Just thought I would start a new thread, seeing as we are perilously close to the 1000 posts cut off!

We have all started WW this January and so far so good, we are all losing. This is a really supportive group. Please feel free to join us and share your WW tips and any recipes that you may have. Smile

Hi all. Some great losses and lots of positivity here. And a baby! Congrats Celtic!

Crunchie - I've only done one fast day so far - last Monday. I found it ok but was planning another on Thursday but woke up starving, craving porridge and with cystitis. So I binned the fast. Ate ok though through the day.

I still have cystitis so have just been to the doctor and have antibiotics.

I had a sneaky weigh this morning and have lost a bit. Was planning a fast today but the porridge won. And for some reason I was starving when I got back from doctor so had a crumpet. Maybe I'll try tomorrow.

Have been fairly good food wise but not wine wise! As usual! And had some friends over for lunch yesterday. Menu plan for the week is done and is mostly HD. I think we are having the salmon tonight.

Will try work out my stats to add to thread. I lose track as I am so up and down!

Have a good week everyone.

SallyBear · 18/02/2013 11:56

Cystitis is miserable Cider. Hope the antibees are doing the trick.

I've made a spreadsheet of our stats! Grin I thought it'd be easier to keep track of this way.
Here's the link:
docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgfMMHsnRKCOdGFHeDh6Z3VfWUxXMHJwMzFuZ0YtSUE&usp=sharing

Anyone with the link (so, you guys!) can edit it. Feel free to add or change things, hopefully I haven't got anything wrong but my hands are cold and it makes typing hard Grin

onthemetro · 18/02/2013 12:57

Oh, cystitis is awful, hope you start to feel better soon Cider.

Well done on the loss flatmouse, though I know you were hoping for more. If you earned 29 APs, do you think maybe the disappointing loss is down to that? I might be talking rubbish but I always find my weight loss is less when I've been more active. Two weeks ago I earned about 30 APs over the week and lost 1.5lbs, which I was a bit disappointed about because I too have about 3 stone to lose, but then the week after that I sat on my arse all week with a cold only earned 7 APs and lost 3.5lbs. Very weird.

Hope everyone is having a good day! I'm just about to go and have a fish finger sandwich. I seem to have awakened some kind of nostalgic love for them recently Grin

mrsv2 · 18/02/2013 13:00

Onthemetro.....im impressed with your geekage. Ive added myself. My weigh in day is Wednesdays. A good mid week point so if i blow all my weekles at the weekend only 2 days to be good :)

Richtea fingers 1pp for 2 biscuits :)

AddictedtoCrunchies · 18/02/2013 15:01

Ooh I love spreadsheets Grin. Grin Very happy now. Have updated my details - I'm the tallest so far Wink

Cider - I'm back on it tomorrow and, as I've been using Tuesday and Thursday as fast days I'm going to continue with that. I'll count points on Wednesday so hopefully Friday's weigh in won't be too bad. I've eaten enough in the last week to sink a battleship so I should manage ok Blush Hmm Failing that, I shall eat dust all week Wink

AddictedtoCrunchies · 18/02/2013 15:49

Sally just looking at that soup recipe, it says puy lentils but I've got red ones. Does it matter? I assume a lentil is the same as another lentil? Hmm

mrsv2 · 18/02/2013 16:03

Red and puy lentils have a very different texture. Red lentils will thicken and go mushy where as puy hold their shape and are a bit nuttier

flatmouse · 18/02/2013 16:08

onthemetro love the spreadsheet :) Regarding APs - i've done about the same from the start (basic dog walking so likely to not change much - although we did go further both walks yesterday because it was so nice) - so no major increase. Suspect my body has just got used to what i'm doing - so hoping to shake it up a little tonight!

SallyBear · 18/02/2013 16:08

But there again if you're using the red lentils, you can add more stock if you don't like thick soup. Red lentil soup always makes me think of school cookery lessons and Bacon, tomato and red lentil soup!

onthemetro · 18/02/2013 16:19

Ah, ignore what I said then flatmouse Grin definitely shake it up, it's good to keep your body guessing!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 18/02/2013 16:25

Think I'll go with the red as that's what I've got. Lentil, bacon and tomato sounds lovely too Grin

jazzcat28 · 18/02/2013 17:51

Spreadsheet updated! Love it!

