Well done on the stone off Emily, that is fab.

Hazel - it's hard because I'd rather be 20 stone and pregnant! Being thin is not what I really want.

Back on track today:

Latte, muesli, fruit

Soup and chicken wings for lunch

Lamb chops and veg for dinner

Got into work early today so will be leaving at 5 whoop whoop! So no excuses not to go to the gym!

Emilythornesbff · 30/05/2013 13:29

twinkle your menu looks healthy and nourishing.
Enjoy your weekend.

Bakingnovice · 30/05/2013 18:40

Oh twinkle your menu looks fab.

Emily well done on the weight loss.

My first real return to fasting and I'm a pound up. I'm hoping it fucks off by Saturday weigh in and I keep reminding myself that last time I fasted my weight fluctuated massively.

I'm normally a savoury girl but this week my craving for home baked goodies is off the scale. Havet given in yet! But ate a lot during my nfd yest. Curry, pitta, salad and a small Kitkat. And cheese on toast. Boo. But it's back to back fasts till sat now.

Emilythornesbff · 30/05/2013 20:26

Hi baking goodluck with the fasts.
I'm fasting today. I love it.
Now I just need to work on my NFDs so I don't massively over eat.

Got to remember to nourish myself rather than just fill my tum.

iheartshoes · 30/05/2013 20:33

Hi girls , pleased to report that apart from x3 squares of dark choc I stuck to my meal plan today. Now trying to drink lots of water this eve. Only a couple more weeks until I can get back into the gym also so hope that will make a diff too. I'm hoping that the low carb will regulate my appetite and then ill be able to try fasting without gorging on NFDs .

twinklestar2 · 30/05/2013 21:06

I swapped my dinner for lamb meatball wraps with salad! Also went for a half hour run.

Emilythornesbff · 30/05/2013 21:25

Well done iheart and twinkle

iheartshoes · 30/05/2013 22:51

twinkle lamb meatball wraps sound yum do you have a recipie ?

twinklestar2 · 30/05/2013 23:29

I cooked the lamb meatballs in the oven - they were tesco finest Moroccan style. On the hob I heated a tin of toms and added some ground coriander and ground cumin. When meatballs were cooked just mixed together! Oh had his with tacos.

Emilythornesbff · 31/05/2013 06:43

Morning fellow revolutionaries.

I like the sound of that dinner twinkle

Feeling good after yesterday's fast.
Today
Bf: muesli? Or maybe a couple of those soft banana cookies courtesy of 50shades' recipe?
Lunch: probably nothing as I have dentist this morning.
Dinner: sausage and bean casserole (made with veggie sausages- don't tell dh Wink) and green beans. Bit wintery but cba to go shopping as we're off to Yorkshire at the weekend.
I'm trying to plan my holiday fasting. Don't want to derail before Turkey.

Onwards and downwards.

Hazelbrowneyes · 31/05/2013 08:05

Morning all,

iheart fantastic, well done!

baking in awe of back to back fasts! Go you!!

twinkle your dinner sounds seriously yum!

Em secret is safe with us Wink Enjoy Yorkshire.

Yesterday wasn?t great?

B ? croissant
L ? mugshot
D ? Err?fish, chips and mushy peas at the local pub Blush
S ? fruit, tea, water, half a bottle of wine, orange juice

Today, and excuse me whilst I rant a little?

B ? croissant
L ? egg sandwiches which I LOVE. Usually. DH made them this morning and he?s put effing pepper in them! I hate pepper. Of course, how should I expect him to know this? I mean, we?ve only been together 8 years. I wouldn?t mind so much but our peppermill is shit and doesn?t grind the pepper enough so you get a big chunk of peppercorn in with egg?my brain instantly screams EGGSHELL! EGGSHELL! And I end up throwing the rest of the sandwich away. So I?m a bit grumpy.

D ? Sausage and mash, just perfect for a gloriously summery day Grin
S ? I?m not planning on any but it?s going to be a v. long, hard day so depending on how hungry I am I might grab something. Oh and GIN because it?s Friday.

I have my scruffs on ready to spend the day in the workshop?I?ve got 5 jobs leaving us today and at the moment none of them are anywhere near ready to go. EEEEEK!

Anyone have any nice plans for the weekend?

Emilythornesbff · 31/05/2013 08:21

hazel Grin at your egg sandwich scene.LTB Wink Grin
You'll need a replacement lunch. Any mugshots in that desk drawer?
And yesterday - not too bad really. No signs of mindless snacking anyway. So no need to feel guilty.
I'd love to have fish and chips tonight as I cba with cooking and cleaning while faffing around for tomorrow's car journey but DH has decided he might not feel well afterwards [rolls eyes]. I might have to veto that decision though.

Just ate a couple of those soft banana cookies for brekkie. Yum yum and taste healthy too. Win win.

iheartshoes · 31/05/2013 09:06

hazel your egg sandwich debacle made me laugh !! Twinkle im going to try doing something similar sounds lovely .
Menu today
B - scrambled eggs and ham
L - prawn and avocado salad
D - prawn stir fry w cauli rice
Lots of water , coffee, dark choc if I get desperate or maybe some olives .

Emilythornesbff · 31/05/2013 10:37

Yum iheart
You're low carb-ing yes? A low carb menu always looks luxurious.

