Just thought I would start a new thread, seeing as we are perilously close to the 1000 posts cut off!

We have all started WW this January and so far so good, we are all losing. This is a really supportive group. Please feel free to join us and share your WW tips and any recipes that you may have. Smile

Oh I forgot to thank the poster about using frozen bananas blitzed for zero pp ice cream! Tried this on Sunday, added a little low fat natural yoghurt and nutella (pointed in) as a treat, was yummy!

Well done on the loss Suzy!

I'm going out for lunch today, I'm hoping it'll just involve a trip to Boots and then Starbucks, I don't really want to spend loads of points eating out somewhere. But I'm looking forward to it.

Good luck for tomorrow Sally. I love that feeling of things fitting better! I wore a cardigan the other day that I couldn't even force together to button up but it buttoned up and was sorta baggy the last time I wore it. Yay Grin

Going to walk quite a lot today so hoping for lots of APs!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 19/02/2013 11:01

Well done on the loss Suzy.

_ Here's my line. Actually only put on 1lb while I was away but had put 3 on in the week before. However I've still lost 6lbs overall so I'm trying to focus on that. Am back on the wagon today so onwards and upwards.

PS. Excuse any strange errors on the spreadsheet. As I work for a Swiss company, it's brought up all the Excel commands in German. Now my German O level was a fair few years ago now so I can't work out how/where to change it to English and I also can't find the 'save' icon so I may need to ask one of you to update me Smile.

jazzcat28 · 19/02/2013 12:08

Well done Suzy and Metro - great losses and isn't it fab when it's noticeable for clothes etc. I am very pleased to be back in work trousers which didn't fit before Christmas and also a dress which I bought for a hen party but is unworn as didn't fit until now!

Crunchie you've drawn a line now you can focus on all the good work which you know you can do if you focus.

I can highly recommend the HD prawn coconut curry recipe. It made two very generous portions and tasted amazing. DH was skeptical at a 'diet curry' but asked if we could have it again next week!

Just over 5 weeks until Easter - im hoping another 12-14lb off will be manageable

Then we start TTC so who knows what'll happen!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 19/02/2013 13:02

Thanks jazzcat. Think of all the APs you'll be earning after Easter Wink

CiderwithBuda · 19/02/2013 13:06

Hi all. Lovely sunny afternoon here after a very foggy and cold early morning.

Went to WW meeting. Lost 2lbs. Happy with that!

Will go and update my stats in a minute.

Must check out recipe thread. Keep forgetting about it.

CiderwithBuda · 19/02/2013 13:13

Have added my stats - I used my original start date which was Jan 2012. Hope that is ok.

jazzcat28 · 19/02/2013 13:13

Interestingly shagging isn't in the WW activity tracker - do you think it equates to gymnastics, aerobics or Zumba?!? Grin

SuzySuzSuz · 19/02/2013 13:38

Well I guess it depends on how you're doing it Wink

We had the compulsory joke in our meeting as to how many pro points was in horse meat.....?!

MrsRudyRudpoo · 19/02/2013 18:11

Hi all. Well after me moaning to you all last week about having no loss I was thrilled to have lost 5lbs at tonights weigh in!! Yay!!!
I ate all my points like you suggested, and I'm feeling so motivated. Hit my 5% goal too. I'm on my phone so can't access spreadsheet but my stats are
Start weigh 14st 9.5lbs
Week 4 weight 13st 12lbs
Height 5"8 total loss 11.5lbs

SuzySuzSuz · 19/02/2013 18:53

Wow well done mrsrudy that's an awesome loss and congratulations on reaching the 5% milestone!

onthemetro · 19/02/2013 20:02

Wow mrsrudy that's amazing! Well done!

I ended up having a Boots Shapers wrap (8pp), a bag of milkybar buttons (5pp) and then...a tall caramel creme frappucino from Starbucks, 7pp. It was all very delicious, but I hadn't planned on having that many points (damn those milkybar buttons!) ...so I had an omelette and a big salad for dinner to try and minimise the damage.

I don't usually drink coffee but have found a jar of mellow birds at the back of the cupboard - is that 0pp? Obviously excluding the milk. There's no nutritional information on the jar and I really fancy a mug Grin

jazzcat28 · 19/02/2013 20:17

Had to google Mellow Birds Blush but it looks like it's 0pp as it's just coffee

MyDaydream · 19/02/2013 21:39

Well done mrsrudy, that's a great loss.

I've spent all afternoon cooking 0 point treats from the WW website. I made strawberry compote, summer fruit sorbet and orange jelly with nectarines and raspberrys. We also had veg soup for dinner. The kitchen looked a state when I finished but I'm really happy with the results and DP said the jelly was nice.
I do have 7 points left and don't know what to do with them. I was going to have extra yoghurt with my compote but I got quite a lot from 2 pints worth I didn't see the point. I'm not even especially hungry but know its better to finish them all.

MyDaydream · 19/02/2013 21:42

2 points worth not pints.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 19/02/2013 22:32

I did it. Made it to bedtime with 2 points to spare. Had to sit on my hands when I got in at 9.45 to stop me raiding the fridge Grin

Night all Thanks

SallyBear · 20/02/2013 08:25

Bollocks bollocks bollocks. A 3lb gain! Guess who's being strict with herself and saying no to cake, takeaway curry and wine!

mrsv2 · 20/02/2013 09:24

a very good week for me.....-4.9lb
Again this week i ate all my dailies and virtually all my weeklies. i had wine, half a toasted teacake and half a cake ( bonus of a toddler, i get to share) where as last week i hardly touched my weeklies.
Eating out this weekend so that will be interesting and then March will be tough month. visiting parents, center parcs, wedding anniversary, DD will be 2 and easter

jazzcat28 · 20/02/2013 09:24

Oh dear Sally... hopefully this isn't too much of a set back and you can draw a line under last week. At least you know where you might have gone wrong - it'd have been worse if you'd been a saint and put on!

jazzcat28 · 20/02/2013 09:25

Well done MrsV!

mrsv2 · 20/02/2013 09:25

just moving the spreadsheet link before we lose it

AddictedtoCrunchies · 20/02/2013 09:50

Sally you're such an inspiration to us and a source of much knowledge so hopefully we can help you get back on track. Here's your line

__

You seemed to be going great guns when you did F&H - is it worth going back on that for a week to get you back in order? You were cooking some wonderful sounding meals and were very motivated? Perhaps have a go though the fridge and lose all the bad stuff (if there is any?), plan your meals for the next few days and go from there.?

Sending you Thanks Thanks for all the support you've given so far and Brew too. But no Wine or Biscuit Smile

AddictedtoCrunchies · 20/02/2013 09:52

I want to make a slow cooker stew type thing tomorrow. I have the veg and the meat but I don't know how to make the gravy bit. I've always used a casserole packet mix but wanted to try and make my own. I have OXO (chicken, beef and veg) plus bisto and various 'erbs - what should I do?

SallyBear · 20/02/2013 10:06

Ahhh bless you Crunchie! I am off in search of my mojo! Grin
Stews. I think that the best type if stew is a slow cooked one, and I have used this one a lot in the past and it has always been a success. You can leave out the dumplings if you hate the sound of them or use reduced fat Atora suet. beef stew
I find that just dusting the veg and raw meat in flour and then covering with beer, a crumbled stock cube, some water, a squirt of tomato puree and some Worcestershire sauce gives a great flavour. Stick in some bay, seasoning and thyme. Cook in a low oven covered with foil and lid for about two hours minimum. It comes out thickened and tender. Delish. Also very low in fat too.
There you are. You've inspired me!!
