been a pretty tiring day. I was eating rubbish by 7am and have just gone from.one sugar high to the next. I am hoping to limit some of the damage by going for a run when DH gets back.

Bringonsummer · 25/01/2016 17:44

thatsnot DC always seem to bounce back from illness with such a high rebound. Mine are like the duracel bunny at the best of times. Meanwhile i find us poor sleep deprived parents get through best with caffeine, booze, sugar and carbs....... or is that just me Hmm?!

But im very impressed with the running to balance it all out. I have just bought a new pair of trainers to start c25k for the 4th time! Clearly it was the old trainers at fault, not my poor sleep deprived overweight body Grin

GettinTrimmer · 25/01/2016 17:55

I have new trainers coming tomorrow. Does anyone else have Oasics? they are supposed to be on the small size so ordered 1/2 size bigger. Feet aching from grotty old trainers.

Blondes happy anniversary Smile enjoy meal and hope you are better now.

Kim well done on 0.5 lb loss, a loss is a loss and it's going in the right direction!

that'snot feel knackered just reading your post, hope dc crash out early for you tonight. Do you take part in organised runs/5K/10K?

Piste alright? I'm off to Aldi tomorrow, hoping to pick up some cut price gin! And slimline tonic.

MABS A friend of mine does diet during week and goes mad at weekend, still loses 1lb per week. I'm liking the sound of your weekend!

GBBO15 · 25/01/2016 23:42

I have asics Trimmer and love them, they seem to fit my feet well. Though I'm hardly able to get out for a run at the minute as I have a six month old baby. I really miss it! Trying to make up for it with lots of long walks with the pram.

Error404usernamenotfound · 26/01/2016 09:14

Morning all!

Thatsnot, I hope your DCs are better. I completely sympathise with the need to consume your own body weight in sugar and caffeine to get through child illness; whatever keeps you sane, I say... Grin

Hope you had a lovely anniversary, Blondes Flowers

Sorry, Kim, I missed your previous post; congrats on the loss!

I still haven't sorted anything out about exercise yet, apart from the walking, which I do a lot of. Would like to do some strength training of some kind, but hate the gym, and can't really afford classes (finding the time for them is tricky too), so might dig out my old yoga dvd, and do some floor exercises in the mornings too.

GBBO15 · 26/01/2016 09:40

Error I use a website called yogaglo, it's brilliant as it has hundreds of yoga videos and you just type in the length of time, level etc that you want. Costs about £10/mth but worth it for me and if you're interested can do a free trial month.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 26/01/2016 09:41

Hola chums, catching up, been in Edinburgh over the weekend, back last night. Food has been tricky, but am back on it now!

Bringonsummer · 26/01/2016 09:56

My scales are still in the doghouse. Whilst a minor improvement to only saying 3lbs gained, their behaviour is still not good enough.

Almost went for a back to back fast day today, but now having wrestled DC to school, nursery and watched assembly i have realised i am about ready to gnaw my own arm off! Perhaps if i work very hard i might be able to get throughto lunch time before eating, but i am very doubtful.

At least you were good all day downstairs that may yet be your saviour. And you have 3 more days of trying being good before Friday Smile. You have to eat and drink with good friends you havent seen for a while, or else life would become very dull and you would lose motivation completely.

Cant blame the weight on totm this time, this is normally the part where i feel all slim and wonderful. Strangely my jeans are feeling rather loose, so it cant all be bad. I have thus far also managed to avoid eating anything, so the second fast dsy in a row is still on track........ for now!

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/01/2016 15:41

bad scales !!!!!

lovely meal thanks , ate far too much .......and feel better after man flu Wink tho still have hacking cough and sound like i smoke 60 a day !!!!

think this week will be written off as had indian sat, chinese sun, meal yesterday

tho did eat salad leaves with meal :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 26/01/2016 16:43

Haven't felt at all hungry today, had some fruit earlier but really not feeling it.

No idea what is wrong with me! Normally obsessing Grin

Bringonsummer · 26/01/2016 17:50

Doing rather well on my b2b fast days. Have consumed 800 calories in 48 hours . I will confess this included 3 small chocolate biscuits - not exactly nutritional but very tasty Grin.

Dinner soon of grilled cajun chicken breast and salad leaves and directly to bed (to ensure kitchen avoidance). Will mean by breakfast tomorrow i will have accomplished 1000 cals in 56 hours.

I cant wait for tomorrow when i can eat!

GettinTrimmer · 26/01/2016 18:51

Trainers not arrived today, and at work tomorrow so won't get them, as they never say a time they are bound to be delivered when I am out Sad I blame my worn down trainers for contributing to making my back ache, so having a rest from exercise today. Also something to do with being 3 stone overweight, but by the summer I will be in my nice clothes Smile and will be treating myself to some lovely clothes in a smaller size.

Bringon impressed at your low cal consumption, I didn't manage 5:2, but I heard it works very well and has all sorts of benefits for health.

Blondes my salad leaves have full fat honey and mustard dressing on them Wink Just a little bit.

Downstairs a few slips ups here and there are bound to happen, if you were sticking to healthy eating rest of time it should be OK.

MABS · 26/01/2016 19:47

Good yesterday and today, but no loss am sure tmro, don't deserve a loss either!!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 27/01/2016 07:43

Wednesday weigher checking in, and I've STS (stayed the same) which is surprising seeing as over the weekend and up until Monday night my eating was all over the place. In the course of last week, I had lost one, but never mind, am back on it now!

And back in the gym later, haven't been here to go, so that is undoubtably a good thing.

trim i did briefly look at the blood group diet, I'm not sure about it, I'm A- and it said I should be a vegetarian and avoid dairy too. Not sure of the science involved. Maybe I should read further

Have a good y'all

Brew
MABS · 27/01/2016 07:47

I have stayed same, which i didn't deserve to do, particularly as came on today too :(

RatherBeOnThePiste · 27/01/2016 07:49

:)

MABS · 27/01/2016 08:08

t'is a miracle after my alcohol consumption over weekend...

Bringonsummer · 27/01/2016 08:54

I too am in the sts brigade, despite my attempts at starvation. On a positive note i measure an inch less everywhere.

Also my new bright neon pink trainers (good price in the sale) have arrived, so will no doubt be running like a leaping gazelle with no unjury now Hmm.