Well the veggie sausages are out of the freezer.
I don't think I'm going to be having yummy fish and chips.
Still, if we make it to Whitby next week I believe that's the place to ^really^ enjoy fish and chips. Ooooh. How will I fast on hols?

SixPackWellies · 31/05/2013 15:36

Hello all!

I have been having thoughts about fish and chips too!

No plans for the weekend. My home admin is in a serious mess, so need to sort that out. (It's all excitement at The Wellies' house)

Argh. Weighed this morning am still a pesky 9.8 and 3/4! Not even lost a teeny amount. Hmmm. But I tried on some clothes yesterday and they definitely felt a bit looser..... Going to carry on low carving as I feel better when I do and love the food but a bit demoralised . Got a night out with a very glam , skinny friend next week and I'd love to feel a bit lighter. I can't properly exercise because I had a c section and not had the all clear yet but maybe I need to do more walking ? Humph. Am in a mood now .

Hazelbrowneyes · 01/06/2013 11:51

Em I considered LTB but I love my inlaws and I?d miss them a lot so he?s safe Wink

The sandwiches were quite nice to be honest but I?ll never tell him that!!

I had a double decker as well because I was SO hungry. Ended up with Chinese for dinner. Woe. Oh and wine. Double woe.

This morning I got up late so had a handful of cereal Blush and half a bueno. Nutritious! Have just finished work so I?m going home to relax. I?ve worked 50 hours in 4.5 days. I?m bloody shattered!

Emilythornesbff · 01/06/2013 12:11

Grin hazel
They're very lucky to have you.
That's a tough week. Enjoy your weekend.

On the M1 (in car, no need to panic) and snacks have been eaten. Blush

Oh iheart you're doing great. Looser clothes is brilliant.
It's really early days and you're really quite small tbh.
Thanks

Emilythornesbff · 01/06/2013 12:13

Oh, and those snacks are not apples btw.
A bit ashamed. Must remember to do some fasting up here.

SixPackWellies · 01/06/2013 15:28

Good morning/afternoon!

Hope everyone is fine. I succumbed and had fish and chips last night, but half way through the fish it was too greasy for me and so I gave the rest to DH, and did not eat any chips as i really did not want them and I did not feel deprived at all. Usually, if I have succumbed, I think 'well I've blown it now' and eat far beyond my stomach capacity.

Also had a pint of lager, which was lovely.

I have re-joined WW online. Not to keep to points so much, more as a gudie for myself to analyse exactly how much I am eating. I am already into the weekly extras, so instead of panicking, i am trying to keep that in mind and compensate. Whittle whittle.

On the plus side.... a new top arrived that I ordered online. The only size available was an 'M' which they said was 10-12. I made the mistake i always make which is to buy something 'that will fit when i have lost weight'. Well..... IT FITS!!!! It fits really well (they must be sizing large).... although my podgy tum is in evidence as it is a little clingy, so while it fits well now, it will fit great when i have lost another 7 pounds. So i am going to keep this as my goal. it is hanging in my room now. :)

Plus, it is sunny.

(But i should be doing admin work instead of chitter chattering on MN) :)

Hope you are all well.

Forgive me fellow revs for I have sinned. Eaten loads this weekend. Not totally OTT but still not good. To be fair this weekend was nfd and am fasting mon-fri-wed but need to really control my eating days.

Em - enjoy Yorkshire.

Wellies - well done on forgoing the chips. Bravo.

Wish me luck revs for I haven't lost for a few weeks now. My first fast week resulted in a stay the same. Next three weekends will be food filled due to birthdays and weddings so I must be v good doing 4:3 during the week.

twinklestar2 · 02/06/2013 21:23

Today's menu

Cheerios and ss milk
Pitta and dip
Chicken fried rice
Apple, satsuma, dark choc miniature

50shadesofbrown · 02/06/2013 21:53

Hello fellow Revolutionaries.

Emily - hope you have a lovely time in Yorkshire, I am a Yorkshire lass & we are having lovely weather at the moment, hope it lasts for you.
Wellies - good on you for the chips. I try, sometimes manage that, but not always...
Baking - good luck to you (and everyone in fact) for weigh-ins.

I've been very naughty the last few days. Was good all week, stuck to my diet, then had my 'free meal' on Friday as planned. Japanese chicken dumplings with raw vegetable salad & a little bit of oriental style dressing, not too bad so far. But, then for pudding I had a fairly big piece of M&S toffee & pecan meringue roulade. Yummy.
Had planned to be good this weekend but had some fab news Saturday morning so I thought, frankly, let's celebrate. We got a LOT of tax credits back (that we should have been paid last year) & it's enough to clear the credit card we've been paying off for years. So we will be completely debt free, all being well, in less than a year. So we ate lunch out and had a takeaway. Bad. Very bad. But, TBH, I don't care as I thought it was going to take us several years to get out of debt, what with DH not working etc. I very much doubt I have lost weight this week though.
I have had a bit of a victory though - still not weighed myself (usually weigh myself every day). Itching to but I won't until Monday. Plus, I am struggling less with the walk to work (ankle weights, 2k walk, bit of a hill for part of it). Minor victories. Yay!

Onwards & Downwards Follow Revolutionaries.

twinklestar2 · 02/06/2013 22:27
