I need to lose 3.5 stone - feel so fed up about it I am ignoring the mince pies and Thornton's chocolates! I have lost weight before with a great bunch of ladies on mn. I feel motivated to do the same again and this time keep it off, I went through my wardrobe and found a very stylish tunic I bought in the South of France that I wore once before gaining weight.

Whatever your approach - low carb, Weight Watchers, Slimmers World or healthy eating, all welcome to join me with motivational tips/chat to keep each other going. I find that I don't stick to any plan and eating at meals times/snack on veg and fruit/exercise works for me.

Look forward to chatting with whoever wants to join Smile

I've had an odd day as I've had no appetite. Normally, I'm starving 90% of the time unless I'm vomiting or havw flu. I'm feeling fine!
Woke up, wasn't hungry but had 2 weetabix & 1/2 banana as I knew it was meeting a friend later & didn't want to be hungry later & eat cake. Lunch consisted of 1/4 of DS' croissant. I had an apple at 5pm, did a 5k run at 8pm and have since had a kiwi & an orange as I thought I should have something. It's very strange but I'm not complaining and am secretly hoping it is the start of a svelte "new" me.

GBBO15 · 22/01/2016 02:50

Well done Pistey and Mabs!

Beautiful dress Helena. I'm trying to get a few outfits together for going back to work as haven't a hope of fitting into my pre- pregnancy stuff yet. It's hard as I'm just a totally different shape since the baby.

Happy birthday Fluffy.

Up doing a night feed. WI in the morning, hope not too bad after birthday weekend.

Morning all,
I seem to have less and less time to keep up with the thread but a quick speed read and it's great to see how focused everyone is. It just takes time to see results and it's a long journey that I'm desperately trying to stay on! Not had a great week with food/water but amazingly have lost two pounds which is is brilliant but undeserved - hopefully will get me back in a positive frame of mind.
I hope everyone gets the results that they are hoping for...

I've lost half a pound but happy with that as it was my birthday last weekend and I was terrible for three whole days!
If anyone is at a computer can they update me on the list?

Thanks Bowbear! It does help to see your total weight loss doesn't it? Have s good weekend!

JustABigBearAlan · 22/01/2016 09:51

Hi all. Do you mind if I join? I started my diet on the 1st Jan. So far I've lost 4lbs. I did join another thread, but that seemed to die very quickly (maybe I killed it off?)
Anyway, your thread looks much healthier, and I think I need a bit more motivation. I was really motivated at the start, but I can feel it waning a little.

I'm really determined to keep going until I hit my target, but could use a little virtual support!

Hi everyone, and welcome justabigbear!

Well done, trimmer, bowbear, and GBBO, you losers! Grin

Weighed myself first thing this morning, still 9st 7, as I was earlier in the week (was 9st 4.6 last week), so drinking water didn't shift anything. Angry

Not going to get disheartened and retreat into the goodies cupboard, though.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 22/01/2016 15:14

Hola chums, fab losses, welcome Alan Grin

Craving cake today, carbs anyway, just home from bonkers day and going to the gym at 5.

WeightLossGoals · 22/01/2016 17:34

Hi all! I'd love to try and join (I'm still trying to boost my motivation).

I relocated to another country about 7 years ago and I've steadily gained weight over the years. I'd love to lose about 100lbs, but I'm hoping for at least 50lbs to start.

I'd like to try this nutritionist plan that I have, that I lost weight on last time, but exercise is my issue. So I'm planning to start going to the gym near where I live, where I'm very lucky to have a lifetime membership of (it's attached to the school in our district). The problem is finding the time/motivation.

Do you guys do it in the morning or after work? Do I shower at the gym? Or because I drive past home again on the way to work should I just go home and shower and then go to work?

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2016 18:57

Well done Blondes. Hope you're feeling better soon.

FluffyPersian · 22/01/2016 21:38

DownstairsMixUp Thanks so much for letting me know that. I also had an ERPC under GA at 12 weeks. I kept Googling and it says it should return between 4-12 weeks. I was stupid and went back on the pill which sent me more crazy due to putting more hormones into my body when at a time, I really shouldn't, so I came off again and have been 'pill free' for over a month now, but I think my poor body doesn't know if it's coming or going! I just want to return to normal, really... and whilst my mental state is better, I think I need to continue eating healthy and just exercise Smile.

When are you next weighing yourself? 9 days and counting for me!

Welcome all the new people - everyone seems really lovely here Grin

ThatsNotMyHouseItIsTooClean · 22/01/2016 22:10

Welcome joiners & well done losers.
Another better day here.
Breakfast - porridge with a dollop of yogurt
Lunch - chicken caesar salad in Pizza Express. There seemed to be a lot of lettuce in it.
Supper - Chinese ready meal. Not too bad other than for the crispy beef
Exercise - 30DS.
I have a new goal. I have remembered we have a 40th to go to in mid -Feb. I'd really like to be 10st4 by then. I'm hoping to be 10st9 tomorrow so 5lbs in 3 weeks should be achievable although I may hit a plateau.

ThatsNotMyHouseItIsTooClean · 22/01/2016 22:20

I also need to confess to a pear and two large (as in mouthful) crumbs of cake.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 23/01/2016 07:38

welcome one, welcome all :)

Morning Brew

Good losses going on

B What about cross trainers? I say that as the fitness trainer in our gym swears by them, says as efficient a work out as anything running, but no crunching on the knee caps. Popped knee caps must be horrific.

Did gym yesterday but was so exhausted doing it, like I'd run out of steam. No idea why.

And was madly hungry last night. According to MFP I'd run out of cals, so couldn't even have dinner, so I went to bed. It really isn't a lot and I am sticking within, I get 1200 plus whatever I earn in the gym which is up to 450ish.

But it is a new day and the scales have just again shifted in the right direction. Am a daily weigher here, just focusses my attention.

Re the gym timings WLG I won't be much help because it varies so much depending on work and what I'm doing, so from 9am to 7pm. Showering, I'd be tempted to check that it isn't desperately hectic at that time with lots of folk doing the same. Maybe try and see? I like to shower before I leave as then it's just done, but then you do need to carry all that stuff. Re motivation, do they have personal trainers in the gym that you can book in with? I know a few who see a PT every week, month or six weeks who set them goals, work out a plan, then after the time see how they have got on and redo their programme. Keeps them focussed. But good luck and welcome Thanks
