And anyone else who wants to join in. The idea of this thread is a way to record weightloss, motivate each other, discuss which methods if any we are using to lose weight and give the occasional kick up the bum.

Right you lot. I was going to wait until new year to start this thread but I think that if I'm going to have my head in the right place to start, I need your help now. I haven't weighed yet I'll do that on the 1st but I think I probably have 2 1/2 stone to lose. Last time I had 3st to lose so I'm seeing that as a postitive.

So, are any of you still out there? Who'd like to join me? Xmas Grin

That sounds lovely :)
YES to thay. Waste in the bin is sad but waste in my body (esp its not even something ill particularly enjoy) is almost a form of self harm. I eat even though I know I dont like the results - bloating, weight gain and shame.
There was a box of chocolate shortbread in work kitchen today and I saw it without feeling tempted. It waz just there iykwim. Longay this motivation last!

TheOneWithTheHair · 07/01/2014 09:34

Morning everyone. How is the motivation this morning? I hope you are all still feeling strong.

I had a chocolate craving last night so had an options hot chocolate. This is why I'm glad I ate all my chocolate at the weekend. I would not have resisted last night.

Morning! Glad to see everyone is still going for it.

I'm feeling very angelic with my carrot and potato soup for lunch and savoury rice for tea, can't argue with that can you!

Just need to fit exercise in, my next goal x

1Madhouse · 07/01/2014 10:44

Feeling motivated today still. Off to do weekly shop when the babe wakes up and get my free coffee in their cafe. Need to avoid the nice treats in there !!

Stir fry and teriyaki salmon for supper and then off to the gym !

eightytwenty I just put teriyaki sauce over the salmon then some lowest cream cheese then a bit more sauce and cook in the oven for 10 mins ish till salmon is cooked.

Can't say exact temps and time as I cook in am aga. Also works well with chicken fillets too.

That's fab eighty. Well done. I'm pissed off with my car today and it's put me in a right grump. I haven't eaten any crap though because I haven't got any.

Today I'm realising how much of what I do is emotional eating.

MonsterMunchMe · 07/01/2014 15:49

Pressed post too soon! Grrrr!

Can I join please? After 6 weeks on crutches I have gained 1 stone.

I have downloaded MFP and am on day 2 of calorie counting and walking for 1 hour everyday

Currently 10 stone, hope to get down to 9!

Reastie · 07/01/2014 16:33

eighty sugar is my nemesis. Sometimes I consider giving it up completely cold turkey but not sure if I'm strong enough. Booking into the 10k means you HAVE to train for it now, good move, there's no escape!

Feeling good today. Had no actual chocolate yet, just an options hot choc . It's my saviour diet choc fix.

Todays NSV - my joules sale order came through the post and I ordered various things in size 10 and 12. The size 10 actually fits Shock it's very tight but we'll not dwell on that

Hello monster , I'm reastie1 on MFP if you want to find me :)

StealthPolarBear · 07/01/2014 17:01

Hi monster :)
Yay to size ten reastie - I can only dream.
Well all my plans fell apart, made my lunch and snacks for today and was halfway to fhe station when I realised they were still in the fridge. However I was very proud of myself - easy solution would be work cafe but theres very little that is low calorie. So I went tk coop for chilli noodles which are better and it involved a 1.4mile walk too. Managed to avoid the snacks and treats and got a box of melon and grapes. I too am feeling virtuous. Need to remember what changes so I can be prepared!

KatoPotatoHoHo · 07/01/2014 18:22

Exciting day today, DS had primary school tour he's starting p1 in August!!

Then to hospital for my Mirena out.

Then to morrisons and marvelled at the reduced Christmas crap for 49p (628 calories gone on shite guys...)

Reastie · 07/01/2014 18:38

stealth excellent virtuous choices indeed :)

eighty well remembered re: health probs, yes I had various things making things difficult. Know exactly what you mean re: comfy joggers.

Wow kato can't believe your DS will be starting school only seems like the other week he was starting nursery. DD will be starting nursery soon. Off tomorrow to meet someone to buy some second hand nursery uniform for her as it's Shock £ for a blinking 2 YO!

KatoPotatoHoHo · 07/01/2014 20:24

Happy to hand hold through nursery settling! I was a WRECK!! X

StealthPolarBear · 07/01/2014 20:27

help MFP-ers - I can't find where to record my weight, I know I used to be able to do it! Feel like I've clicked on every tab

StealthPolarBear · 07/01/2014 20:41

Found it, sorry.
The (upward) slope on that is depressing! My last recorded weight was 159 so unless my maths is wrong I have put on a stone since then.
ANyway, onward and downward. Peace and love to all losers!

StealthPolarBear · 07/01/2014 20:41

are there 13 or 14lb in a stone? I'm very tired tonight...

TheOneWithTheHair · 07/01/2014 20:53

Stealth, are you ok? You seem very out of sorts tonight. Not like you at all. There are 14lbs in a stone btw.

Am I the only one who doesn't want to be a comfy tracksuit? Can't we be the shoes of fabulousness or something? Grin

I actually know what you mean though and I agree.

Who was the triathlon competitor on the last thread? I was totally in awe but can't remember who it was.

Well done on the good choices today everyone. Tomorrow will be my toughest day I think. I have to stop myself from thinking that two days is fab so a little treat won't hurt!
