And anyone else who wants to join in. The idea of this thread is a way to record weightloss, motivate each other, discuss which methods if any we are using to lose weight and give the occasional kick up the bum.

Right you lot. I was going to wait until new year to start this thread but I think that if I'm going to have my head in the right place to start, I need your help now. I haven't weighed yet I'll do that on the 1st but I think I probably have 2 1/2 stone to lose. Last time I had 3st to lose so I'm seeing that as a postitive.

So, are any of you still out there? Who'd like to join me? Xmas Grin

Well, I weighed myself this morning as a baseline. I'm about 3 or 4 lb heavier than I was just before Christmas and the size 16s that were getting loose are now fitting properly. :(

Tomorrow will be tricky....first day back to it and I'm on a course where lunch is provided. I shall make sensible choices, then have a low cal tea. The rest of the week should be easier.

StealthPolarBear · 05/01/2014 21:08

Oh no! Free lunch when dieting is a nightmare! (I may sound sarcastic but promise I'm not :))

Morning all,

my morning weigh in is 151 lbs, which is 1 lb more than my pre christmas weight Confused .

eighty triathlon? Wow, that sounds seriously impressive. I can barely manage one third of that!

2kids hope the free lunch has good choices for you to make.

1Madhouse · 06/01/2014 08:30

Well it was that bad !!! 13 st. And I even moved the scales round the bathroom. Ok onwards and upwards.

Need a good eating day and spinning tonight

Good luck everyone else.

ToeFluff · 06/01/2014 08:40

Grin To moving the scales round the bathroom!

11st8lb here, which means I've put on 12lb since octoberish... Whoops!

Feeling very motivated though an glad to draw a line under it all and start again.

InMySpareTime · 06/01/2014 09:10

Hi all, here I amGrin
I actually lost 5 1/2 stone, starting at 14st (with a BMI of 38Shock) and I'm now 8st 7lb (BMI 23) which I've maintained for the last 9 months.
I went from a snug size 18 to now a size 6 on top, 8 for trousers, and my 38H bras have given way to 26Fs.
I am (to put it politely) quite determined when I set my mind to something, and the shock of finding out I was close to morbidly obese was enough to spur me into action.
I love being slim, I can choose lovely clothes without needing to hide any lumpy bits, and (I'm sure you all want to know) the excess skin has all shrunk back.
Glad to hear from you all again, I'm happy to share habit-breaking tips if it'll help, but there was no magic secret, just eating better, and eating less, every single day for months.

StealthPolarBear · 06/01/2014 09:29

Just checki ng in and feeling motivated! Even morw so after seeing youbimst :) hope you all had a lovely Christmas.
Imon no chocolate or sweets until the end of Wednesday. Until im back in the zone moderation is impossible so I just cant have them.

TheOneWithTheHair · 06/01/2014 09:54

Morning everyone. I was about to say that IMST said she would look up the thread today but I see I'm not quick enough. Grin

Well I bit the bullet and weighed in. According to the Wii it's been 210 days since I weighed myself and I've had a 10 day celebration and Christmas since then. I was dreading it.

Amazingly I'm 2lbs down from my last weigh in. I'm not sure how. Confused That puts me at 10st 13 so 1.5st for my ideal weight. It gives me hope that I'll maintain when I reach it.

I don't think I've been to hard on myself during that time, just more aware of what I'm eating iyswim? That is definitely something that's come from these threads.

I really struggled to hit the 10st something mark last time so I'm a bit nervous that I'll stay there but I feel motivated for now.

Next short term goal is to be a safe 10st something.

Well done everyone for weighing in.

Well, what a turn up for the books! I was 147.4 on Thursday... I'm 143.1 this morning!

Currently working on a brand new spreadsheet!

KatoPotatoHoHo · 06/01/2014 12:06

TADAAAA!!

Hope this works. I've updated and deleted obsolete members, and left spaces for new members too! Please add your starting weight as you'd like it - I like to still put my very first weight when I started but just put a baseline or today's weight - whatever suits!

