Good morning Fellow Revolutionaries. Welcome to Thread 2!

coffee with soy milk
2 ryvitas with half an avocado
spicy tomato soup (homemade) with a green salad
Small portion of roast pork, with lost of veg, a tablespoon of gravy!

Onwards and Downwards!

distract distract distract! did a bit of housework instead of stuffing bread, I know I know but needs must! Just back from yoga, had a nice shower and a healthy meal - ham, mushroom and tomato omelette.

I'm planning fish and a couple of lovely looking salads that I've bought from M&S for dinner later - thought I should treat myself rather than cobble together a bit of lettuce and tomato and feel hacked off.

I'll ease myself into gently this weekend - no booze and healthy nourishing food that tastes good. Hopefully this will set me back on track.

Where's the sun gone?

50shadesofbrown · 07/06/2013 21:26

Ok I am officially a bit worried.

  1. DH left half his dinner this evening. In nine years together, I can't remember him ever leaving half of a meal. Not want to eat at all, fine. But leave half, no way.
  2. He went to bed at 7.30 this evening. He put on a woolly jumper over his clothes & huddled under the duvet. It's about 23°C here.
  3. He was massively sick about an ago, just as I was getting DD to sleep so I couldn't help. Oh God he's at it again. Doesn't have a temperature though, checked earlier. Should I call 111? Bearing in mind the possible hernia? His brother did have a major vomiting bug about a week ago so it could be that, any thoughts?
50shadesofbrown · 07/06/2013 21:58

On the plus side, I've practically got the evening to myself for the first time since DD was born. Am watching Atonement, which we recorded ages ago & I've not had chance till now. Unexpected guilty bliss!

I suppose if DH was feeling sick that explains why he left half his tea. Odd though, usually he just won't eat.

Anyway. Onto other things. Meals today:
B fruit, couple of nuts, plain yoghurt, sprinkle of toasted muesli.
L leftover rice & chicken stuff from yesterday.
D Almost the same as breakfast (stressful evening, couldn't be bothered cooking)
S none.

On other news, my sourdough culture is definitely doing something. It's alive!

Have a feeling I may be needed upstairs again shortly. Bye.

Bakingnovice · 08/06/2013 11:03

Omg revs. I've lost a pound!!! Ecstatic ( even though its a pathetic loss). It's taken me 4 weeks to lose the 2lbs which take me to my lowest weight for 3 years! It's vslow but steady. Just had to post! This thread keeps me going. Day off diet today so BBQ here I come.......

Emilythornesbff · 08/06/2013 12:58

Hey revolutionaries.
On the way home from yorkshire so i have good (albeit temporary) signal and a bit of free time to update.
50shades sounds like the vomiting bug. But call 111 if he's still like that today. Can he keep water down?

Sorry, can't see all posts.

SAHRum welcome back. The seat of this wagon's coved in butter. Very easy to fall off. If it makes you feel any better i am currently working my way through a small pack of revels, salt and vinegar crisps and lotus biscuits!!! I really should have fasted today Grin

Fish and chips were yummy. But they leave a greasy aftertaste so needed to be "washed down" with an ice cream (well, we were at the seaside).

I managed a fast on thursday, avoiding a delicious picnic and just eating a small steak and some salad leaves.
Lots of walking too.

I think i will plan to fast on my travelling days for next hols as i tend to just eat crap otherwise when on the move.
hazel have a lovely holiday. Well done with your last WI. I hope those stomach pains have gone.

hi to wellies, iheart, baking
Hope i haven't missed anyone.
Next fasting day: monday?

50shadesofbrown · 08/06/2013 14:39

Baking Congratulations on the loss. No loss is pathetic, it's all going in the right direction.

Emily you are right, seaside fish & chips demand a pudding of ice cream. It's the law I think. Grin
Personally I wouldn't do a fasting day if I was travelling though as hunger makes my travel sickness a hundred times worse. But maybe that's just me. At least the fridge is out of reach on the motorway!

I got so worried about DH last night and this morning (he developed high temperature as well as everything else) that I called 111. They sent us to OOH clinic who confirmed that the sickness etc is just a bug (thank goodness) but by very bad luck he also has a hernia! It's just a massive coincidence that they both started at the same time. Am extremely relieved. He has doctor next week anyway so they will soon get him fixed, it's only a minor op I believe.

I really hope I'm not coming down with this bug, I've been right off my food for the last day, can't finish anything. Hope it's just worry & having to deal with DH last night.

Onwards & Downwards Fellow Revolutionaries!

Emilythornesbff · 08/06/2013 15:36

baking that's great news. Well done. Enjoy the bbq.

50shades glad your dh is not in danger. Let's hope you don't get poorly.
Just stopped at services and had coffee. No cake! i know that's pathetic. I don't need cake but it's a step in the right direction to not pig out on NFDs.

Onwards and downwards fellow revolutionaries.

50shadesofbrown · 08/06/2013 17:09

Emily thanks. Don't belittle yourself - at least you did resist it! I think we need a new motto ( in addition to the others eg 'my body is not a rubbish bin') I suggest:

Celebrate All Victories

I'm still not hungry & DH is still asleep. Still, it's sunny here still (mwahaha!) so I've nearly got all the washing dry, woohoo!

Onwards & Downwards Fellow Revolutionaries!

Emilythornesbff · 08/06/2013 22:20

celebrate all victories
I likely. Very much.