I'm having HD coconut prawn curry tonight. A little treaty as 10pp plus rice per portion but I have had zero point soup for lunch and am ravenous so hope it's worth it!

MyDaydream · 18/02/2013 18:05

Added myself to the spreadsheet!
Second day of pointing and I seem to be doing okay, resisting dipping into the cupboard whenever I'm in the kitchen although its such an annoying habit to break, I've felt myself going for the cereal a few times just because that's what I'm used to. Went 4 over my dailies yesterday but had done 6 activity points throughout the day so not too worried.
Just wondering, I had an oats so simple porridge for breakfast this morning which is 3 points, will that just be the sachet then I need to add extra for the milk, or will the 3 points be including the milk?

jazzcat28 · 18/02/2013 18:08

Count the oats then add the milk Daydream

mrsv2 · 18/02/2013 18:09

Mydaydream.... I always add milk on top
TMI sorry... Been doing this for 2 weeks and considering my fruit and veg has hugely increased I feel really constipated. I used to go everyday but its now every 2-3. When I go they aren't hard but a very solid poo. Anyone else finding a change in their habits??

SallyBear · 18/02/2013 18:27

Drink more water. If you're eating a lot of bananas and eggs they an have a "binding effect"!

Hello.

I had a bit of a rubbish week last week. Won't bore you with the details but I did a fair amount of emotional eating. Tried to watch it where I could but used all my weeklies, exercise points and then sum! Was very relieved to WI this morning with only a 1/2lb gain. This week is unlikely to be much better but will do my best and the aim is to minimise gain rather than lose.

Great spreadsheet, thank you. I have made it a bit untidy though and couldn't get 2 of my entries to sit in line! Can anyone fix that or tell me how?

Good luck this week.

Doretaball · 18/02/2013 19:25

Eek! Some not sum!!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 18/02/2013 21:32

Me again with another soup question Grin

Went to Sainsbury's earlier in search of '800g vine ripened tomatoes' and they were £2 something for 250g. Do you think I could just use normal tomatoes? This is for the soup Sally linked to down there / somewhere (or up there /\ depending on which way you read your threads)

I'm home from hols now and will mostly be eating dust until Friday's weigh in. Grin

SallyBear · 18/02/2013 21:58

Ouch! I'd probably do a mixture of tomatoes. Some of the vine roasted and baby plums in one their value packs. You need the vine for the flavour when roasting, I'd also put some balsamic vinegar (a dessert spoon) over the tomatoes with the olive oil. I'll make some too as I have a tin of puy lentils. We should compare!

Lost 2 1/2 lb at weigh in last night so quite pleased with that Smile

Bought myself a couple of books to try and keep my mojo and inspiration, one is on emotional eating so we'll see how that goes, I'd love to feel I've cracked that side of me at some point in my life but I feel at best it'll be a constant battle. Another book is a biography of someone on their path losing weight, except the front cover has a gorgeous looking chocolate cake on it!

SallyBear · 19/02/2013 08:47

Well done Suzy! My WI is tomorrow. I'm not sure if I've lost this weekend, but I put on some newish pjs yesterday and they were loose around the waist! Such a great feeling!

OP posts:
flatmouse · 19/02/2013 09:22

Well done Suzy, and Doretaball, hope things get better soon.

Really enjoyed over spending my points last night (meal out at Prezzo) - wasn't too impressed with the service or the restaurant, but the food was as lovely as last time! Roasted chicken wings - what a treat! and Caesar salad with King Prawns - delicious (probably a whole lettuce in that plateful as well) - certainly didn't feel i was missing out (apart from the wine - but i was driving so a reason not to drink).

Back to normal today, enjoyed porridge with blueberries for breakfast, so having my thai green soup for lunch. We've got smoked haddock fillets out for tea tonight. Yum!

Good luck tomorrow Sally. Like the sound of that recipe with lentils and tomatoes, will take a look!