Feel free to change colours or fonts!

Reastie · 06/01/2014 13:25

Yay KAto [thank] Thanks Thanks . Now, my starting weight, can I put that still as my initial fat weight? it helps me feel like I've achieved something or do I put my current weight? I'm catching you up very slowly btw Grin

IMST so glad the excess skin has shrunk back. I have that problem! Has it shrunk back even in your arms btw? My arm fat practically wacks me in the face if I get carried away waving Blush . Great to hear from you and that you are maintaining. I know you wanted to work on toning, how is that working?

I just ordered myself a lovely Cath Kidston mushroom dress (nicer than it sounds!) in a size 12. Hope it fits!

KatoPotatoHoHo · 06/01/2014 14:47

reastie I always put my fat weight!!

Reastie · 06/01/2014 14:56

Thanks kato , have added. Btw I may have accidently somehow added 'sheet 10' to the ss on the bottom menu. I pressed something and it just happened . Hope I haven't broken it already Blush

Just done insanity asylum agility and speed workout so feeling more virtuous than I was post after eight binge earlier.

1Madhouse · 06/01/2014 15:03

Thanks kato I have filled in my weight and your fab chart.
I am a complete techno idiot so am grateful for you doing that.

Have eaten we so far but after having a row this morning with OH I feel like stuffing down the Xmas cake !!!

But I won't give him the pleasure of peeing me off and spoiling the diet before it starts.

InMySpareTime · 06/01/2014 15:17

Reastie, even the arm skin has shrunk back.
My boobs will never regain their former glory thoughHmm.

TheOneWithTheHair · 06/01/2014 16:30

Thanks for doing the spread sheet Kato. I've filled in my stats.

If you and reastie look at your losses and compare them to mine you'll see how amazingly well you've already done!

I'm still encouraged by my previous weightloss though.

1Mad good for you for not giving in to the junk food craving because of your row. It's so easy to give in and you haven't. You should feel proud of yourself.

Shred for me tomorrow. With dd back at school then I have no excuses. Give me a kick if I don't do it!

I will join youeightytwenty at 12st 4. Argh never been this heavy. The zips on my work trousers keep coming down because of my rather rounded tummy!

No booze in the week, no sweets, only treats at weekend is the current plan... We will see what the scales say at the end of the week.

Made Spanish chicken with cous cous for tea, it was lovely so not a bad start to eating healthier. Sausage and fennel something or other tomorrow, under 500 cals.

StealthPolarBear · 06/01/2014 20:00

Can I join the 12st4 club :) Just weighed an hour or so ago. Actually I was rather pleased :o

My plans are to be comfortably 11st something by end of jan and then in the 10s by end of March. Should be easily do-able but I always seem to self sabotage. For that reason I am going to write down all my reasons and plans on a piece of paper and carry it in my bag.

Today has gone OK so far. I feel back into the swing of it but it has only been 20 hours...

After the Christmas gluttony I was fully expecting 13 stone Shock

TheOneWithTheHair · 06/01/2014 21:09

Me too Stealth.

I finally had the veg lasagne for dinner. I was all ready to feel vituous but the amount of cheese + white sauce put that idea to bed. It was delicious though. Ds dished up and kept asking me if I didn't like it when I put my fork down. I ate more than I'd like but not as much as he gave me. Must remember that leaving stuff on my plate is not a crime.

Anyone remember the old phrase, "My body is not the dustbin"? It rang true for a lot of people on here.

OP posts:
steppemum · 06/01/2014 21:37

weighed in at the weekend and it was Shock

So I thought I would leave it til today and make it an official Monday weight! Grin

Then I forgot to weigh myself this morning Hmm

Did a great long walk with visiting dog today and even ran parts of it (unintentionally!) So feeling good about that.

Will put scales out tonight so I remember to weigh in tomorrow.