Emilythornesbff · 09/06/2013 22:13

Fellow revolutionaries
Have eaten a magnum today Blush
I am fasting tomorrow.
Are you all in the pub? Envy

50shadesofbrown · 09/06/2013 22:27

Hi Emily sadly not in the pub. But, at least my appetite has returned a bit. Yesterday I had:
B part of a slice of rye toast & Marmite, couldn't finish it.
L nothing
D 2 grilled chicken thighs & some grilled mushrooms.
S bowl of porridge before & splodge of jam before bed.

Today:
Brunch (slept late - bliss) rye toast with poached eggs
D salad with chickpeas & tinned tuna.
S apple, couple of pieces of homemade chocolate truffle

50shadesofbrown · 09/06/2013 22:43

Bloody useless piece of crap phone! Always doing that! At least I wasn't part way through a sentence that time.

DH is feeling a lot better today. Still sore but mostly over his bug. Hope I don't get it, it's doing the rounds here...

Off to bed now. Must get to bed earlier. Much easier to make healthy food choices if if you've had a proper amount of sleep. Weigh-in day tomorrow, apprehensive. It's TOM so I may not have lost much.

Onwards & Downwards Fellow Revolutionaries.

twinklestar2 · 09/06/2013 23:28

Bacon and egg sarnie
Fish finger wrap
Stir fry
Yoghurt

SixPackWellies · 10/06/2013 07:18

Good morning everyone! Have been awol, just got tired of thinking about weightloss. Glad your DH is better after that bug 50, hope you do not get it!

I am just trotting along slowly. 10 stone 9 last weigh in. This week am concentrating on portion sizes and drinking more water.

OP posts:
Bakingnovice · 10/06/2013 10:22

Morning everyone. Cloudy here and I've got the heating on. Ate loads and did no exercise this weekend. But i did shred this morning and will walk to school later. I love the celebrate all victories motto.

Hope everyone is well.

50shadesofbrown · 10/06/2013 11:44

Hello everyone.

Baking Well done on doing the shred, is it as hard as it sounds? I'm so not a fan of hard exercise but don't like my wobbly bits either.

Isn't it lovely that the weather has finally cooled down a bit. I don't like the heat. Except that it's a Godsend for drying the laundry. DH and I are both cold weather types, DD appears to be as well. She has been a grumpy monkey recently which winds DH up as he has a short fuse as is obviously very uncomfortable at the moment. Moan moan moan. Sorry.

DD was being very cute a few minutes ago, putting her nose in DH's cup of (tepid) coffee & sniffing it then trying to tip it so she could get a taste. Obviously didn't let her but it made us laugh.

Well I weighed myself this morning. Am 10st 8lb. Which means I've lost 4lb this week. I bet some of that has been because I've felt a bit off, but I am pleased as it's TOM. So next week I will aim to maintain the current weight. I am pretty pleased though as am officially half way there, I have another 2 stone to lose to get to pre pregnancy weight. But more importantly I am no longer obsessively weighing myself every day, calorie counting or weighing my portion sizes. It's still a battle sometimes but for the first time in many years, I feel like I'm going to win.

Onwards and Downwards Fellow Revolutionaries!

Emilythornesbff · 10/06/2013 15:35

baking well done with your "shredding" . Like [50] I'm keen to know how tough it is. I do like exercise but it's really hard to get to the gym, hat with the gooseberries. Actually, I went at 9pm last night, both gooseberries in bed asleep (dh at home obviously). I was delighted to see loads of parking sauces to choose from right near the door and got right to the entrance and wondered why the doors wouldn't open. Because it's SUNDAY! And it closed at 8!!!!! Idiot!
Anyway. Fasting today. No food at all so far and I plan to have soup at supper time. Walked a couple of miles pushing both dcs to toddler group.

[50shades] very well done on your weight loss. I loved that image of your dd. very cute.your menu looks great.

[twinkle] that looks very restrained for a Sunday. Impressed.

[wellies] good WI. And good point about water and portion control.

To orrow's a NFD and I must show some restraint.

Onwards and downwards fellow revolutionaries.

Emilythornesbff · 10/06/2013 15:35

Blush at misuse of [] instead of **
Sorry.

50shadesofbrown · 10/06/2013 16:12

Emily lol at your gym debacle.

Emilythornesbff · 10/06/2013 17:36

Grin maybe I'll try again tonight.
Tough fasting day. Running around after ds. I'm exhausted.
Just had my soup and a bit of fruit. Tbh I could murder a glass of wine Sad but simply not allowed.

Emilythornesbff · 10/06/2013 17:37

And what's all this about parking sauces?
Spaces, obviously. [slaps own forehead]

iheartshoes · 10/06/2013 17:42

Hi ladies . Sounds like everyone is doing well . I didn't have a great weekend food wise but back on it today apart from a rather large piece of chocolate shortbread earlier
B - scrambled egg
L - salmon
D - prawn stir fry w cauli rice
S - olives , shortbread
I must keep up the water . Onwards and downwards.

Emilythornesbff · 10/06/2013 19:17

Hey iheart good menu. I bet that shortbread was nice. Grin

Forgot to mention my nsv today. Spontaneous remark from another mum today about how I looked like I'd lost weight.
Ok, maybe it just shows quite how fat I'd got but I grabbed it as a compliment Grin

Bakingnovice · 10/06/2013 19:50

The shred is great. It's only about 30 mins and really really works. However, I never lose with it. It tends to tone and always makes me feel better. I love Julian michaels and its quite a fun DVD to do. Be prepared to seriously ache for a few days. It's done wonders for my bingo wings and bat fat!

I'm sure there are people who've lost weight with it but I do it because its like popping an anti depressant.

Emilythornesbff · 10/06/2013 20:01

Ooh, ooh. Thanks.
I want.
