I need to lose 3.5 stone - feel so fed up about it I am ignoring the mince pies and Thornton's chocolates! I have lost weight before with a great bunch of ladies on mn. I feel motivated to do the same again and this time keep it off, I went through my wardrobe and found a very stylish tunic I bought in the South of France that I wore once before gaining weight.

Whatever your approach - low carb, Weight Watchers, Slimmers World or healthy eating, all welcome to join me with motivational tips/chat to keep each other going. I find that I don't stick to any plan and eating at meals times/snack on veg and fruit/exercise works for me.

Look forward to chatting with whoever wants to join Smile

Blondes, hope you feel better soon Flowers

Kim, that meal is pretty much my perfect restaurant meal

Pistey, ouch! Thanks, I needed that Grin Well done on the loss, too.

Tortoise, you have hit the nail on the head; that is exactly how I am trying to think of this (except that old habits die hard sometimes; see my previous post Blush).

MABS, congrats on the loss! It's never 'just a pound'; one a week is plenty, especially if you only have a stone to lose.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 20/01/2016 19:08

Back from the gym and in that Post Gym Smug Phase Grin

Haven't stopped being hungry today. Maybe that's because it is cold, or maybe because I'm such a greedy gobble gannet.

That's a pain Downstairs, I heard they are short of midwives as well. Not good they didn't keep you informed. I'm a bit fed up with my job too, but it's local and suits school hours.

I made fajitas for tea, they were lush. Made guacamole and salsa and cooked up quorn for veggies, chicken for meaties (dh and dd) with veggies, lime, coriander and a spot of chilli powder.

I was googling about earlier on, and though this might be of interest bembu.com/how-to-lose-weight-without-dieting

I can totally sympathise with everyone whose been really hungry today - I'm the same! I have been really craving sugar / chocolate so am desperately hoping against hope that it means my period is on its way (no periods since termination.. 3 months ago Sad and getting rather stressed about it!).

I decided to have some hot chocolate flakes in a small ramekin and some mini marshmallows - kinda like a hot chocolate without the milk!

10 days until I weigh in... Even though it's my birthday tomorrow I'm not planning on eating anything differently so am hoping I'll be able to give a really good number on 31st and won't look like a total lazy bitch compared to everyone who know they've lost weight! Smile

ThatsNotMyHouseItIsTooClean · 20/01/2016 23:15

Well done to those who have lost. It is inspiring, even those of you who have "just" lost a lb.
A better day here again. No breakfast, a Glorious Skinny soup for lunch & chicken slow cooked with a tin of tomatoes, a couple of onions & some chipolte paste accompanied by rice for supper. Only snack was an orange, I've drunk loads of water & done 30 DS. I will lose this pesky lb which reappeared and the the other 10!

Tortoiseonthehalfshell · 21/01/2016 01:31

Trimmer I'm in Australia. It's been mid-thirties most of the past few weeks.

I wish I had the discipline to not step on the scales all the time - Fluffy I'm very impressed!

MABS · 21/01/2016 07:44

Thanks gals, the encouragement is helping me i know. Really could do with losing a bit off my boobs!

GettinTrimmer · 21/01/2016 08:23

Me too, and from my waist, midriff and stomach. Does anyone take measurements once per month/fortnight?

It's your summer where you are then Tortoise, well done for running in that heat.

Fluff, I had a small finger of twix, helped sugar fix craving, also a Cadburys highlights hot chocolate; don't have them too often as prob full of E numbers, but nice and chocolatey.

Have a good day all

helenahandbag · 21/01/2016 08:32

The gorgeous size 14 dress I bought for my hen do is sooo close to zipping now, it's about an inch from closing all the way and I'd say I've got about 10lbs to go until it's comfortable. I have 11 'official' weigh ins until then so I'm hoping for good things! It was far too small when I bought it, the sides of the zip were gaping apart.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 21/01/2016 09:00

Morning chums Brew

Good news about the frock helena You'll get there for sure!

Arse re the course Downstairs can only imagine how frustrating that must be Sad

Happy birthday fluffy Yayyyyyyyyyyy Star Star Wine Grin

MABS Mine goes of my norks first, I wish it would go from my arse!

Pesky pounds - I hear you ThatsNot

Had to go to bed in the end, stop me troughing the entire contents of the kitchen, lordy twas awful.

Today is a new day, may it be kind to us. :)

helenahandbag · 21/01/2016 09:16

Happy birthday fluffy Grin Flowers Wine Star

FluffyPersian · 21/01/2016 09:25

Thanks Guys!

