Welcome to thread 13 of the Paul McKenna's I Can Make You Thin weight loss system.

The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded friendly support system are:

1. Eat what you WANT
2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
3. Eat CONSCIOUSLY
4. STOP eating when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches. After all, eating a meal is not a competition, it's about enjoying what you are putting into your mouth, but not feeling bloated and uncomfortable (or guilty) afterwards!
Many people have issues around food. Many of us have been brought up by the 'clear your plate' parents of yesteryear which leave us feeling guilty if we leave even the smallest morsel of food, but we are working through this guilt or any other hang up we may have, and we are learning to leave a bit on the plate; return to it another time if we really want to or even feed it to the dog or the bin!
So!! forget diets; they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. This is a new way of living for your brand new life!! Let's get lighter for those Christmas outfits!!

The Paul McKenna system really works and is easy to maintain.

Here are the book choices on AMAZON which is all you need to get started! they aren't compulsory, but they do help! it's something to refer to and listening to the cd's can really focus you.

This is the tapping technique EXPLAINED - this can be useful to combat cravings.

You don't have to buy the book and CD, but we have found that they do help and somehow they keep you on track, so it would probably be a good investment and will cost you far less than a couple of trips to WW or SW meetings, so do consider having them in your life.

Please feel free to join us, whether it's 10lbs or 10 stones you want to lose.
We are friendly, supportive and successful, but we're not hungry and that is a great way to feel when you are dropping dress sizes at the same time!!! so come on in and start living your new life today and make 2013 your year to drop a dress size or several...if we can get those lbs off a few at a time, just think how we could look and feel for Christmas and The New Year!!!
Some of our thread members are also doing PMK's Virtual Gastric Band and although this thread is not about this avenue, we will still be supportive of our friends partaking of this, so don't think we wont be there for you. I'm pretty sure that the Golden Rules will be just as helpful in this process as the I Can Make You Thin process :) so get stuck in :)

Hi All

Not a totally good mindful eating day today, as ate at expected times rather than when hungry.

Also found out that I'd lost 3lbs in one week, and not 7lbs as weighed yesterday.

Because I'd moved the scales downstairs, I weighed with them on carpet instead of the tiled bathroom floor. As they are digital scales, they are not as accurate when on carpet.

But I'm still pleased, as that's still 3lbs loss.

Well I think 3lb is great and more normal. Try and avoid the thing where because you have lost weight you relax and don't eat mindfully. It happens sometimes.

That's what I do. As soon as another few lbs come off, I self sabotage and put it back on. I must try to listen to the CD. Going to try the virtual gastric band I think. Yeah!!!

Witty yes, you are right! and I can perhaps, aim for a proper Christmas for the Dc's in 2014 with a tree and cards and everything!!

Solo seize the moment maybe.....Confused do a tree this year. Go on. I'm sure they would love it. Then you can take it down on New Years Day with a fresh year in front of you . Who knows what might happen if you change just one thing....!

I can't Rules as all Dd's toys are where I used to have the tree and it's the only place to put a tree. She doesn't have a bedroom, so can't put them 'away'...she sleeps with me.

Cant you just get a little tiny tree and put it on a surface somewhere else? Sorry I will shut up. You don't want to do the Christmas thing do you. We are all different. Smile I just love doing all the Christmas stuff cause of not having it all those years as a kid. Well, it being hot and not like Christmas at all.

Well Solo, I should have read your post earlier, as exactly as you have said, I have self sabotaged today, probably because of those few pounds lost.

I have not eaten mindfully or when hungry. Think time to listen to cd again tonight.

Well I had a bad bad 24 hours myself. Didn't really eat loads of food but ate mindlessly and emotionally. Havnt done that for a while Sad.

Sorry Millychristmas, can't inspire you at the mo, as have just eaten 3 cheesecakes on the go, and now feel sick. Did'nt listen to cd last night, so must do tonight.

Wish I did'nt have to do others their meals, as reminds me too much of eating.

Im really disappointed that no one has given me any support here given that I have posted about having trouble myself. Bit hurt to be honest as I try to support others.

Yes you do support others, and I really should have tried to help you rather than being so flippant and all about me, me, me.

I think it's really easy to have occasions of mindless and emotional eating as it's really just so easy to do. I'm sure everyone does it, even thin people.

I think as long as you try to make sure that you are mindfully eating most of the time, then the odd slip up won't hurt.

After all it's better than mindless eating all of the time.

Again, I haven't been using the havening or tapping techniques for emotional eating, which we are supposed to do, in order to control it. So again that's my own fault.

Have you been using the tapping techniques Milly? That might help you to feel in control again. And also looking at what triggered your emotional eating off, so as to plan against it next time.

Hope this has helped a bit Milly. I think it's just that I look on you as a seasoned pro at this WOE, that I just stupidly thought that you're okay and will know what to do.

I can see now that we all need a bit of help from time to time no matter what.

Plus, it helps me talking to you, so that I can see where I've been going wrong.

Right, with me, Definately no more weighing. Look what just happened to me by weighing myself. If I lose, I eat more, and if I put on I eat more. So no more WEIGHING. I know I've said it before. Gonna go by my clothes.

And with the overeating which is emotional, I've got to use the tapping techniques.

Faith- How are you? I can't get the smileys up on here using my iPad, as it does'nt work when I highlight the icons.

So will have to do it the old way :)