I have had a cup of tea and a birthday apple Smile no plans to actually deviate off the healthy eating today as I'm still feeling motivated, so my plan is not to beat myself up if I'm feeling a bit crap at some point and try and condition my brain that 'it's OK' to not eat healthy all the time!

My partner bought me a fitbit Charge HR which I asked for, so I'm just charging it now and will be using it to try and increase my walking and do 10,000 steps a day. Still planning on exercising once we've moved house, but currently things are being packed, so things are a bit chaotic!

Off to a Hedgehog sanctuary in an hour, so that should be nice Smile

helenahandbag - What type of dress is it? Will you post a photo (without your head, obviously) when you're in it, so we can all compliment you! Grin ... Not long to go and it will fit you really well!

Error404usernamenotfound · 21/01/2016 11:03

Happy Birthday Fluffy! Flowers

Trying to be good and drink lots of water to get rid of this bloat. I feel like a ruddy water balloon...

helenahandbag · 21/01/2016 11:03

This is the dress. It's very structured so there's not a lot of give in it but it's such a flattering style, I can't wait until it's comfortable and I can swish around in it! I'll definitely post a photo of me wearing it on the night Grin

I have a Fitbit Charge HR, I love it! It definitely makes me more aware of incidental, day to day exercise whereas before I would sit at my desk all day, do an hour at the gym and then go home to sit on the couch. I've started getting off the train one stop early and walking fifteen minutes home instead of two minutes from the station at the top of the street.

Error404usernamenotfound · 21/01/2016 11:05

That dress is stunning, helena!

helenahandbag · 21/01/2016 11:35

Fanks! Grin

I have another contender but I'll probably end up in this one as it's just so pretty!

ThatsNotMyHouseItIsTooClean · 21/01/2016 11:49

Happy Birthday Fluffy. I did laugh at the idea of a birthday apple.
Piste - I am having a lot of baths at the moment just to get myself away from the kitchen of an evening.
Helena -that will be a fabulous dress to swish in.
My pesky pound has gone so I'm back to proper weight loss again now.

GettinTrimmer · 21/01/2016 14:01

Piste I had the evening munchies too last night, only problem is had to get dh to hide a very big bag of dry roasted nuts, still left over from Christmas.
Happy Birthday Fluffy Star
Helena I love that dress, gorgeous!
Error you reminded me to drink more water, I'm a coffee fiend.
Blondes hope you are feeling better.

Anyone else weighing in tomorrow?

GettinTrimmer · 21/01/2016 14:04

Fluffy my ds would enjoy a hedgehog sanctuary, he's into conservation/wildlife, take him birdwatching often

Error404usernamenotfound · 21/01/2016 16:26

Gettin, I am weighing in tomorrow. It is not likely to go well...

I missed the bit about the birthday apple; I hope there was a candle in it, fluffy! Grin

MABS · 21/01/2016 17:20

Happy birthday fluffy. Love the dress Helena.

My arse /legs are ok Pistey, its all around my waist and norks never go down :(

FluffyPersian · 21/01/2016 17:54

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Had a really fab day - St Tiggiwinkles was amazing and we were the first visitors of the day! Saw loads of animals who were being cared for, due to injury and the staff were really, really friendly. One lady brought us a hedgehog to see! (weren't allowed to touch it, of course). (GettinTrimmer, you should totally take your DS if you live near Aylesbury!)

Had lunch in a pub, however had a jacket potato with beans and cheese - way too much cheese however, so my partner ate most of that 'cos he's doing the Atkins thing and therefore can eat as much as cheese as he wants Hmm

BBQ Turkey steak for tea and steamed veg Smile Slightly discouraged that I washed some jeans and put on some jeans I hadn't worn for two weeks.. not sure what I was expecting (maybe that they fall down on me? Grin, however they still appear to fit the same which is annoying, but hey... that's why I still prefer to use weight to track progress as at least it's black and white and not 'Hrm... I think I've lost weight, but not sure!'

I love the dress Helena, it's really elegant Smile

How's all the water drinking going, Error?

Fluffy we used to live in Aylesbury, moved away in 2000, loved the area especially Wendover Woods. Nice pubs round there. I would have sulked if I'd have to give away cheese, my weakness. Gorgeous hedgie by the way! Enjoy rest of your day.

Error good luck with wi tomorrow. Not sure how I've done either.
